We stayed in Premium Executive Garden view rooms. Room layout one of the best with all elements included, with a private work table, private dress area, rooms are very spacious. Sunset views on the infinity pool made our evenings fantastic. Very good ambience, massive structures felt very spacious, good cleanliness and fragrant, good breakfast experience, individual care to the details. All our demands were heard and carefully met.

After living in Abu Dhabi for so many years, this is the worst staff I have ever experienced, shocking and outrageous.12th September I came for lunch at Shang Palace. I asked the concierge to open up the barrier for basement parking (as regular customer my husband always parked there to avoid the 40+ degree heat), but that day I was alone, after two concierges asking, the front office manager Nadi refused. I asked him why, out of my mind he YELLED at me, even BANG on my car window several times!Their basement parking always vacant, only two or three Toyota Pickup and some staff cars there. More than half of the space is vacant, why can’t you being accommodate to customers?Shangri-La was founded by Malaysian Chinese and the HQ is based at Hong Kong where I had my wedding ceremony 10years ago. I feel so sad this staff doesn’t know the hotel history and treats Chinese customer in such Unprofessional! Disrespectful! Racist! Discriminate! Snobby! manner. I was so much regret that I introduced friend to have lunch at Shangri-La that day.Regarding the lunch, F&B team always so welcoming, but this season dim sum menu is a let down. There have many Chinese Chef and waitresses left and the menu becomes more and more simpler. Not many choices of steam dim sum but plenty of deep fry, fry fish, fry chicken, fry wonton, fry spring rolls, this is not the concept of dim sum, it’s like Chinese take away, desserts also sad.What a day!I strongly suggest next door Fairmont, similar price, friendly front desk team, modern facilities, largest swimming pools and magnificent view direct facing grand mosque (no obstacles in between). The Most important is: FREE BASEMENT PARKING!!!!!!!!! No heat hassle at all! Park by yourself if you like to avoid the covid risk.For dim sum go Hakkasan at Emirates palace, same price with free basement parking (park by yourself if you like again)!

We stayed in a Execute garden Room and it was excellent. A beautiful view of the water and Grand Mosque. The room was very comfortable and an adequate size. We used room service on several occasions and it was accurate and timely. The staff were extremely helpful and professional.

There was an issue with the phone booking. I went to the hotel and the level of customer service I received made up for it. The staff were very friendly, the rooms are beautifully designed, the pools are cooled, the view was beautiful and the food was incredibly delicious.

Stayed in the residences, there is no better place in AD to stay. Location is great, beaches & pools are private and excellent. Staff are great to deal with, they make you feel at home and nothing is a hassle to them. I cant reccomend this place enough. 5* throughout. An absolute pleasure to call this place home for 4 years.

We only stayed overnight but it was a great stay. We enjoyed the pools, beach, and breakfast. Checking-in and out was easy. Restaurants on site were wonderful. The only thing we missed was the canal and boat surrounding the hotel as there was no water when we visited, it would have been nice to see that but otherwise, everything was great.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel with the family and everything was amazing. The property is nice and cozy with very comfortable room. We decided to stay in Abu Dhabi Shangri-La for two nights for work-related needs. Since there were few choices between Ananthara and other Mariott chain hotels, we chose Shangri-La for its reputation. We chose a deluxe room with the ongoing promo of a 50-hour summer celebration whereby you get 50% off on food and beverage during the stay. The room was an old structure, relatively tiny, the entertainment system such as television is vintage experience, and the carpet was dirty. There were stains in few places.The minibar was empty. There was no coffee espresso machine, and I had to request it thereby, they provided with one. There were no English breakfast tea bags or milk pods which are common standard in any five-star hotel today.When you arrive at the hotel restaurant for a meal or coffee, you have to pay immediately after the meal and there was no possibility to add up to the hotel bill to be paid at the check-out which was driving us mad. You usually go to the pool and ask for water or juice or have a meal which add to the bill and don’t carry wallets around to pay immediately.The hotel Resturant service was not excellent, and I had to keep repeating room package details and entitlements as the Restaurant staff seem not able to see the details by the room number.The buffet at the dinner was excellent, and there were many great foods such as Arabic, sushi, Asian, grilled fish, meat and a wide variety of fruits and sweets. It was very operational.However the 2nd day of stay for lunch, they took 1 hour to prepare a club sandwich and a pizza.But, in the pool area, the service is excellent.

The experience we had in Shangrila was indeed a unforgettable one. In terms of hospitality, we would rate them beyond perfect. Their staff served us with smiles. All are approachable and helpful. Also, Food is commendable! We like all the food they served. And most importantly, the hotel strictly implement health and safety protocols which made a us feel safer during our stay. We will definitely go back and recommend this to our friends.

