Delicious and innovative food, nicely prepared and freshly made.The experience at Folly was really nice. The food was tasty from the beginning to the end, while every dish had its own explanation and inspiration.The selection of wine is great as well and can be paired quite nicely with the dishes.All in all, I can really recommend the place as it’s made with thoughts to the detail.Definitely worth a visit.

We went for Saturday brunch and it was really fantastic. Super super nice staff, a fantastic food selection and a very nice atmosphere. We definitely would go again, and I would recommend this place to any who wants to have some sun with a great view, great food, good drinks and nice staff who doesn’t kick you out if you are enjoying yourself and are staying longer than planned.

Good place but a bit expensive.I was a bit disappointed with my starter (veal foie gras with too much Mayo for some reasons).But I was very pleased with the main (lamb was amazing) and the dessert (Lemon meringue).The white wine was ok (chardonnay) and the red was very good (Malbec).Overall good meal well deserved 4 stars.

Had a simply wonderful dinner here on Friday night. The hens egg was amazing followed by Nick’s special venison wellington which was divine. The service was exceptional and the Folly has a great ambience with everyone clearly enjoying the food. Considering our meal at Rock fish the week before which was decidedly average at extortionate prices, this was a stunning meal, very keenly priced with superb service. Cannot recommend highly enough and encourage everyone to go and enjoy a memorable experience.

Dinner here very interesting, and I wish the menu had pictures to go with it as I didn’t recognize a lot of the dishes on it. At the time of our visit there was no option for a la carte, you could only choose between 2 different packages. We choose the smaller one which was 250 per person, and overall the meal was very good and dessert was even better. Everything, including the drinks were aesthetically pleasing and overall we had a good experience.

First night out in Dubai, this is a really lovely way to ease in. Lovely views, relaxing, wonderful service and the food is so deliciou. We had the tasting menu and by the end I wanted to lie on the floor and unbutton my jeans. The music is on point. I do not understand any if the negative reviews, nothing but top marks on everything.

Hardly one finds better place to overview Madinat Jumeirah and Burj-Al-Arab, esp. in the afternoon. Very cosy place to have a drink with friends. Recommended!!

Very slow service and the food is not worth the wait. The asparagus was plain, the halibut was overcooked and dry. Lobster dumplings were ok but I’d expect them to be gentler.

Great presentation, nice hello from the chef. Felt really welcoming and quality vibes, they also rotate the menu or a semi regular basis.Plenty of reasons here for a dabble. If you go make sure to walk to the roof for a photo of the Burj Al Arab.

Folly is what dining out is perfect for, the food is special, beautifully presented and delicious. The wine is carefully curated and odd at times but always good! Cocktails are classy and delicious. Service is friendly and professional. Oh and Folly also has some of the best views in the world. Cant fault it.

We tried a couple of fine dining restaurants in Dubai but this was definitely the best! The signature menue and the wine pairing were delicious and the service was the most attentive and nice we had during our whole stay. They could speak to the food and the wines and after dinner took us to the amazing roof terrace. I would always go there again.

Went for dinner with quite high expectations. Unfortunately not a good experience. Starters and mains were so over oiled that there was no taste at all. Service was nice but food literally not even 2*. Not coming back.

Incredible restaurant. Took advantage of the Dubai food week deal which meant we had the 5 course signature menu for 250 aed each. This was a bargain! Full vegetarian menu as well. Easily the best food we have had in Dubai with excellent service. Looking forward to my next visit.

Went for happy hour on Wednesday night and really enjoyed it. The cocktails are fabulous, especially considering it’s a happy hour. We ended spending hours here enjoying the drinks and view. Staff were also on point and very attentive.

