Had a good experience there dining as a couple last Saturday with BBQ seafood night. The evening temperature was still good to enjoy before the close of the season and start of Ramadan. The seafood menu could be better with crayfish and oyster as in Pergola which had more choice. However, dining on the grass terrace was more fun. Overall service was good and attentive. Senthil? made it very accommodating with any issues. Will look forward to start of autumn season from October.

The food in general was good and the staff were ok except the unprofessional Egyptian waiter called Ramy who was extremely rude with us. More than 3 times we ask or request something from him and he doesnt do and shows zero respect whereas there was 3 tables next to us he was stood by all the time asking them if they need anything (seems as his relatives or friends or maybe from the same place). In addition when we request anything from his colleagues he will stop them and open a chat with them as if there is a revenge with us that we dont know. Such attitude is not allowed at public place he is there to serve everyone equally. Hope the management will take the required action otherwise I am sure you will loose many clients.

Absolutely awful. The seafood has clearly been defrosted and refrozen it didn’t taste fresh. I went with my parents a friend. My mum and friend ate the crab and prawns and both of them spent the whole night and today vomiting and on the loo. She is so sick and has thrown up over 20 times and used the toilet ahout 30 times. STAY AWAY AND DO NOT Go. I called them and the lady didn’t even seem bothered.

The staff let us in, showed us their open buffet, 198 per person, and then after we sat they told us the buffet will close in 20 minutes.... ended uo eat quickly while they noisily packed their food... horrible service, zero ambience, mediocre food.Taverna has a horrible hygiene problem... as you come close to the bathroom doors, theunmistakable smell of an open sewer smacks you in the face and you lose the horrible lunch you just had.

When you’re feeling, Dubai’s #foodscene isn’t anything new anymore, there comes along a restaurant, that excites your foodie senses & ignites your desire to try something new, cause the Chef is passionate about his cooking, that reflects on the minor detailing that he’s given to each of his dish.Taverna Greek Kitchen, located in Souk Madinat Jumeirah, previously occupied by Left Ba. a new Greek restaurant that has a massive Wood fired grill, and the place has a 100 seater occupancy & outdoor seating that has Burj Al Arab views, has the warmth of a old grandma’s home.‘This place has a major seafood menu & sources it’s fish locally and offers a some imports too. So whatever comes to the table is fresh and you’d have it grilled and not any other way.Now we had a tasting of the cold plates, which were like all other things on the menu a sharing concept. We recommend trying the Taramosalata, it could be the next best thing to Hummus or even better. The Tzatziki & beetroot Salad were brilliant. Now from the salad we had Santorinia the capers and tomatoes is always a good idea .I would highly recommend trying the wood fired grill octopus, it was grilled to perfections & the salad underneath it had Fava beans. For the mains we had the Catch of the Day which was Sea Bass grilled and buttered to perfection. Also tried the Calamari, I’ve never had it whole served like this in Dubai, it’s more common in the Mediterranean islands which I was delighted to see and eat. They do also offer traditional Greek dishes, like Mousaka & offcourse theres a Lamb Shoulder & some steaks too.Keep room for desserts cause you’ve to have the pavlova, they do it with yogurt and fresh fruits & the orange pie is served with some chocolate.Overall a very pleasant dining experience & with Greek restaurants, opening up around Dubai, it could be an upcoming trend but the warmth and hospitality of this place is unmatched and will surely keep you coming back for more

Horrendous hygiene. This restaurant is located at Dubai Marine beach resort and spa. All 4 of us in the family got sick within just an hour of eating the food at the seafood night buffet at Taverna. Place smelled like rotten fish. We had a bad feeling and it turned real when we all got sick! Not recommended at all...

Very poor service! Had to on numerous occasions ask for a refill of refreshments. Poor hygiene standards as seen food dropped on the floor, picked up and sent to tables. Food handling workers not wearing gloves when in direct contact with food. Yuk