The hotel is lovely but the view of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque has now been obscured by villas being built on the other side of the canal. the hotel is however great and the rooms are spacious. Staff are very friendly and the hotel is meticulously clean.The food however is too expensive. Nowadays people can order food from so many different restaurants from their phones yet hotels still live in this old world mentality. Make your food cheaper and more accessible to guests.

Too many issues happened during our 5 days stay for a 5 stars hotel...This is not what a client can expect when you book a 5 stars hotel with a rate night exceeding 200$ :- the dining room service forgot our order on the first night, so we only had half of our order and it was 11pm.- the SPA told us it was fully booked for the 5 days, we had to insist through the reception to finally have an availability.- the abra experience was a nightmare : each time we went to have a ride, it was closed or fully booked, during 4 days consecutively...- to finish, the picture of the hotel swimming pool on the website doesnt reflect the reality and the guard at the pool was unpleasant.We are used to have holidays/staycation in 5 stars hotels in UAE/worldwide and clearly im still asking myself how this hotel gets its 5 stars.Unfortunately, and to sum up, it was too expensive for a very frustrating experience.

Missing the stand thats amazing hotel really amazing room and good service for everything

They are the number 1 hotel in Abu dhabi. From day 1 to our last day, everything is perfect! Zhark from reception has been excellent! Adil assisted us from our arrival until we leave. Melvin also was very great driving the boat from Shang to traders! The facilities are extraordinary. The location is also near the grand mosque and have a great view too! Overall 10/10 in every aspect available.

The hotel facilities (hotel room, common areas, pool, beach, Sofra Dining) were clean, well kept, and ambiance was very relaxing.We had two days breakfast and dinner at the Sofra and we had a blast. The food taste was excellent . There were varieties of food choices, and different themes. Food presentation was great, inviting guests to taste and have a wonderful meal.The staff at Shangrila were professionals, very friendly, hospitable and wonderful people. Special mention to Amr at Sofra and to the filipino Abra boat guide who were funny and had good coversations with my son.There was a minor issue regarding billing after our check out, but it was handled professionaly by Shang ri la team. Thank you and credit to them for a good job.We had a very relaxing and memorable stay and looking forward to another staycation in the near future. Definitely will be back.

Felt like me and my husband traveled in Venice,Italy. The whole place is stunning.The room with balcony overlooking the sea was so relaxing.The staffs are the most hospitable people out of all the hotels weve been.The abra experience was so unique.I thought were gonna pay extra money for that but if you check in they will give it as a complimentary, something that put Shangri-la to a whole new level. If we were ask which hotel we would like to come back it would definitely be Shangri-la Hotel Abu Dhabi

Thank you very much for the great service you provided me during my 10 day stay. Managers and all employees from all the hotels departments I had the chance to talk to were very nice and did great job making my stay nice and enjoyable.My recommendations:- Ask guests who are visiting for business and working from the hotel to schedule in advance a set time for house keeping, that way there is no disturbance during work phone or skype/zoom calls.- I put something on top of the safe and forgot about it and with time it slid and fell behind the safe. I thought I lost it and I never thought to look behind the safe for it...but thank God I did and found it. I am sure this may happened to someone else in the future...may be if possible to close the gap space between the back of the safe and the back of the drawer would be a good idea.Other than that Awesome stay!!Thank you!Adam

The Amazing staff are eager to serve . The hotel the min u entered u detach from your present & take you to classing era. The staff are elegant. So polite.Communication was easy with them pronto feedback & reply. Zen was at the reception when we checked in, Very helpful, Oksana was very informative & kind, Zhark was also very informative and welcoming,Jane was at the check out day and I felt am saying goodbye with heaviness . I go to a lot of hotel very few go for the extra mile. To make you wanna come again.Beach was clean and the sand feels like hugging you.Seaweed 5m inside the water from the Bach. But the sand was nice and cleanThere was leakage from the shower which was handled at the spot.The construction at the opposite side of the hotel was bad point too. As you can’t see Zayed Mosque like before.

The experience was memorable as the tub was extremely big and spacious and it could fit both of us really well. The terrace was also lovely. Nothing wrong can be said regarding the room. One of the two downsides was that the in-room dining was ridiculously expensive. I wanted to enjoy our bubble bath with a beverage, but around AED 60 for a cup of fresh juice is not justifiable. The other problem was the presence of a bug.The experience could also be enhanced if we had a discount for the spa as it was also too expensive.In a nutshell, which of the hotels, so far, has the best experience for every bucks? It would definitely be Shangri La.

The hotel stay was very pleasant and comfortable. The staff was very polite and helpful especially Ms. Isabel at the reception. She gave us a wonderful room. Thank you Mr. Ziyad for helping me when I lost one of my luggage.

