A Japanese cafe in D3. The place is so quite and the vibes are so chill. The minimal interior is very beautiful. The staff are super lovely and friendly. The desserts are heavenly (the pancakes specifically). However, if only they could add more cause the price is high for just two pieces. The mango roll was dangerously good!! The tiramisu tasted a bit sour and that was disappointing. The ambience is lovely but the only problem is it’s too hot inside and I hope they can solve this problem. It was a lovely experience overall.
One of my favorite places in Dubai ❤️first of all, i love how the interior design is so minimal and full of light.Breakfast is really tasty and I always go for the Avocado toast 🥑 .Coffee and drinks are really good and the Rose coconut juice is just refreshing 😍.And when it comes to dessert i can assure you would like all of they serve.
Ambience is chillThe seats are too low but good for the tableThere is no interior design = no effort in look and feel. The pancakes tasted uncooked and Betty Crocker’s pancake. Basically, the batter wasn’t made in the restaurant and it apparently is not compatible for the concept they went for (not compatible for Japanese pancake). The « Mango » was worse than the « original/strawberry » pancake. At least the syrup in the original is better. However, that doesn’t mean the pancake tasted any good. The service is fine. Below average but tolerable.
The place is so cozy and comfy. The i loved the cafe design. We ordered pancake and custard pudding. The pancake is so fluffy and yummy although you can taste and smell the egg. The custard was yummy too.I will visit them again to try their cold drinks
At their old branch (Jumeirah Street) everything was SO much better: the coffee☕️ , food and service.Location: Now at D3. Seating are very uncomfortable.Staff: Their English language skills are not so good so it was not very smooth to communicate with them. In general, they honestly need better/more training.Food: Avocado 🥑 on toast was so cold. The brioche bread tastes like before (so good), eggs Benedict is not served in croissant 🥐 anymore sadly. All dishes are served with baby potatoes 🥔 on the sides, so potatoes were not cooked well and therefore not very much eatable!Pancakes 🥞 are as good as before 👏🏼Coffee: Otaku was known for their very good coffee. Unfortunately that is not the case now unless you enjoy ☕️ with fruity/sour aroma.Prices: AverageCOVID19 precautions: e-Menu is not availableNot visiting again although I used to really enjoy having breakfast 🍳 there 👎🏼
Ordered the Mango Lemonade and it was dreadful, the Mango they used tasted like canned Mango and not fresh. The tiramisu latte was just normal iced latte with cream balls sprinkled with cocoa powder and a piece of lady finger biscuit (you should judge if its worth 34 AED). The server was nice though.
Very nice coffee Place, good desserts but a bit to expensive compared to other Japanese places.
Based on my experience in Otaku, the selection of coffees and pastries were exquisite.I would personally recommend the strawberry tiramisu cake and the Otaku pancakes, in addition to the amazing staff there. A mesmerizing blend of Emirati and Japanese cuisine.
Nice coffee and delicious Japanese cake
I loved the atmospheric ambience with the fresh delicious food
37 aed for a small matcha latte overpriced !!!! and doesn’t even taste good, the guy who made it was completely lost I needed to repeat things 500 times and he wasn’t friendly , only things I like is the place the design is amazing . You can’t even eat yet they aren’t ready.
The chocolate tart , The chocolate tart , The chocolate tart . Best tart in town.
Pancakes were delicious but service is awfully slowIm literally the only person in the resturaunt at around 10 am yet I had to wait 45 minutes for pancakes !!
Slow service and pancake tastes like eggs
