The shopping market which is extremely popular with all tourists especially Asians as it houses everything that a tourist needs to buy to take back home for themselves or for family and friends.Jewelry shops are in plenty and so are textile, ready made garments, perfumes, souvenirs, etc.I used to live in Meena Bazar in the early 80s and have seen Businesses change in a big way. It used to be dominated by Textile merchants, Ready made garment owners and Ladies Material shops but now has been taken over by mostly Jewelry shops.We had Ratans Trading a shop which was the most favourite for (Tripais - Trippers who carried a full suitcase of items to sell and at least got a free ticket when carrying this suitcase and delivering to a person in Mumbai), Madhoor Stores, Viva Textiles, Mayfair Trading, My Shop, and SHE Trading was just at the end of the Meena Bazar corner on Al Faheedi Street, Al Jaffar Furniture, ITL Cosmos, Colours Video, etc. Only Madhoor Stores and ITL Cosmos have survived from the early days.If you are hungry or are looking for some delicious snacks then there are some very good eating Restaurants like Kailas Parbat and Puranmal and there are Cafeterias serving scrumptous bhajiyas and sandwiches. My favourite is the Disco Sandwich and Disco Chai (Tea with cardamom) served by Palace Cafeteria in the small service lane next to Madhoor Stores....for about Dhs 5/- it is a steal and fill you up completely.Dont miss this place if visiting Dubai ....Enjoy !

A local shopping bargain market, having variety of products availability. Mobile, Laptop, Desi Restaurants, Cloth Market and Abayas, Gold Shops (Malabar, Joyalukkas), Currency exchanges etc. Easy metro train access, get down from Al-Fahidi metro station. My advice, dont take your car over there, you wont find parking here easily and would stuck in traffic as well.