Great dinner experience at folly. Not at all like folly in London but equally good in a different way. Staff had great knowledge of the menu and produce and recommended a good range of dishes for us to share. The crab was delicious and they also had a good selection of gluten free including gluten free bread which soooo many restaurants in Dubai still don’t offer!! Would definitely go back

Tasty treats, TINY portions, poor waiter service, unmemorable decor and ambience, nice location ...all in all, overpriced in terms of value for money - unlikely to visit a second time.Visited this place with 4 friends last weekend. Booking a table ahead of time was no issue and we got a seat on the outdoor terrace which was lovely.Our server , mid-late 20s came over to explain the menu. Its not the most self explanatory menu so I got why he came over but he told us it looked complicated but was actually pretty simple and over the course of the night we actually felt he was quite arrogant and talked down to us saying that this restaurant was about artistic food and not portion size . Coupled with the fact that his accent was very hard to discern and really only 2 of us sorta understood what he was saying, it made for an unpleasant experience.We were also sat next to the supervisor booth where the waiters were being sweared at/cussed out for not topping up the glasses. That was quite unpleasant to have to listen to.Then came the food... we ordered 4 appetizers for the 5 of us to nibble at and while these looked gorgeous they were tiny and really a nibble! We then ordered the main course , where we asked for the items with the larger portions given our experience with the appetizers and he scolded us saying this restaurant was about presentation and taste and not meant to be filling...and he informed us that all meats were 100g only in order to set expectations. Again , food looked and tasted fine but barely larger than the appetizers.Given the price of the food , in average over DHS 125 for a main, one would expect that we would at least be satiated but no luck there. We even ordered dessert but again our esteemed server explained the concept of the raspberry cheesecake for about 3 minutes before disappearing never to be seen again ( another waiter showed up to continue our service with no handover or explanation)With an avg spend of DHS 280 a person x 5 plus alcohol ( we bought a few bottles of prosecco for a few hundred more each) ... we left the restaurant hungry and In spite of the good tasting tiny treats , with a bitter taste in our mouth primarily due to the terrible service.With all the choice of restaurants in Dubai, its highly unlikely we will visit Folly again.

A nice experience to enjoy a great meal with amazing views in Madinet Jumeirah. The food is really full of flavor, which unfortunately comes in small portions. Maybe next time it’s best to recommend the full tasting menu!The service is good and very attentive! I take one star out since our booking was not honored from the start to be seated at the Garden Terrace, where the host insisted we couldn’t have made such a booking as it was fully booked. Not true since you can book directly the Garden Terrace!!! That was disappointing as many tables were not occupied and as I had outside guests, it wasn’t a nice welcome to Dubai. Let’s hope in the future our booking is honored from the start.

The BEST experience in Dubai - Period!

Lovely experience. Very different menu card from what I expected. Mains were quite small, but really a different food experience.A mini Noma (crazy fancy Danish Michelin restaurant) experience as my friend concluded.Great views (we sat outside) and really friendly and attentive staff.A large water was 30 aed which is a total ripoff. Id rather pay more for the food and not feel cheated to pay so much for water (x20 the price of a supermarket)Used Entertainer from Fine Dining so the total bill was made reasonable ;)

To certain places you go for the food - to others for many other reasons. And, honestly speaking, Folly is great for many reasons, for the food maybe not so much. Usually, I wouldnt be so critical - but with these price tags (individual menu items come at AED 65, 85 and 125, the tasting menu at AED 325), you would expect something out of this world... Basically, its the perfect venue for a romantic evening: Great atmosphere, wonderful staff, the Madinat view, skillful presentation of the food and a sommelier who has an impeccable list to choose from - and is happy to be vocal about his personal taste. But the food itself tastes (and I almost feel guilty to say that): bland. My personal favorite was the turnip (who would have thought?!) - and I fondly remembered the quail from the last time. However, for some funny reason, Folly changes the menu regularly - and the latest version of the little bird just doesnt hit the mark. My parter in crime really liked the monk fish cheeks... I wasnt impressed, found them rather chewy and a bit on the salty side - while the self-made feta could have used some extra je-ne-sais-quoi. Anyway.... Overall, its still a wonderful place. And you definitely have to just sit and relax and enjoy the atmosphere!

