Very bad service and hospitality. They would always disturb you at any time even if you say dont disturb on the door I had business meetings so some days i couldnt do housekeeping as I needed my room to do them on teams I put do not disturb and they were calling me every 5 minutes even if I told them I was in a business meeting.The prices for food and drinks are very high for the service and what you have in your plate and it was disgusting. This hotel isnt clean at all, I saw 2 cockroach. people leaving their food on the floor when they are done, which is disgusting because no one pick them up.i wont be returning in this hotel ever again.When youll find them nice and good service please comment here.

The best 5* experience so far. The Staff is so helpful, nice and professional! They had room prepared for us already at 7am even though we didnt pay extra for early check in. The sports bar has every game you want to watch, happy hours is a bonus :)Breakfast is quite expensive but i had all the salmon i wanted!! :))The location is great, we went on foot to shopping mall, beach and so on. The cost of the taxi is so low that theres no problem traveling in all Abu Dhabi.Than you all for making our short holidays so wonderful!

My over all experience at this hotel was good. Hotel is strategic located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, the Cornice is not too far, the Marina mall is a 15 min ride, the Cornice hospital is right behind the hotel and bunch of restaurants surrounding the hotel. The average price for a standard room is fairly competitive considering it’s a five-star hotel. Service was good and prompt.There are where few hygiene issues that I was surprised to see. There was hair on the bed and the jet spray was fairly gross. Other than that, the place was clean. I had initially booked a standard room. The room had the hygiene issues as mentioned earlier. After complaining, the hotel upgraded me to a suit, unfortunately it had the same issue. However, there were very prompt to clean the bed sheets and the jet spray.Just as an FYI to the readers, these rooms are primarily meant for couples only and the reason I say that is because, everything is open, and I mean everything including standing shower and bathtub. Washrooms is just a glass wall with a glass door, similar to a standing shower, no locks and minimal privacy. The beautiful natural sound you make in the washroom can be easily heard within the room.As mentioned earlier, overall experience was good except for minor hygiene issues.

Really nice hotel, stayed for three nights and the staff is so helpful. All the time. Breakfast is totally worth it but dinner not really, it was not terrible but the flavor was lacking in every dish. A shame because everything else was really good

We have stayed at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi a couple of times already and its always been very pleasant. We stayed at the Executive room which was huge and lovely. I want to commend the excellent services of the reception team, especially Paula and Shaira as well as the bellboy Sreekanth. They definitely provided excellent guest experience. We will definitely be back.

Room: One f the best in town. Clean and well made.Staff: Polite and helpful.Check-in was quick. Their Hospitality deserves special mention🤩.Parking: 4 floors of basement parking. Lifts are available in each parking floor which can be used to access from parking to reception only. Its not my first time in this hotel, the rooms are comfy, wide and relaxing, and most importantly, very good value for money. But the breakfast is not good. The food is salty and some sandwiches are tasteless (the pink slider). I like the fresh pastries, and the Americano, a bit the omelet, but the rest has a less than average taste. If you change the chefs, the hotel will be 10 times better.

Spacious, modern and clean. There was no coffee in my room, but thats minor. Parking was a bit crowded.

I like the size and ambiance of the room! Cozy and Relaxing, pool area view! Just sad that the pool was not available due to the pandemic restrictions.The breakfast was really nice although there could have been more variety given the price which is almost AED100 which is not cheap. So, I expected a lot, plus the potato was really salty and I had to leave it as I cannot eat it at all. Then, I specially mentioned all the requests on my booking then I was asked again at the reception (probably for confirmation) but still was not given the request which is 1 bed, I was still given 2 beds in 1 room(Divya). Regarding the parking, I had to park outside and pay because I need to check in and secure a card from the reception first to go inside the hotel parking which I dont think convenient at all.

Very clean and tidy, good ambiance and excellent staff, courteous and friendly. I tried buffet at kaharman, the staff was super friendly and helpful, but the quality of food was not that good.

Customer satisfaction is not in thier list.. they care about thimself and the money more than the customer. Im very upset.

Staff were friendly and welcoming.Losing 2 star because bed cover was causing itchiness and discomfort. The switches next to bed were surrounded by dust (need to be brush cleaned) .Room dust bin was covered and didnt have plastic bag in it.Had to keep the restrooms dust bin in room for convenience.Air freshener should be applied between every room clean-up.

Didnt go in, but you need to take full trip around the building to go to the entrance, entrance too small and dark. The only thing I liked was the petrol pump near the hotel u can use the ATM and grab and go snacks

Had a pleasant stay at Southern sun Abudhabi for a week . What I liked the most is their luxurious rooms with carpet which resembles to the arab style and the lovely bath room with a cool bath tub although their shower handle was broken.The Air conditioner was cooling all time and had a nice fragrance in room . The bed was very comfy to sleep in but there wasnt much view from room since there was no curtain and windows were closed with transparent screen .The pool is quite big unlike other hotels and also the gym and the bar facilities . The only problem i encountered was the wifi and the range . It gets stuck sometimesThe most important thing to say is that they do have underground basement parking unlike other hotels where we have to park and walk under sun . This was the major reason I booked Southern Sun . The hotel is situated in the centre so there are couple of supermarkets and restaurants nearby . Another thing to add is the room service staffs coming for bed making . They are quick and fast cleaning and I was 💯 satisfied in that . Also they were very polite and respectful too .

Worst at dealing with customer, especially when comes to checking out of hotel, they only think of money, they never think about making guest happy, mis understanding happens every time at check out time.

