Top quality Indian food. Went with my colleagues, a beautiful spot to have a lovely time and the set up is lovely, dont understand the theme but I like the vibe. Staff are on the look out. They pay close attention to every single person, food and drinks were flowing in and my were they tasty. One of the best dals I have had. Biryani was mind blowing. Lovely cocktails. They walked around with trolleys of good stuff keeping the atmosphere fun filled. Then after it all, they came with this dessert.. Chocolate, ice cream nuts mixed with other lovely stuff. It was an evening to remember. I am definitely going back there and I so recommend. If you love quality, class and Indian food. What are you waiting for?

One of the best brunch places i have been to. The food is amazing and the hospitality by staff is good. There are too many options and make sure you keep your stomach empty before you step in. The chef impresses us with a lot of varieties and the desert is also very good and the best way to finish your meal. The ambience is also good but i would suggest the restaurant to improvise on the seating arrangement outside. Its recommended to reserve the table before hand to avoid any wait time.

Coming from some one who really cant afford this place, but it was my birthday and my wife really insisted that she wanted to visit this place due to the hype and considering you get it as the number 1 Indian restaurant in Dubai when you Google it (on timeout)We had :1) chefs tasting menu(non-veg) x22) yellow tail (drink)3) still waterThe Initial items which came from the tasting menu:Raj kachori (4/5)Grilled prawn (4/5)Basil chicken tikka (4/5)Lamb galouti (3/5)Sorbet (5/5)Nihari chop(1/5) this was cold and tasted not that great, chicken tikka masala (2/5) was ok nothing greatGajak (2/5) sickeningly sweet they did a nice birthday wish and they put it on your table but its not that greatI vommited as soon as we left the restaurant, I dont want to blame the restaurant on this but I would say maybe it was because of the dessert, my wife said she felt the same and also wanted to vomit. we walked for 10 minutes and I just kept vommiting. Just thought to mention thisFor anyone who wants to go there for the hype I would suggest dont as it is really expensive( our bill was AED 789) and not really worth the money also they add like 20% fees to your total bill as well

This used to be a well-liked place for me until today when I had the worst experience in a restaurant, perhaps ever. Especially from one that claims to be of a certain standard. First the hostess asked us to not sit in the main dining area and made some excuses about allocations, reservations etc. Just so you know, we had a reservation so that was absolutely baseless. We were made to sit in a dark corner of the restaurant, next to the service area where (a lot of!) staff was moving tables and chairs around and sweeping floors for the entire duration of our meal! And we were the only party there. It took all my willpower to not just up and leave. I’ll also tell you exactly why we got this treatment – because we were visiting with kids! Kids are not welcome in this restaurant.Another thing, if someone upsets me in this manner, I DO NOT care what their food tastes like (which was pretty average, by the way). There are many places out there that serve good food with great service, thank you. Never experienced anything of this sort in Dubai before. The restaurant lost some very loyal customers today. Definitely NOT going back!

A modern take to Indian food. The Friday Brunch is good with a set menu from starters entrees and 1 magical dessert. They take you through the entire menu so you dont have to bother about figuring out what to order. The food comes in bite size portions and the staff explain the dish and its ingredients so the service is good and quick. There are so many courses that you want to stop but are still craving for more. A good selection of happy hour drinks and the ambience is good tool. The menu is dynamic and changes frequently but so you will taste something different every time. Truly a carnival of food as the name suggests.

We went here for the business lunch. It was good food and appropriately proportioned. We were seated quickly and our server was knowledgeable and prompt. We had the non-veg set and was pleasantly surprised. Usually when eating Indian food, my eyes get big and I stuff myself. Here they portion out the food to the size of the table and you leave feeling satisfied but youre not rolling out of the restaurant. Would recommend for someone who has an Indian craving with great flavor that is too spicy (I personally love spicy food but I know the general population like things more well balanced). They pace out the timing of the food and even have a guava sorbet as a palate cleanser in between starters and mains. Overall a good spot!

