Beautiful culinary experience between traditional Japanese and sophisticated cuisine. We took the menu, very tasteful. Excellent service, much appreciated. Great wine menu in Dubai.Nice atmosphere for a romantic dinner.My recommendation : taste the chocolate fondant dessert with miso caramel. A mix between French and Japanese desserts, amazing !

Wonderful restaurant, very good service, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. The second floor is quieter and less crowded. They serve small portions, which I really like as you can try a variety of dishes.

Netsu has been my go to restaurant for the past two years now … the service and food amazes me each time I visit! I’ve been there with family and friends for our special occasions and casual dinners and never felt unsatisfied … highly highly recommend, thanks for being welcoming and helpful

The food is good. The indoor decor is nice. Some of the people on the floor attending patrons were great, some people were not great. Our waitress was all over the place. Not sure if she was new, lack of staff on the floor, or some other reason but she didn’t bring our menus in a timely manner. We had to wait 15 minutes to get menus, same thing with the table next to us. We had to ask twice about our water too.Kevin on the floor helped us out. He was super friendly and made us feel welcomed. There were a couple of other waiters who helped us out once we were outside and they were also superb.The seafood was fine. The beef dish that Kevin recommended was very yummy. I wish we had more of it. The onions themselves were super sweet! I really enjoyed them.I will come back to only eat steak and skip the seafood.The open air area in the back was very nice the relaxing. We ended up staying after dinner for a while having tons of drinks.

I honestly dont like eating Japanese very much. But when I entered the restaurant, the waiter was very friendly. He helped me a lot and gave me a lot of choices, so the food was delicious and the price was not high. I thank them for the lovely service.

One of the best modern Japanese cuisine ( specialize in stakes).The yellowfin tuna is a must if you like sashimi. The soft shell crab salad was amazing made of real crab not the reprocess one like a lot of other restaurant.Black truffle beef rice was suggested by the waiter it was amazingFood 10 out of 10Atmosphere 8 out 10Price 10 out 10 i will consider it as cheap price compared to others.Definitely will come again.

I have been for a while wanted to try Netsu restaurant and finally I did, the experience was very good. Actually I can say its one of the best Japanese food tast I ever had. Vibes and atmosphere was really cheerful and I had a great time. Staff were very nice and service was amazing. Recommended

A great early evening out. When you enter the restaurant once past the concierge check, you experience a visual and sound sensual experience. Seating is indoors and out with the weather still good. The service was deserving of 5 stars as was the food. All very very good....But don’t ever mention Shake Shack whilst you are there....

This review and the stars are only and only for the staff.Been in Dubai 10 years and have traveled extensively. The food quality is excellent but taste isn’t memorable.5 stars to the service, the servers are accommodating.The manager at the restaurant was helpful and genuinely tried to make me like the food they made efforts to get to know what I like and what I don’t and recommend dishes including sending some complimentary. Their sincere efforts deserve mention but I wouldn’t come back for the food or the drinks or even the dessert.

We are regulars at netsu & we love it there.However, our visit 2 days ago was something else. We were celebrating a special occasion and our table was a small one tucked away. Service was UNBELIEVABLY slow that I had to get up and call the waiter. We had to wait so long for a waiter to pass by if we needed something. Even when we asked for the check it took forever. Made the celebration an unpleasant experience.

Netsu is a Japanese restaurant located in Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah Hotel.Ambiance:The restaurant has a very well designed interior with walls being painted with Japanese art. It’s colorful and vibrant. There are two floors , the ground floor has a more energetic vibe to it but the upper floor is more quiet and private..⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️Food & drinks:Food was absolutely fantastic. Very well designed plates, portions were medium size, but the food was quiet tasty. The dessert was the best part! Eye catching in terms of presentation and delicious.Cocktails were also very refreshing and the combination of ingredients used resulted in a drink with a very pleasing taste.⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️Service:Staff were well knowledgeable and very helpful. Netsu has been a really delightful surprise. Me and my sweet half were guest of the hotel and decided to try the restaurant.Quality of the food has a real high standard. Great taste, good presentation and reasonable price.Mention of honor: service. This is one the few places in Dubai where we met professional personnel. They are precise, welcoming, able to recommend and educated. All these characteristics add a warm touch to the place.Other aspect that personally impressed me was the dessert: we tried the French toast (slightly revisited with some classy touch).Bravo team Netsu! We will definitely be back.