Id stayed here once. Thereafter I found myself in the city after a few months one late night without any place where I can go-to to get a printout done. After being refused by a five star place next to my home, I tried Southern Sun and the concierage Mr Abdul was kind enough to solve my problem with a smile and welcoming attitude. Thats when you know the establishment goes above n beyond to accommodate you even when not their guest.

I just arrived from the United States in a business trip. And when I arrived they did not agree sign me in. My booking was for 31 of July. I arrived 31st of July at 3:00am. They want me to wait to the morning before they give me the room which 4-6 hours more. I requested to talk to the manager, the manager come and told you are not allowed to go in unless you pay for full night for couple of hours. It’s so bad experience.

Nice and comfortable stay. Very friendly staff. It was one of my best stay cation with my family. Everything was super clean. No hassle in check in and check out. Specious rooms. Would definitely recommend to give it a try.

The rooms are good. Speedy room service. You can just call and ask for stuff or information that you need.A pool is available on the top floor overseeing the skyline in the visible range. The location is good. If you take a room on the west side, you can avail a view overlooking the Lulu Island.They did not have a buffet to prevent any complications during the pandemic. There are lots of desi and continental restaurants all around.

We arrived at around 1:25 am in reception.. the check in process is totally unprofessional.. Almost half of the day of the booking is already gone as it is almost 2:00 am already.. no flexibility at all, had spoken to Duty Manager Yacine when you are talking and asked for flexibility like same rate with free upgrade to one bedroom suite as the following day we will check out in the morning.. and half of the day is gone.. will only laugh like a child.. i believe he is not having a knowledge of sales and marketing.. a 1 day to offer a flexibility for a first timer guest of the hotel as to the booking wont be even a 24 hours at all.. had asked for at least breakfast nothing.. he shouldn’t be in the reception to handle guest concerns to be able to win the situation by at least meeting half way to gain the both side benefit and concernI would strongly suggest for flexibility as to the current market situation is concernSecond, when you be calling for Operator 20 rings would be lucky enough to have someone to answer your required service.Hotel itself is nice but the service is very very bad..No flexibility at all..

Excellent. Stayed for 2 months in one of the mini apartment type rooms, including 2 weeks full quarantine. Far exceeded expectations.

Spacious rooms.. soothing interiors... View is not so great as the sea is mostly covered by adjacent buildings which are equally tall.. rooftop restaurant is great.

Foundry steakhouse in southern sun, on a week day was less crowded. Steak was yummy, so is the dessert. Good service.

If you are a very private person, you might have a problem with the bathroom set.up because you can be seen inside...🙈 But Im fine with my body so I didnt mind. My partner and I had a terrible experience on Christmas Eve of clear discrimination against her appearance and presentation as a young woman. We were denied a legitimate pre-booked stay behind a thin veil of vague legislative excuses, despite an official national decree validating her extended residency. Dismissive, condescending, and unsympathetic staff and management left an awful taste and soured the entire evening. A painful disgrace to a country that prides itself on tolerance, I would recommend avoiding stays at all costs unless you present wealthy and wear your very best suit.

A very nice hotel, location is very good for tourist cos its next to taxi stand, the room is as it is on the website and my pictures. Very neat and very clean.This is a 4star hotel and the rate is very 4 star too but the service is very 2star, they really need to work on that partThe room I had doesnt have a view so if you are keen on places with view then sorry...I think I will visit them again for sure to see if they have improved and next time I can tell you about their breakfast...

We went yesterday to have Brunch in The Foundry and we were assisted by Michelle and she gives a wonderful and awesome great service during our stay, food are so delicious and fantastic. It was such an unforgettable experience way of relaxing and unwinding in such a nice place. Staffs are very friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful business hotel. Few minutes taxi drive to shopping malls and other popular attractions. Good value for money. Booked the 1-bedroom apartment. Large, cozy room. Big bathroom and walk-in shower. Kitchenette and washing machine available - really helpful when you travel with kids. Fantastic breakfast - so many tasty options. Marvelous interior design. Happy, professional staff - always did their best to meet our requests.

This hotels lobby r reception is like the one of a 5-star hotel. But there is a smoking smell all over the hotel and most of it rooms as it is considered a business hotel. So, I wont recommend it to decent families. The food is good for a 4-star hotel. The room service is also quick to respond. The staff are extremely friendly and tolerable.

Staff are friendly but the hotel is dirty, most rooms and lifts smell of cigarettes, half of the amenities in the rooms don’t even work properly, lights in my room keep flickering and that’s after I changed rooms twice, breakfast is below par everything is pre-made and left out to become stale. Like I said, cannot fault the staff but the hotel and the way it’s run is not what I would expect.

Just spent two nights at the Southern Sun Abu Dhabi. I chose the hotel on the basis of Trip Advisor recommendations and was not disappointed. The hotel is classy - not flashy. Service was great, pool deck lovely and breakfast excellent. Very happy. A relaxing spot with a variety of food and drink choices , our waiter Cliff provide us great service and food recommendations , the manager is very friendly and makes sure that you are enjoying your time in the place. Overall a great experience

2 stars only because of lack of empathy I have booked the staycation option which allow you a late checkout ubtil 4 pm its great so on my last day i went out came back around 15 45 my key room did not work so i had to queue in the reception to get my key updated i went back to my room to sort out my things and reception called me in a rude way forcing me to checkout ...you must know how to communicate with guests especially on you last day of checkout but i have to admit that the hotel is Amazing i probably considering staying again, i also recommend to management to make the whole hotel smoking free.Thnak you

The AC is bad , the curtains are cheap that sunlight can pass by the room which made me wake up and struggle sleepings . tv quality is trash . I dont recommend coming to this hotel unless you save money .
