It was my first time to visit this clinic. I took my rabbit Ashton ‘cause he had a seizure. I was told that there would be an additional charge as it was an emergency, but in the end I was not charged the extra.Reception staff was very polite and helpful. Veterinarian David was knowledgeable and very gentle with Ashton. We were prescribed with the medicine, which I had to give during four days.My rabbit is feeling good now, and no seizures at all. 🙌🏻Thank you all!

My Maltese needed surgery to remove a mass on his eyelid. His vet of 8 years was on leave and he needed the surgery done ASAP. I was referred to Dr Metje who took him in and operated smoothly with zero complications. She called before his operation to go over more things based on his blood work. Shes very professional, very thorough and very compassionate.Based on my paranoia, which was entirely in my head, I asked to come back only after 2 days to just check on his eye and Dr Alexandera let us come in the same day. She talked me through everything, explaining every last detail and put me at ease.The vets, the staff, are all very accommodating and quick to respond to ensure great customer satisfaction and well being of the aniamls.

Pet Travel Carrier is very important for a smoother and easier cat or dog relocation.. It should be of correct size (click here to find out how to measure your dog or cat) and IATA approved with side screws otherwise the airline can refuse cargo since they will be fined if they accept. It is best if you get your Pet accustomed to his Travel Carrier a few weeks before traveling so he/she is comfortable with it (feed them in it or have them sleep in it at night). Leave something with a familiar smell in the box to comfort them. Put an incontinence pad on the bottom to absorb the fluids produced during the flight.Allow your Pet access to water at all times, the rabbit drinking bottles are working quite well for this. They will not spill too much leaving your Pet’s cage dry during the trip.Don’t feed your Pet just before traveling since this might make them sick and soil their cage, Small dogs might need some food otherwise their energy levels will drop too much, ask our Vets for advice.Take your Pets for a nice walk before enclosing him/her. Make sure they have done all needed doing.Pets have to be on the most direct flight to the country of destination.Try to book night arrival times in the Middle East countries (this protects your Pet from exposure to the sun and high heat during the day

Weve been going to Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic for many years now with our cat Dolce and have always had impeccable service and found the vets to be very caring and knowledgeable. Recently we had to make a terrible decision to put Dolce down due to multiple severe terminal conditions and the onset of pain/suffering that we did not want for her. ABVC made that day just a little bit less terrible by handling the situation with the utmost respect and care. Unfortunately, I have gone through this experience before, with another clinic, and that experience was nowhere near as caring, honoured, and peaceful. For that, I wish to thank all the staff at ABVC for the compassion and respect you gave our family in very challenging times.

Great team, very supportive, and I can tell that they really care about the animals they treat! We had one kitten coming around our villa. The poor thing had an infected eye and it was clear that it needed help. Once we brought him over, the vet have told us that we will need to get his eye removed. The staff really took good care of the kitty and he is now in recovery. We are really grateful that the team took such good care of the little one :D

Id recommend this place to all pet parents. I had my dog Oreo neutered there without any hassle. The next day he was up and about like nothing happened. Apart from that my dog had ingested a rusty thing and we were at the verge of losing him due to peritonitis. I went to 2 doctors before that in my area, but both told us off saying that he just had gastric issues. At ABVC, they immediately figured out it was something more serious and due to their quick diagnosis and surgery, we got our Oreo back. We are extremely grateful to all the staff there, right from the front desk staff to the vet assistants to the doctors who were very kind, patient and cared for Oreo just like their own. Special mention to Dr. David and Dr. Metje who performed the surgery and always kept us posted of everything happening with him while he was there. Thank you all.

Was not a correct treatment for my cat as after consulting with more then a few vet doctors they confirmed that the treatment was incorrect . Maybe they are helping some animals but in my case it was just wasting of time and money. Fully unsatisfied with a service .

I can enthusiastically recommend ABVC to all who are looking for loving and comprehensive care for their pets. My cat (Twinkle) developed an issue non-stop diarrhea over 2 years ago, and our previous vet was not taking the time to understand or treat the issue. we wasted lots of money and time between many vets and nothing working. A month ago my husband looked for a vet who was open just to have deworming for our cat. Dr. Michael took the time to listen about our situation and he asked the right questions to find a treatment plan, all while trying to keep our costs low. My greatest compliment is that he clearly communicated about the issue, which has been my problem with other vets for over 2 years. In a rush-rush profit driven world, Dr. Michael treated a new patient (our cat) with love and attention like he was his own cat.

Excellent care overall by the clinc during a difficult journey of declining health. Kudos to Dr Metje for providing a level of care thats worth it. Mr Pullo will be eternally grateful.