The Friday brunch we had at Sofra was very good, but what made it even better was the warm welcoming of Sujeet, the exceptional service provided by young man Sultan...and chef Ibrahim amazed us with the kebab and steak plate he prepared for us...in fact it was so good and mouthwatering...and not to forget to mention the variety of sweets that pleases all

Customer service at the resort is one of the best I have encountered in Abu Dhabi. Staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. The breakfast buffet is excellent, as well. The selection and quality is, again, one of the best I have eaten in Abu Dhabi. The room and hotel have a certain charm and old world feel that is very opulent, yet inviting. Although the view of the Grand Mosque is no longer a main feature of the hotel (with all the buildings obstructing it), the hotels location is convenient to other areas of Abu Dhabi. Overall, the stay at the hotel was a wonderful one.

The service from the employees was beyond exceptional. Every encounter was professional, courteous, and helpful. Breakfast was very delicious, although there were less options than I was expecting. Regardless, everything I ate was very good and the service was excellent. Room was very clean, balcony was lovely. Beach is clean with a plentiful amount of sun loungers and umbrellas. Did not visit the pool but it looked nice. The view is obstructed by construction now so you can no longer see the sheik Zayed mosque. My only real issue was the room was very very cold in the evening with seemingly no way to heat it, even after calling maintenance. Overall a nice stay.

I enjoyed my stay with my sister nice staffs and good food

One week ago I came to the Shangri La in Abu Dhabi wiling to make my wife a surprise for our wedding anniversary and booked a room in the hotel. From the very first interaction with the hotel personnel everything and everyone seemed to be so helpful and happy to welcome me with an obvious luxurious touch. On the reception I’ve been assisted by Lubna who helped me with all the details in order to set the unforgettable surprise that I want and she was amazing. She took care of everything in such professional way. Believe me she is the right person to assist you especially if you wanna prepare a surprise. Once we checked in we were really impressed about the room and the service received and we relaxed (exactly want we wanted). One of the attractions of the hotel is the Abra (everyone should try this) which will take you for a beautiful boat ride crossing the entire resort. Here we met Rahem another amazing person who was our Abra driver for the night and he really made everything look and feelas a VIP treatment( he waited for us to go and take beautiful pictures on some spots suggested by him as well then he came back to pick us after diner, the pictures that he made for us during the trip in exact spots where he knew like a professional that the lighting and the view will create the perfect decor for a beautiful picture) He was just amazing!Thanks to this 2 personnel our vacation was indeed a 5 star one. We will come back and will for sure recommend the hotel to other people. Thank you to Shangri La team for offering us such beautiful memories.

My wife and I, decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at shangrila. The staff had taken good care of us during our 2 days stay there. The property is well maintained. We had used the chi spa too. The treatments were very relaxing. Overall we had a lovely stay.

The meal ws nt at all good.. U have variety of dishes but not worth eatng thats sad part.. Kabab r so smelling rather i would eat paneer gravy..if it was available. .nt worth the price

A lovely hotel with excellent service that begins the moment you check-in. The front desk reception team very professional and welcoming.My room had an amazing view of the beautiful mosque in the distance, the facilities were great - although the in room TV system felt a bit dated and lagged a lot when switching between (lo Def) channels.The breakfast was lovely, with a wide selection even during these times of Covid19.

Shangri-la has a luxury in every touch. The hotel is amazing, service is good, staff is nice, smiley and ready to help. Food is tasty and big territory, lots of places just to walk or sit and enjoy views.

The hotel and facilities were great, the people were very supportive, courteous and helpful. The cleaning staff were not very good and the honeymooners package was almost non-existent. The view from the room was very poor with lots of construction works. The breakfast was excellent and the bathrooms were extremely elegant and clean.

Loved the view from the room. Very spacious suite. The lobby bar has a great singer playing Tuesdays and Thursdays. Chill music but the singer is talented. The staff are efficient and friendly!

One of the best value properties in AUH.Exceptional staffs, clean and nice room facing Zayed Grand Mosque, comfortable bed. Everything was perfect.Appreciation to Ms Donnabel, Gazel, Danilo, Sujith, Jemuel, Moriz, Durga, Mr Leo, Serlou,and to the gentleman -the captain of the boat ride last 18th May 2021 at around 1030H. Amazing resort, very clean, luxurious facilities and friendly staff. Throughout a great experience.

The whole resort is beautiful but nothing beats the view through the balcony doors. The room itself was incredible - particularly the bathroom. Breakfast food was delicious - even good for a vegan like myself. We tried the vietnamese restaurant on site for dinner which was lovely, and we also went the short abra ride to the souq next door for dinner another night. I would love to go back for another visit.

It was fantastic experience. Really loved. Children enjoyed lot.I have suggestion. Kindly note that 4nos of 0.5 litre Arwa water is not sufficient to a family. At least 2-3 bottle of 1.5 liters to be provided. And wondered that the restaurant is charging for water as well.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Worthy of a 5 star rating.

First time at Shangri-La, and we fell in love with the place. Special gratitude for the birthday cake.Thanks to Ms Zhack and the team for making our stay most memorable. We would love to visit again in future.