The best Japanese cuisine I love it

Exquisite Japanese food in the very gorgeous and newly build hotel in Jumeirah. Admitting that this is not genuine and real Japanese but I have never seen that foreign Japanese restaurant imitates Warayaki to this high extent. Good hospitality and really sophisticated Gin Tonic with Japanese Gin ROKU.

Have gone to the restaurant twice and loved their small dishes. Their chocolate fondant with salted caramel filling is a must have!

Analogous experience to Zuma or Roka but with a unique chic vibe and bespoke menu with the option of being seated outside to take in the air from the ocean. Recommend the ground floor or outdoor section if you like the party vibe or the upstairs if you need relative silence for a long conversation. The tiraditos just melted in my mouth.

The place has really nice atmosphere and the food was good, but the service was horrible. Even though there were plenty of empty tables, we were informed that we have only 2 hour till our table is reserved for somebody else. It felt like I am in a competition to finish my food and the waiter couldnt wait to clear my plates, even though I was far from finished. The whole dessert (sorbet) spilled on the table as soon as it was served, so we couldnt even try it, but the waiter didnt seem to care. The bill of 900Aed for two of us (two girls) was brought to the table without us even asking for it. Working in the customer service myself, I would say that I have not experienced such a bad service in a long time. I felt offended by the way we were treated. Even though we met some of our friends there, who invited us to join them on their table, after being politely asked to vacate ours, we decided that in Dubai there are too many excellent places to visit, where we will be treated properly.Never going there again!

Favourite Japanese in Dubai. Everything is delicious.

Yummmm everything we ordered was delicious, I especially loved the wagyu gyoza (although I don’t usually eat gyoza)... I took out one star because the wagyu steak was a bit lacking in taste. The service was very good, the staff friendly, and the music excellent. Highly recommended!

Absolutely spectacular food. The rice straw fire actually adds a LOT of flavour to meats and even the greens. The tasting menu adds a lot of value, even at Dubai prices. We were annoying guests and asked to substitute something on the preset menu but the staff was extremely accommodating. The atmosphere is not to everyones taste but it definitely does the trick. Highly recommend!

My favourite swanky Japanese restaurant in Dubai. The food is always good as is the service. I particularly love the king crab and the fact that the restaurant uses real wasabi rather than the green horseradish replica that many restaurants tend to use as it is significantly cheaper. The only thing I wasnt super keen on was the sea urchin. It didnt sit well on my stomach so I wont be trying that again.

If you are planning a Japanese night in Dubai, Netsu will give you the feel and taste. Got to try their special Sashimi (Chef recommended) and the truffle beef is a mouthful - Simply Delicious. Another highlight be the wagyu offerings which is expensive but definitely worth the experience and try it along with the veggie hot stone rice. Enjoy it!

This review is intended for people who know Japanese food or are looking for honest reviews. Another reviewer by the name of Salem Yamani was on the spot with his review. Unfortunately I had the ability to try the Portuguese restaurant upstairs but went to this one instead. Frankly, the service is terrible. The food came in random order. The nigiri we had was a shame to be called as such. The Maki roll felt like an amateur made it. The main dish of fish was bland and the skin was not crispy I wasnt able to chew one bite. The dessert felt like Im ingesting whip cream with sugar. I dont want to sound harsh but that is the reality. I dont want to insult the staff, however they were not suitable for such a place. On top of that we were charged for a dish we didnt order and when I complained on the bill they tried to act as if nothing happened. I know its tough times, but dont try to cheat us. This incident is irrelevant to my review but I wanted to bring it up to show the lackluster service. Like I mentioned this review is intended for people who appreciate and know food. The crowd there seemed to be happy though and are the type who wouldnt be able to notice the quality. (photos taken by me)

Super food and service .. try the spicy waguy hot stone price.. a dish to die for very fragrant with crispy rice and vegetable. Yum yum.The steak was over cooked the manager changed it .. no questions asked.Maki rolls were spot on.Tables are spaced as per the covid guidelines.

