Booked and stayed twice. Both times we got upgraded to different types of room (executive room and junior suite) by Immaculate, the friendly front desk staff. Both rooms are equally nice and spacious. We are extremely happy staying here, hotel staff are nice and friendly. However there is 1 downside we noticed while staying here. We asked for a bucket of ice through in-room service and were charged for it. Never have we been charged for a bucket of ice in a 4-star hotel/resort. But overall, we are still happy with the room rate and the rooms we stayed in. Will go back again!

Stayed for day off. I liked the room, its big and spacious. However, when I asked if there is an extension of the check out (just in case) like the other hotels, the man in the reception answered, Youre in another hotel. Didnt answer and turned my back, made me think if Ill go back again next time

While checking in I decided to cancel the booking due to pool being closed. But the manager came to me. He promoted call reception and they will open it for us. Trying to argue to open the pool every morning... but it is a struggle. So if you are staying there forget about pool. And gym is so minimal too.Got charged £68 for laundry. And here is what I got back. Couldn’t even wash it properly. Was arguing to the manager every time. About everything. And they go it will be charged extra to wash them again.And constantly see other clients not being happy about their stay too. I would only stay here if there is no where else to go.Thanks for an awkward 7 day stay !

They say it’s a pet friendly hotel only to be informed on arrival it’s an additional 200aed on top of the booking fee to have your pet stay. When I called prior to confirm the room there was mention of this or on the website I was booking from. Also pets are not allowed in the lobby. Not the best customer service.

Positive things first: the rooms are really spacious, well equipped, clean and the housekeeping does a great job.Negative: SWIMMING POOL IS CLOSED (!) for maintenance and the reception staff does not even find it necessary to inform the guests about it at the check-in. When I complained about it they just didnt bother at all. If I had known that I would have never booked that hotel as the pool was a must for me. So be warned!In general the reception staff is not service-oriented at all and quite unfriendly. They do not even say goodbye when you check-out.

This is with respect to our stay at this so called (four star hotel) Donatello. First of all its not a 4-star nor a 3-star hotel. Its an average 2 star hotel with very basic services, old rooms, dirty towels and bed sheet.Location of the hotel:-1. Very Bad, its located at a very shady place of the city. Surrounding with shady pubs and bars. If youre traveling to Dubai, I suggest you to not come to this place. There are so many better location.2. Very far from the main cities. Its just in between Marina and Downtown. Deira is much better than this area. They say its near Mall of Emirates. But its actually very far.Service:-1. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this hotel 3. Although management is mostly responsible for this rating, since they dont know how to greet their guests. They will ask you your Ids, passports, emirates id. Very poor service and management. One of the worst hotel management I have seen here in Dubai.2. Room Service doesnt exist here. So dont expect regular room cleaning at all. We called 50 times for clean towels, but we never got! Rooms were smelling so bad, with disgusting smell.My personal horrible experience (WORST IN DUBAI) :-1. THE HOTEL AUTHORITY REGISTERED A CASE AGAINST US! THEY CALLED POLICE BECAUSE WE WERE TRYING TO SEEK ENQUIRY WHY HOTEL MANAGEMENT IS SO POOR.2. I INVITED TWO OF MY GUESTS TO VISIT ME AT THE HOTEL. (THIS HOTEL DOESNT EVEN ALLOW VISITORS) - SHOCKED!!!! FOR THAT REASON THEY CALLED POLICE AND THEN POLICE REGISTERED A CASE ON US.3. THEY HARASSED ME ENTIRE NIGHT, DIDNT LET ME GO SLEEP. ASKED ME TO PAY THEM MORE MONEY AND TAKE ANOTHER ROOM OR ELSE THEY WILL REGISTER A CASE FOR CALLING MY FRIENDS AT THE HOTEL.4. Manager and security kept abusing us. They discriminated because I belong from India. Even when police came, they asked my nationality first. After that management gathered around 30-40 people at 4am at night and I was really scared. They filed a charge against my friend and took his undertaking (who was residing in emirates) and then let us leave after collecting all the signatures.I just want to share my trip experience with those who have no idea about how things work in such shady hotels. This was by far the most scariest incident of my life. I prefer everyone to opt for good brand hotels instead of such shady places.

Very neat, organised and spacious rooms. Staffs were courteous and professional. Also loved that they employed mixed races. Was happy to see my African brothers and sister as part of the staffs.

Very poor hotel, tried to illegally take my money by charging me for a broken door lock that was already broken when I got there, I had to spend 3 days with Do Not Disturb sign on the door as I didnt have a lock... Smelly rooms, tired equipments. Restaurants and food are disaster. Ive seen bad hitel9but this one is exceptionally bad.