We have used ABVC in previous years and we were always happy however yesterday absolutely disappointing and extremely unprofessional. My dog was booked for dental cleaning, usually they would have provided me with an estimate but didnt. The morning I dropped my dog they kept calling her a different name and didnt seem to know what was going on. Eventually one of the staff members told me that the estimation will be 1000 AED for dental cleaning and any extractions will cost between 30 to 100 AED, which is what I am use to as I have bought my other dogs before. However during pick up the final bill was 2,200 AED, how on earth can it go over by more than double the estimate and when I questioned why its this amount, no body knew and couldnt explain it to me.Eventually they decided to charge me 1900 AED but since I had APC discount, it came to 1723 AED. I didnt think much of it as first but when I got home I realized they charged me a lot more than what I should have paid.Eventually I called and made further inquires and one fo the staff members who was very helpful told me they made a mistake will refund 350 AED however it still didnt add up with the calculations.Im afraid I will not be using their services again as I simply do not trust them for what they charge. Vets are extremely expensive in the UAE and to make matters worse they charged me more than I should have without given me a detailed bill.Personally, I liked the staff and I do not have an issue with them at all but they definitely need work on their payment procedure. I would suggest you asking for any bill before paying to understand what they are charging you for.

PLEASE do not go to this vetMy kitten died due to their neglicence, i had brought my cat to their establsihment a week before he died and she said he was completely fine after doing a basic check even though i pointed out the fact that he looked severly overweight yet someone demonstrated weighing less than his skinny looking brother yet the Vet didnt take that as anything serious. A week later after the visit i noticed my kittens breahting pattern being weird so i rushed him to Modern Veterinary clinic where the vet immediaately noticed what was wrong and tried his best to save him where he sadly didnt win the fight and passed awayplease do not go here and risk your pet potentially dying, i wish i was told of something similar to this happening so i could still have my baby with me

We first came to the first clinic that was found, but there they refused and offered to go to another. So we got to know ABVC.The kitten was under the supervision of Dr. Alexandra and her assistant Adela . Words cannot describe the comfort I felt from my initial on-line chat, to the immediate call from the team member, to meeting the wonderful Dr Medhi. My chihauhaus, Zeus and Bella, were so comfortable with the entire team. Zeus is usually very nervous and not as compliant as Bella. I was shocked at how he allowed Dr Medhi to examine him. Also, Dr Medhi gave very realistic suggestions for both their issues and I trust his opinion explicitly. The main thing that stands out the most is the wonderful, caring team, each of which went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I have finally found the best vet for my wonderful furry family.

When my puppy was only 3 months old I got a call that his eye was coming out. He went for a emergency operation at a different veterinary clinic. After trying for months to save his eye, he got very sick. Thats when I called ABVC and went to Dr Ellen Kruijning. She made sure my puppy could be a puppy again. Now my dog is very happy and almost 1 year old. He has one eye, but is doing everything that a normal dog also can! Thanks for helping my dog en helping us to accept the situation.

We sought for 2nd opinion at ABVC due to a negative experience at a neighbouring vet within Al Barsha and ABVC never disappoints. Dr. Alex and Dr. David are very professional, compassionate and they love their jobs. Our cat Tofu, suffered from cellulitis and was hospitalised in ABVC for a month - she is alive and is now on the mend because of them. These doctors and nurses who looked after Tofu never gave up on her. Rate wise, ABVCs rates are reasonable and cheaper compared to other clinics. My husband and I can rest well at night knowing that we have a reliable vet clinic we can go to for any concerns regarding our pets.

Got our little puppy spayed at ABVC. The team was amazing and helped guide us through the entire process. The operation was done so well and our puppy was back to her naughty self within Two days. The wife and I adopted our first kitten, Avocato, from this lovely clinic in the heart of Al Barsha. Forward a year later and we just adopted another from a 3rd party but enrolled her with ABVC & their Friends of Pets package. The helpful on call support (and WhatsApp) is always available with helpful information. Most of the vets, specially Dr. David Perez, are truly a joy to meet and leave our little ones in their safe hands.

The clinic has high standard professionals that look after your pets in the best way. It’s been 11 years I take my cats and they have been always treated perfectly, even went through several major surgeries. Dr. Mehdi is always there to explain and give you the best advices.

I wish I could be nice and give this place more than one star, but the shoe fits. We brought our cat to dr Metje who required tests that are not necessary for diagnosis so that she can charge more. After weeks going there and lots of tests and send samples out while our pocket tears dirhams for the service, our cat still not well and that vet just know nothing except more and more tests. She dosent care about the animals there more focused on money.

I’m already impressed by the professionalism and friendly attitude of everyone at the clinic! And especially in these times they are handling the situation very well. My little puppy had Parvo virus, and we moved her here from another clinic that was overpriced.Al Barsha Clinic took really good care of her for almost two weeks as her case was very serious, and she made it! Dr Alex is probably one of the best vets in Dubai.My opinion is based on 9 years of multiple vets trying to diagnose my oldest dog and experimenting with him , further thinking us as cash cows (constantly running useless tests etc).Alex was the only vet that was able to help. She is not only a great professional but very personal with both my dogs and us .