Netsu is situated in the new Mandarin Oriental hotel in Jumeirah.The ambiance is set immediately by the central glass kitchen placement right in the middle.You can see the chefs using traditional fire kindling to get a perfect grill and tanned fish when ordered.They also have a live sushi preparation station, where you can interact with the chef to have it prepared to taste.We went specifically for their desert selection, which consist of traditional Japanese ice creams. We tried the Japanese cheesecake desert as well as the proper ice cream.Both are nice bites. The interaction level of the service staff was pleasant.

The parking is with valet and included in the dinner.The location is nice, but not traditional, welcoming but the music sounded a bit too loud: good for friends, less for a romantic dinner.The service is top, friendly, polite, and careful.The food looks and tastes delicious except for the very expensive Wagyu beef steak: after the dinner I had to go with my wife to ER for food intoxication: either the raw material was bad or it was poorly prepared? My first visit to Netsu yesterday, definitely not the last.The staff positivity, attentiveness and knowledge of menu items, ingredients and suggestions (especially Nick) was engaging. Not to mention, all the staff we interacted with knew the reservation name, used it all night and introduced themselves. (Staff do not wear name badges)It was already a great experience from the moment we said hi at the entrance to one of the staff, whom initially took us to a quieter area with couples in comparison to big families dining in another, very very thoughtful. Although when I asked to watch the famous grill, he did not hesitate to show us even more options, escorting us all around the restaurant, introducing us to services, products, the DJ.Wine selection was exquisite, our meal options, although we have ordered sushi/sashimi selection and wagyu steak; arrived at the same time as we wished. Everything we ordered were delicious and light, worthy of prices.Staff went beyond, assisting with lighting devices, and asking the chef to light up the grill to take photos for us, pro actively.I must say, although we were seated in front of the open kitchen plan grill, the ventilation system was so efficient, we did not have smell or smoke anywhere near us.The music/DJ was cohesive and enjoyable!While we were enjoying a delicious selection of mochi, I asked to speak to the manager, and Andrea visited our table promptly, and thanked for our feedback.Impressive!

The environment and restaurant is very good, but we had a bad experience about the manager (Mr.Andrew) we had waited for a very long time to get the other half of the order then we realized that it has been served to someone else by mistake , i had cancelled the order because we were in hurry. The waiter came and apologized and promised that will be on the house but when he brought the bill we got fooled to check that he had charged us. Please be careful always read your bills before paying. Do not get fooled with this fancy restaurant

The food is excellent but the live music is not my thing. I give them a 4 star this time because the service was erratic. Yes it was a Thursday night and I do give them some leeway but its a bit disappointing.

Netsu, is a new modern Japanese steakhouse from chef Ross Shonhan showcasing the Japanese cooking technique of Warayaki – straw fire cooking – grills, sushi and sashimi platters. It is a new addition to Dubai’s dining scene. Decor and ambiance is modern and trendy although loud music background doesn’t fit well with the restaurant. Food is a hit and miss; some dishes are excellent, some are average while some are poor. Desserts though need serious improvement. Service was friendly and professional. Prices of some dishes were on the high side even for Dubai. Netsu is trying to compete with the likes of Zuma but Zuma has still a better edge and more reasonable prices.

Atmosphere and service are great. Live cooking station makes you feel involved. Seafood menu is great but as Im allergic to seafood had to try the rest of the dishes and have to say they need to work on that part of the menu, very weak and poor quality even though we ordered several dishes they were all mediocre. Id still vote for Zuma over here.

I REALLY LOVED the food there. It was an amazing restaurant with a very sophisticated but modern type of cuisine. The waiters and waitresses were also VERY VERY NICE. The location and the style of the restaurant was TOP. The mandarin was the PERFECT place for it to be located in. Me and my family also liked the style of the restaurant, it was very bright but also dark in a way. Also having the chefs cook in front of you is amazing.I CERTAINLY recommend this restaurant to ANYBODY.

The restaurant is so over priced. The staff are ok and are not the sharpest you expect from a fine dinning. The food quality is sub par. They served the tuna tataki like a steak. It had to be cut very thin and their cuts were so tick.They added so many sesame to every items that was all we could taste.The only good thing was the sake.I wouldn’t recommend this place as there are some better sushi places in Dubai for that price.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in dubai. The food quality is amazing, the atmosphere is beautiful. Ask for Dmitrijs he is the best and he will take care of you guys, the wagyu steak must be medium you’ll thank me.