Great spot to catch sunset in Dubai. Easy to find, staff are welcoming but need some encouragement to come and serve. Food is tasty and well thought through and put together. But portion sizes could be increased a little. Will be coming back for sure.

Overall it was nice but I confess that I was disappointed. I found the menu overpriced and the portions definitely too small. Nothing really surprised me and from my point of view there are better options in Dubai at a better price.

Cute little place for drinks and a great view

We decided to try Folly however once we got there and talked to the waiter we decided not to eat. People have to understand that this place is elegant dining with very high prices. The food layout looks elegant and probably tastes delicious but we were told very clearly that you need two appetizers and one main to be happy. That would have been about 240dhms on food not to be filled up. Probably not the best place for vegetarians as the choices are VERY limited and well overpriced. I small slice of halloumi and two bits are of bread for 65dhms. Service was perfect when we were there. The other thing I want to point out is the Folly picture on here with Burj Al Arab views is fake. You can only see the Burj if you climb to the top of two staircases. You cannot see when eating. They have photoshopped to make it looked better than it is. View was beautiful though from table but no Burj. We left because we are not elegant diners and went to another restaurant in the Madinat for under half the price and had lunch the next day. Just want people to understand the expectations. Probably 4 star if I was happy to pay the price and not be full :)

If youre after a tummy-filling and great substance for your buck, KFC might be up your street. If you want high-end pub grub and go home very satisfied, the Belgian Beer Café would be a given one on your list. But if youre after an extraordinary culinary experience, with food produced and delivered in the top-end school, and with a finesse and knowledge in flavour combinations skill fully paired with wines doing the food the best of justice, Folly by Nick & Scott is the one not to miss! Having just had the great pleasure of sampling what these hard working people, Marina and her staff, produced on our table, Lianesh our waiter for the evening with great knowledge in all from the food to the wine served and the very pleasant ambiance of the restaurant and roof-top terrace for pre-dinner cocktails, I cannot recommend this oasis for food lovers enough. Not the cheapest but definitely the best restaurant I have had the pleasure of visiting in my 8 years in Dubai! Not just a bit of dinner, but a symphony for the taste buds, composed by the Mozart and Beetoven of food...

Saturday brunch is great!

Its a restaurant that seems to try too hard with their menu. If you are hungry and wanted a really good full meal, it will disappoint. In saying that, the food is OK if you like experimental, trying to be fancy, good looking food. Portions are small. We also had a waiter that was unpleasant . He kept saying that they have a table with 15 guests and if we dont order soon, our food might only come in 15-20mins. We said its OK. Saying it once, you brush it off but saying it more than that and it becomes annoying. The place is not even half full.

One of the better restaurants in Dubai. Professional and extremely polite staff, food - above expectation, ambience - relaxed and beautiful. The views from the outdoor part of the restaurant were all lovely (Burj Al Arab on one of the sides and Madinat Jumeirah on the other side). A great place to have quality time with family or friends. We didnt dine here but came for drinks, bar food and the view. None of these disappointed, we were there in time to catch the sunset which we could clearly view from where we were sitting. Only criticism is that there beer selection is extremely limited. This is a spectacular place to dine, with great food and good cocktails.

Folly by Nick & Scott is my Go to place when I don’t have any other ideas. I know that I will always get good service and good food. Obviously best time to come just before the sunset and have few sundowners upstairs and enjoy beautiful view. Service is very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Food is delicious, comes in small portions so don’t be afraid to order more starters if you are very hungry. My favorite part was Devon crab with dry sea weed. If you are a meat lover definitely go for guinea fowl you rarely see restaurants serving them. Lovely atmosphere and food.

The outdoor terrace has a fantastic view of the surrounding skylines, Jumeirah and access the way is Palm Jumeirah.We had the guiniefoul sausage and the lamb kafta which were very good. The house fries were well seasoned and a great nibble to have.All in all great service and friendly service.