Got upgraded to suite because theres no available deluxe room.. then reception lady asked me to sign a form that whatever damage in the room, we will have to pay.. we are very careful with all our action and never mess up the room when we left but when we are about to check out they told us the we broke the metal door lock which is very impossible to break as it is thick metal item which it is meant for securing ur safety from unvited people to go in.. or maybe they have used cheap items thats why got easily broken or they did some drama only to make us pay... not good experience but lesson learned

We checked in the room and found it extremely dirty we found a cockroach and a rotten piece of cake under the couch after we informed them they changed our room then we wanted to check out the next day they claimed that the soap plate was missing they accused us of taking the plate although we didn’t take it and we are not interested in a small soap plate they made us pay for it before we go out and their excuse is that this is the hotel’s policy. Why we would take a soap plate that wasn’t there in the first place ? Plus keep in mind that we found a cockroach in the room!! With all the covid pandemic this is how they clean the rooms? unacceptable!!!

Stayed there a few years back liked the management, renovated rooms and spacious. This time, filthy carpets, bathroom flies that keep coming out, rude front desk management who knows nothing about the hospitality industry.Great location, well serviced but plenty of hotels in the area which are better maintained.Pub music too loud till late hours and my last day awoke to some military yelling which ended up the construction workers on the opposite plot doing morning routines (surprised management have not. complained to stop such noises)

Stayed here on a boxing trip. Rooms are nice, choice of smoking and non smoking. Rooftop pool and gym are nice. Sadly not enough time there to enjoy everything

Fantastic day spent

After a booking mix-up (not the fault of the hotel), the staff couldnt have been more receptive. The even gave me a surprise birthday card (must have figured it out from my passport).The rooms are immaculate, all staff speak fluent English and the venue is well appointed with luxury item.The location is only one block from the metro station, so you shouldnt need to worry taxis.The bar downstairs is a bonus for us westerners who dont mind a cool ale after a hot day travelling.

Used the Sports Bar one evening, Great atmosphere. A live band who had the right genre of music to suit most people. Courteous bar staff.

Optimum location and easy metro access. The service is good and reasonable. However, they take too much time at checkout.Parking outside the hotel is available also.

This is one of the few hotels in Dubai that are accepting pets, but unfortunately the hotel is closed due to the pandemic, only the club and the bar are open.

Elegant, business class Hotel. Beautifully furnished. Great part of town, near the Mall of the Emirates.Bed: modified pillowtop. A little hard, but not bad.Fine Fitness Center, open to guests at no charge.Lobby is noisy at night, with music from their bar; Not quite the ambience one would think the hotel would wish to create. Also, no business center ... a definite minus for a Hotel of this quality.Good for the price.

Worst service I have ever experienced.

After our cruise we were put up for this hotel for the day as our flight as not until the early hours of the following day. We had a lovely day relaxing around the rooftop pool and complimentary Wi-Fi which was very nice. The pool/bar guy was brilliant and looked after us very very well. We ordered lunch from the poolside menu and he even set a table for the four of us complete with white table cloth. The deluxe rooms were huge and very comfortable for when we had an quick nap before leaving for the airport. The Hotel itself is located in the Al Bashra district close to the Mall of the Emirates.

This hotel is great! Located 3-5 min walk from the train station and the mall of Emirates. In addition, almost all the time it is a taxi standing outside. You will find grocery stores, pharmacy, other stores, and various eating places near by. It takes about 10-15 minutes with a taxi to the popular JBR beach, and about 15-20 minutes to the famous Burj Khalifa and Dubai mall.The staff is super friendly, always smiling and doing their best to make your stay nice. My favorite is likely that they have 2 bars in the hotel with various drinks and beverage. Also they have a service for tourist that will book a tour in Dubai (or citys near by) that are much cheaper than the ones at the mall or beach.The breakfast is OK.The rooms are big (smallest one, 30kvm) and are cleaned very well every day.I would with out a doubt recommend this hotel to anyone!

The first impression when we arrived was not great. The lobby was not like that of a great hotel. But when we arrived to the room we all said Wow. The room was spacious and beautiful. The gym was not very good. The indoor cycling machine did not work.The only complain I have is that they did not offer a great room service automatically. For example, I booked a room for three. I expected the room to have three beds in it on our arrival. It had two. I needed to phone the reception desk and ask for the third. It arrive within 10 min.They are supposed to put bottles of water in the room every morning, but they did not before we ask them. Well these were not big problems.Overall I really enjoy staying in this hotel.

The hotel was amazing when it comes to room cleaning, wider space and decorations. One thing try to take a room in the 3rd floor and above if you dont like to hear the bar/club music. The hotel is very close to Emirates Mall and there is a restaurant, grocery and laundry near by the hotel. I really recommend specially the price value was good compared to other hotels and luxury

During my visit to Dubai I had stayed in hotel Donatello, I would say value to money. The rooms are very specious and clean. Also the hotel staff is very polite. They even have security measure if you love travelling alone like I do. More like a business travellers hotel, though conveniently located near a mall, not far from the Jumairah disyrict either.

A relatively good 3 star hotel.Problems:1. Quality of food is not to the standard,2. toilets are not getting needed attention, and3. Spa and massage on the top floor should be under more control.