The food was not as bad as others say it is and the atmosphere is beautiful but the managemnt is one of the worst I have seen.We have ordered a sashimi dish and they forgot to bring it after a 1:30 hr wait. The waiter offered us the dish we had ordered on the house and we accepted it but then they charged us for it anyways .The waiter mentioned that the manager mr. Andrea changed his mind about the offer .We paid and left with a sour taste

The food was good, but the service is horrible. We could not find a waiter to call. Empty plates were left on the table almost all evening. When the waiter eventually came, the service was extremely slow, and we to follow up a couple of times

I actually appreciated the food and the service, staffs were friendly and attentive. We had sushi set, gilled Japanese wagyu and lobster, food was tasty. I gave 2 stars because after dinner, in the middle of night I needed to rush to ER in hospital because of the food poisoning. I guess it was probably the wagyu steak because when I think of it again I feel really sick (that was the dish that I ordered that’s why my husband was fine), not sure how they handled the meat products, maybe some procedures gone wrong so the bacteria multiplied during the defrost process? Don’t know. It was a pity because I really appreciated the food at the moment. I just hope they read my review and have some improvement regarding food handling.Updated: the food safety management team had contacted me, asked for the details and my medical record. They did their investigation regarding the food safety. I really appreciate their efforts and they took actions promptly. They take their customers’ opinions seriously which I would look for for a restaurant managed by a 5 stars hotel. Overall I still did have a pleasant dining experience there, with their serious attitude towards customers I would go back there again.

Tried the iftar menu and the food is extraordinarily.The highlights tamboura shrimps and chocolate dessert, ofcourse the mocktails were stunning like neverThe overall service is good highlight the French manager , bar tender too

Netsu was packed on a Monday night and we were offered seating at the sushi bar until a table freed up.Starters: Korean fried chicken was very delicious and a super solid alternative to “dynamite shrimp” which is served at every Japanese. Beef gyoza was just good and nothing to rave about.Sushi: Spicy tuna and shrimp tempura makis were very good, and a special mention to the latter because it was one of the best I had. The flavors of the makis were unique and not like your typical sushi joint.Main: Beef short rib was well-marinated and perfectly cooked, served with condiments that unfortunately were never explained by the waiter. Wagyu Hot Stone Rice was the only underwhelming dish as it lacked flavor and barely any sign of the beef.Service: poor service and cannot compete against the greats in DIFC. From the moment we walked in until we left we did not receive mentionable service. Very long wait times for the food especially the main dishes which were served more than 30 minutes after the starters. Dishes were just dropped off to the table like a fast food restaurant. Hostesses were fairly poor in interactions. This takes off 2 stars from my rating because I expected far better.TLDR; great food but be prepared to wait for your food and receive poor/average service.

Heard a lot about this place, my friend and I each got the chefs special choice. It is a bit overpriced except for the meat that was in it, which had an exceptional taste! But the service that day wasn’t that great, the dinner took 3 hours with 30 min delay between one plate and the other. I would go there but wouldn’t order the tasting choice again but rather go straight for the special dishes like the meat. Sake was also very good.

Excellent food, especially the miso aubergine and the scallop ceviche ... the seabass was also impeccable- and the service is top notch...had an amazing experience and highly recommend this place if you like Japanese and Peruvian food

If you want to try good Japanese restaurant with fusion then Netsu is the perfect place. The open kitchen is great to see food preparation. The staff is really friendly and food tastes really great.Try the short ribs if you are there and it will melt in your mouth. It is better to sit upstairs as it is less crowded and seats are more comfortable.

Amazing place, delicious food and amazing hospitality. We Went for the tasting menu so we could sample lots of things on the menu - all fantastic, fresh and so tasty. The staff were incredible, a particular thanks to sourav who was amazing and remembered us from our last visit. Ahmad was fantastic and polite and made some great recommendations for us. Fadel was the sake master and explained all about the different types of sake to us, polite and knowledgable.All around a fantastic experience that will keep me coming back! I love this restaurant and my experiences here more with every visit!