They have indoor and outdoor options but you need to make prior reservation as it is always busy. They offer set menu both veg and non veg. Besides that they have the ala carte menu but i would suggest to go for the set menu. We were amazed at the taste and presentation of every single course that came out. Fusion food with a twist, traditional and playful with great flavors. The set menu plays out like a carnival with each act/dish as delightful and well executed as the other. The dessert was like a cherry on cake.. Tableside food theatrics, lively music and great service overall but highly priced. Carnival is definitely an experience worth a try!! 🤩

Our first visit to @carnivalbytresind and hopefully not our last. The first Indian tasting menu that has succeeded at the curries. Key highlights were the caramel prawns. I don’t think I will ever taste prawns as delicious ever again. Also, chicken tikka and crispy noodles were a close second. The only let downs really were the naan and poppadoms which I can totally live with 😂The dessert show at the end was the icing on the cake for an awesome evening. I never understood the meaning of post modern Indian cuisine. And after shelling out nearly AED 300 per person, I still dont get it. This was our first dining experience together at a table of 6.Lets begin with the areas that need improvement:- I sent the tiger prawns back as it was covered by a very consistent and very shiny pool of oil. Please dont serve something like that especially if you are charging AED 130 for it. They were happy to comply and remake it, however that was unexpected and already set the stage for everything else.- When we asked for side plates, the staff literally threw them haphazardly at my position rather than individually placing them out. Sorry, its a minor detail, but I expect impeccable service. Its not a food court.- we simply did not like the modern Chaat. Here at carnival this was a far cry from the freshness that you find at the original Trescind (we have been there several times)- the kallapam is basically a small undercooked uttapam. We clarified before ordering if this is like an appam and we were told yes. However it wasnt. It was undercooked where the wetness of the rice batter made it unpalatable- the biriyani clearly missed the punch associated with any biriyani. Lets not compare it to Gazebo or Sindh Punjab but compared to Brasserie or Rang Mahal, this was again, something not completely well-executed in my opinion.Perhaps this is what post-modern means? Now lets cover the highlights:- the ambiance, setting and overall decor of the place is fabulous. We were admiring the entire place for the first half hour from entry to table.- the selection of beverages is quite interesting especially if you want to try something new.- the jellebi and Rabri dessert was absolutely fantastic. Crispy and delightful while being rich and sugar-tastic at the same time. We still talk about it a week after. Your pancreas will scream bloody murder after this but trust me: incredible and worth it.Overall, our expectations were so high given the premium positioning of this establishment that we were disappointed at the generosity of oil used across the menu and the lacklustre flavour in some of the items.I always say to my friends that any Indian restaurant can be measured by their butter chicken. For example, Amal at the Armani hotel adds overpowering cinnamon in theirs, The Bombay adds too much tomato in theirs. Unfortunately I was alone at the table for butter chicken so I did not order it. A possible regret on my part and a potential reason to return. After a final bill of ~AED 1600 we all left in dual minds: happy that our sugar cravings were satisfied with a massive wallop of perfection, but a general opinion that we might not go back -- not even for the butter chicken.

We went for an anniversary dinner yesterday and the food was below par. For the dishes there is that same standard base gravy for all dishes altered for veg and non veg like a small restaurant which didnt have any distinction in flavours. We would have happily eaten the pumpkin bao which was the free starter that was by far the tastiest dish. If you go chef special the whole table has to follow that because of whatever and be warned there are high service charges. Ok for accommodation on allergy but poor wines and poor food taste.Advertised Presentation and flair was sorely lacking and a lack luster drumming for birthdays disrupts what turned out to be a disappointment for the prices they take. Very sad and not going back.

Their live chef’s had low level knowledge about the dishes or were not even audible about what they are making. None of the special requests while making the booking were even considered. They only want to sell their set menu which isn’t worth at all. You’ll only be offered the set menu and have to ask for the other menu. Felt more of a restaurant that wants your money and offer no experience or even nice tasting dishes.I expected tasty Indian food for the price. However only kofta curry is good and felt authentic. Rest all dishes in the set chef tasting menu are far away from what authentic Indian food tastes like.I would recommend only going for dishes from the a la carte and a big no to the chef tasting menu.Lastly felt ripped off in the end.

