Quite quick and freshly prepared with reasonable fast food prices in the Mall of Emirates food courtThe issue though is that the food is not authentic. Its tasty enough but it is over sweetened compared to the Japanese original flavour. Obviously to satisfy the demand of the local marketI wont go again as far too sweet, though the ramen was ok only - nothing special

I ordered three types of Bento and a poke bowl from Umami for 4 person. And we all definitely were impressed with the amount, the crispy tempura and the taste of all menus. Definitely a recommend.

Umami will be my best fast food Japanese restaurant here in Dubai and Salmon bento will be the top of my favorites but this time, I tried their Teriyaki Beef Bento and YES!!! I must say it tasted so good.There is Sushi, Tempura, Salad, Beef Teriyaki and Rice. Yum!

I ordered online through Careem and i received my food fast which is good. But, my food was upside down that the rice mixed with everything.Expectation gone, reality come in.My food is beef bento, but the beef is not that tender. The sauce they have for tempura is not for my taste. Maybe it is for others but absolutely not mine. Even the sushi sauce tastes different. The rice is not suitable i guess for bento. Or maybe because it is wet (in a sense that they put sauce in the rice) thats why it is not sticky. I love to use chopsticks, but with their rice, i need spoon otherwise i need to pick it one by one (u get what i mean?) I dont know, im not a chief but i love to eat so thats it.

Very disappointed at the branch here at Nakheel Mall The Palm. Ordered at 9PM and the staff said sorry we are closed, we have nothing left in the kitchen.Then why not just place a sign that you are sold out... or closed... or just close the lights of the display menu already so people do not fall in line onlybto be disappointed.

Really terrible , the ramen was oily and disaster , it feel like eating instant noodle on oily soup .... The sushi was not fresh and feel like frozen sushi being heated .... The worst part is chefs sushi which doesnt look so appetize and worts than nigiri sushi ......

Last month, at around 1.45pm, I walked right up to the cash counter of Umami stall in the food court at Mall of the Emirates in an EMPTY QUEUE and I was immediately served by a male staff. While I was placing my order with him, his colleague, a female pinoy staff named VANESSA deliberately jumped my queue rudely by shoving the male staff aside and replaced him at the cash counter just so that she could serve another customer who was to be served right after me. She was completely racist and I was ostracised by her even though I came first and I was already in the midst of placing my order. Instead of serving customers based on first come, first served basis, VANESSA had blatantly used different yardsticks and given preferential treatment to the other customer. The horrendously unfair treatment which I received from Umami is a far cry from the good service benchmarked against any other Japanese restaurant/food outlets, and it’s completely unacceptable for Umami to have brought upon great humiliation and undue duress to me as a customer, as VANESSA had clearly exhibited a strong bias against me. The extremely unpleasant experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. I’m dumbfounded about the whole incident which had made me suffer excruciating humiliation and embarrassment. At the end of the day, VANESSA’s unwarranted attitude is not a good reflection to Umami and the food and service industry!

I am pretty picky when it comes to Japanese food, it being my top favorite cuisine. Umami is by far the best I had even compared to more sit-down, expensive restaurants. Their Ramen has the best flavor. Their broth is really flavorful. The Poke Bowl is also a must-try and of course, the Unagi Don (my all time fave). Thinking about it now already makes me drool. :-p

Honestly not worth the money... oily, not tasty... most if the food remained untouched...

I like Umami Restaurants for their Ramen, comparing to Ibn Battuta this is is 4* , soup is not placed carefully, plate is wet. Taste? Good, not enough vegetables, looks poor.

Got a good deal recently at 50% off an no delivery charge so ordered my favorite shrimp tempura roll and also a grilled salmon on the side. Both of them tasted good and delivery was on time. Pricing is also affordable because of great discounts.

Ordered vegetarian curry. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement.The curry has 2 small pieces of potato, 3 tinier pieces of carrots, and 2 tiny pieces of bell pepper. The saddest vegetarian meal I ever had.If you are craving for a curry and you are a vegan. I suggest you go to Wagamama.

Im not a fan of ramen, but yesterday I think it became one of my favorites.My friend ordered the Cheese Ramen in Umami Restaurant and since I love cheese, I had a try and WHOOAAAH! Never thought it was soooooo good! SUPERB!

I place an order today but i feel disappointed. was waiting for too long but no order delivered. when i track the talabat system shows delivered but in fact i didnt received anything. Plus the order is already paid. When i call Umami restaurant and check with them giving the order number they said nothing.

I was passing by this restaurant today and ordered Poke Bowl. The taste was really good and the portion was not small. Impression of food was good and I most likely come there again.P.S. Manager be kind to your staff, they look very tired.

Curry Udon Noodles tastes like Cinnamon Udon Noodles. Absolutly disgusting.

Today I went to eat with my friend in Umami Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, the customer service was inappropriate coz I was the first to arrive and ignored me and served other customers, I ordered chicken curry katsu, it was horrible, the chicken wasnt properly fried and hard to eat, (kind of raw) and the beef of my friend was so tough.I asked to replace it and they changed it, generally it wasnt a pleasant experience there.Thank you

Tried this place as it was listed as one of places in Dubai to eat ramen. However, the taste was far from the real authentic ramen. The broth was rather bland and lack of flavour and the noodle wasnt cooked properly. Not recommended unless you really desperate to eat ramen and you happen to be in Mall of Emirates.

The food is fine but the service is worst. I am a Filipina. I was standing for almost 10 minutes to I order my food but the staff looks like they dont see anyone infront of them. There was two russian ladies who came and were attended first and a minute after that chinese customers came and was served as well. I dont know if i am invisible or they just prefer to serve other nationalities first. The staff was two filipinas though and one indian lady. One was still a trainee as the Filipina mentioned. But overall really bad experience. Even the water is missing when i got my order i need to come back again to get it.