Since 2004 the vets of the Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic have been looking after my zoo. We have now 6 Saluki’s , 5 cats, 10 tortoises, 6 hedgehogs, and over the years we had many more animals, saved from the desert. The vets worked always very knowledgeable and with love for each one animal we had or have. One of my Shepard’s had strange coloring and they found out it was a heart problem, with the right medicines she totally recovered and lived to the beautiful age of 17 years. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone with animals, they care, the love and will explain what ever is the matter. Not one to usually throw tantrums publicly, but in this case i need to share my horrible experience with ABVC vet clinic in Barsha. This is only after they repeatedly refuse to appologise for the way they treated my cat or admitting that their team has misdiagnosed and mishandled the case which ended up having to put the poor cat down.kat was taken in for a routine check up in february. The team has taken the liberty to perform a procedure without my concent ear flush.Since then, she started having problems in her ear and developed an infection. One vet passed her on to another cuz they where going on annual leave.Over period of 3 months, she went back in 3 times as she was getting worse and worse. Same course of treatment repeated with more and more medication and antibiotics shoved down her ear and throat. No alternative course of treatment was offered.After we thought enough is enough, the lack of compassion, the poor communication, the rush in examining her because of course there are few other customers outside waiting for next appointment, we took her elsewhere.She was properly examined and vets told me that what probably started off as a puncture turned into a rapture of her ear membrane from the constant shoving of medication down her ear canal, something they would not have done had they properly diagnosed her in first place. This was irreversible damage and being an older cat, her chances of recovery was very low.Months of going back and forth, thousands of dirhams in medication and hospitalisation, result was she had to be put down on 02 August.I got in touch with ABVC clinic again, they investigated with the multiple vets that examined her , since she kept being passed around due to their inavailbity or whatever, and their response was sorry for your loss, we did what we thought was best for Kat, we dont believe we did any wrong.I might just have been unlucky with my experience, am sure they all qualified and what not. But there was a vast difference in treatment, attentiveness, professionalism and compassion i felt in the other clinic compared to what felt like a business with their clinic.I cant help but feel this might have been avoided if they took more time and where more attentive in the way they handled this and maybe poor thing didnt have to get that sick 😢I am sharing so all dubai based pet owners are aware of this. I should have picked up on the red flags, i cant take it back now and for that am sorry and feel guilty. If it was a person, we could have accused them of malpractice. This is still a living being unfortunately with no voice and here the regulations arent strict enough on those who do them wrong.Please feel free to share, something ive never asked before but id highly appreciate. If you know what else i can do please let me know as they wont even compensate me for some of the huge bills for useless procedures and meds they charged each visit.

Killing healthy animals for no reason and then hiding, ignoring to answer what they did. Many deaths over the years, many wrong surgeries. Everyone knows this clinic doesnt have reputation other then horror stories

Thank you Dr David and the ABVC clinic team for taking such good care of Magda and Snipes. Their post-neutering/spaying recovery has been amazing and my two beautiful bunnies are now back to their normal crazy selves!

Excellent clinic with professional staff. I have been taking my cats here for many years, one of them with a serious kidney problem, and he is doing so much better now thanks to the prescribed diet and care. Highly recommended vets - Dr Mehdi & Dr Ellen.

What a blessing to find a place that not only cares about making money but also about giving back to the community. The campaign of Spay a Stray is the best example of that and I cant thank enough the whole team of ABVC for their amazing efforts in this campaign. Many of our cats got this benefit and that help us tremendously to control the population in our community.Thank you ABVC you are the best!

Have 3 cats, 2 with chronic medical problems. Referred us appropriately, 1 ultimately has done better with care at ABVC than with a previous clinic. Both Dr. Mehdi and Dr. Michael have been thoughtful and knowledgeable. The entire clinic staff takes a real interest in all 3 cats and genuinely cares about their health. Our boys couldnt receive better care anywhere else.

ABVC staff and Vet showed good service every time we visit the clinic. The staff are very friendly and polite. They showed love and took care of my pet well. Very satisfied with their service.

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC! my kitten was clearly sick, i take the kitten to the vet and they repeatedly say he is okay, i take my kitten to another clinic and he was in critical health, this clinic did not even notice! very unprofessional and careless , if i took the vets word for it my kitten would have died!

Was there a week ago with my cat. Excellent service and friendly staff. The doctor was friendly and very knowledgeable. What i liked a lot the animal comes first. Highly recommend ABVC.

I visited this place today to check out the pets for adoption I and must say the two gentlemen at the reception were really good and kind to me. They were of great help to me and i am really grateful. Great customer service guys 👍🏼