I have been here to try out all their season menus and have never been disappointed. Their Season 6 menu is called the Bookmark Menu which is inspired by books we used in schools and the dishes are created & presented according to that.First they served their Amuse- Bouche which was called Bao Bhaji. It was a bao bread stuffed with masala vegetables served under a magnifying glass. Then we were given our tickets to go to Dilli 6 which is their room for Delhi Street Food. In the chef tasting menu we were served Gol Gappe/Pani Puri. There were 3 pieces of Suji (Semolina) Gol Gappe in a earthen plate & each was filled with 3 different flavours of water i.e. Spicy, Tangy & Yoghurt.Next up was a dish called Tiger’s Milk which was a vegetarian ceviche with mosambi-yuzu dressing and topped with root vegetable chips/crisps. I liked a different take to ceviche which is mostly with raw fish. The dressing had a spicy-tangy kick to vegetables. Then they served Momo-Fuku which was a portion of steamed chicken momos served with red chilli chutney & charred cucumber salad which tasted divine together.Hot Sauce Nation was the next dish served which had south indian style cooked prawns called mezhukkupurattu which was spicy and was served with a homemade black pepper tabasco & papad. The prawns were well balanced and had a spicy after taste to it.They then served Meatilicious which was their plate of Lamb Chop which was cooked to perfection. It was plated so neatly with the lamb chop placed on mysore aloo masala and a dosa crisp with chutney around it.Next up was a beautifully plated samosa which was the most aesthetically pleasing I have ever had because for me a samosa is street food served in a paper plate with chutneys. But this plate was served with delicately presented chicken samosa with coconut based curry instead of a chutney , topped with some tamarind sauce, crisp, burnt green chilli and some red radish. We also tried their amazing mocktails with our starters . The first was called Yellow Tail which was tropical blens of mango and Passionfruit topped with sprite presented with dry ice.The second drink was their Season 6 menu speciality called Black Book which was lemonade with the carnival twist with vegetable charcoal in it.After the drinks and starters they served their palette cleanser which was a sorbet served on sticks in a flower vase with a mix of guava and passion fruit. For the mains , they served us 2 non veg dishes with the first one being Fish Tajine which was a south indian version with coconut based curry and sea bass fish.Next up was called Encyclopedia of Nilgiri which was chicken korma with green curry and aromatic spices and tasted perfect with rice bread which was served with it.There were 2 vegetarian main dishes and the first one was Five Shades Of Pumpkin which was a very intense dish revolving around pumpkin. It had pumpkin kofta served in seed sauce and garnished with flower pakoras.Last up was called Artichoke Masala which was the first dish I had with Artichoke prepared Indian style. The artichokes were stuffed and slow braised and the curry was tomato based lababdar Gravy and was my favorite out of all the mains. The other 2 drinks which were served with the mains were called Summer Special which was a blend of green apple and lychee & Berry Blast which was a mix of strawberry, raspberry, raspberry & cranberry juice with rosemary topped with ginger ale.Desserts were served after the mains and the first one was called Newton which was a carnival version of Shahi Tukda with caramelized green apple , milk khurchan and saffron ice cream. The other dessert was truffle which was a plate of phirni with pistachio moss made with liquid nitrogen & almond hazelnut truffle. Last but not the least, we were presented with their Modernist Paan Trolley. As beetel leaf is not allowed in the country, they printed the lead on edible rice paper with gulkand, custard cream, saunf & crackling sugar. The service was on point as usual and our server Faisal was taking care of us very well.

Looked forward to going here as my favourite indian is Tres Ind in Dubai (same group) but was just a bit disappointed - I will do a la carte one day but the standards of both restaurants have changed in my view - lost their cutting edge experimentation with indian cuisine

Ive been there twice and both times the place and the staff have exceeded my expectation! Love the food, presentation and waiting staff including the supervisors who really do go out of their way to make you feel at home, which also by the way is the theme of their restaurant. Reliving you childhood memories with the menu items, the little table centrepieces so on n so forth!

Love the concept and the presentation of all the food.It is really a very interesting experience to have. The food is a bit over priced for the portion you get.We tried a few appetizers including the lambchops. For sharing we had the italian job. We did order a dessert that they made on the table.I will be posting a video review on my YouTube channel soon. Link is in my bio or search for Sera Knows UAE

This place is very unique in terms of food and vibe. Its modern indian food and if you let the waiters help you choose the food you will not be dissapointed. We also tried some great fruit mocktails and for desert the chocolate sphere which was perfect if you love snickers taste. Will definately come back when i get the chance! Service was also excellent as i remember not being happy with my table and management allowed me to choose a much better table on my own.

One star less, as it is very costly and good for business corporate meetings. But really loved the place and environment. Loved the way they served the food. It makes your evening amazing. I was amused by vegetarian recipes and options available.

Our recent visit to Carnival by Tresind was to explore the Season 6 book menu along with little bit of the Iftar specials for the month of Ramadan. The season menu starts with a serve of quick bite of Bao Bhaji, presented using a magnifying glass, this classic Indian Pav bhaji, though tastes exactly the same but has its own fusionized flavors with its soft buttery Bao bread. With an extensive options for the drinks and each one appealing then the other, we tried out the Yellow tail which is shareable between two. Infused with flavors of passion fruit, lemon, mango and orange juice served theatrically in a skull with all the smoke. Another we tried was the bomb- even the name sounded quite inviting. This drink was surely a bomb, the way it was brought in a bomb and opened up to all smoke and had the very complimenting flavors of pineapple, vanilla, cardamom and cinnamon dust.Later chef came to our table with one of the best dishes from the menu and a must try- Into The Wild. The chef arrives on your table with a trolley full of rock salts and a Himalayan Salt Slab- Yes you heard us right, Himalayan Salt Slab to cook tenderloin and prawns. We only tried the tenderloins and they were succulent, perfectly cooked within two minutes span and flavors that will excite your palate. Served in a lettuce wrap with 4-5 different kinds of sauces and topping will be one of the healthiest meats you can eat. Then palate cleanser will be brought to your table in a pot of fresh flowers and in a stick will be guava, black pepper and passion fruit sorbet that will awaken all your taste buds, getting you ready for the upcoming delectable main course dishes. One by one in a book will come your classic Indian curries but with Tresind twist of presentations served in books with fusionized flavors. Encyclopedia of Nilgiri is a chicken curry made with strong essence of Nilgiri spice that is soothing, providing comfort flavors in every bite.5 shades of pumpkin is all about mastering the pumpkin to please the most demanding of tastebuds. Being someone, who never tries pumpkin and after being allured by the chef describing about all the ingredients in the dish, we tried and loved those pumpkin kofta dish, more then any other.Jungle book being our another favorite with its tantalizing flavors of kheema which was lovely to look at and even better to eat with those fresh crispy Pav. Packed with flavors, this dish is surely going to swoon you.For desserts, we would say that be prepared to be served with a literal piece of art. A white canvas being spread on your table, Chef Saumya will bring in a white chocolate sphere filled with goodness of 3 kinds of ice cream which include flavors of Lychee, Caramel & Peanut. Topped with luscious chocolate Rolce Royce brownies and caramelized peanuts. On the canvas, she will start creating art with dollops of peanut sauce, caramel sauce, chocolate gel. Spoonful of chocolate soil, chocolate pebbles and peanut crush. Later with nitrogen and all smoke you will be get an opportunity to drop the ball filled with chocolate sauce and all fillings to create an art. Its a death by chocolate desserts and its so good that you would want to skip dinner for it.Another from the book menu special is the lemon tart made with egg-less meringue, motichoor laddoo and custard. It is a harmonious marriage of decadent flavors with its little sweet and little tangy flavors and a flaky, buttery crust that crumbles just as you bite into it.Refresh your taste-buds in the end with the very very sweet Paan, brought to your table in a trolley by chef. Served in rice leaf with gulkand, Popping candies, Pistachio powder, sugar coated fennel seeds, cutard cream, caramel sauce and sea salt.
