Everything was amazing here. From decor right down to the dessert. I would highly recommend Izakaya to anyone who wants to enjoy Japanese food with just the right stylish-casual vibe. Ive been here twice with my family the last two weeks. Once as normal table and the second time as the Teppanyaki. Both times the staff/service was fantastic. Actually make you enjoy the place even before the food hits the table. The food and chefs are incredible with the dishes they served.

Spent my birthday last Monday and staff surprised me with a lovely song and cake! So sweet right? An edgy and a very fun vibe dining experience! Clarence and the rest of the team is a legend! Their version of black cod is absolutely delicious! Cant wait to be back and will recommend it to my friends!

My kids loved this place, especially my daughter who was celebrating her birthday. The stuff were welcoming and friendly especially you Wasabi Girl. A big thank you to you for making my daughters day very special and for the lovely birthday card that you all signed for her. We also loved the atmosphere and the funny notes on the wall.

Amazing dinner - enjoyed the ambience, food and service. 5 star rating to this restaurant. Expensive yes !Starters was spicy vegetable maki, izakaya explosion maki with prawns ❤, spicy endamame (couldnt stop at one so went to order one more). The menu is centred mainly around sushi, nigiri and sashimi. Other staple Japanese dishes are also on offer including yakitori, tempura and traditional starters although the variety isnt as extensive as in other restaurants. However, the quality of food was excellent and very tasty. The drinks menu was fairly good with a choice of cocktails, Japanese beers and sake and other liquor. Service was warm and friendly while the Wasabi girl added a touch of fun and quirkiness. The ambiance was casual yet very suiting to the overall izakaya concept. Would definitely recommend!

Had tons of different rolls. All of them were great. The soft shell crab roll was amazing. Some of the makis we chose were also spicy and full of flavor like the dynamite one. I’ll say that my favorite dish was the crispy rice tuna. Every piece and bite was perfect! We had 30% off through BonVoy, so make sure you sign up and use your BonVoy loyalty number to get a solid discount. I think the offer expires in a couple of weeks. Regardless, go enjoy the resto. I wasn’t a fan of the decoration but the staff was kind and the chef extremely accommodating. Try their mochi ice cream!

This place struck me!!Definitely a hidden gem in Dubai; food was great! We came in expecting average quality food from a Japenese restaurant in Dubai considering we’ve recently landed from Japan, sushi doesn’t taste the same anymore (if you’ve been to Japan you’d know) .. but infact the sashimi was great, tuna and salmon taste fresh, tempura is amazing and the chef made it personally to our table to check if everything was ok!Staff are very friendly and the vibe is cozy and peaceful!This must is a must try!!

We went for their bento box special. The food was very good - quality, size and presentation. Everything was fresh and was cooked there and then on the spot. Very funky atmosphere that reminded us of a couple of places we had been to in Tokyo.

Had a very good dinner, Sushi and Sashimi of top quality. Also cooked salmon delicious. Not particularly impressed by Sake though, even if its not important.The location is wonderful, both because of the hotel where it is set and the restaurant itself.When Im back in Dubai Ill probably get back there if I want Japanese food

I absolutely love Izakaya and have been almost 15 times since it very recently opened a few months ago. Its turned in to our favourite Sushi place and never disappoints. The staff are so friendly and they all know us by name, the quality and taste of the food is excellent. Its not a cheap sushi diner, but rather a high end, social sushi experience. You get what you pay for and in this case, above and beyond. Couldnt recommend it highly enough.

I know the city has many excellent restaurants but personally I love this one... the food, decor and employees are just the best... and they have a wasabi girl who comes and grates fresh wasabi when you call her! Totally recommend this place if you’re in the mood to sushalize They even let us make a tuna taco that wasn’t on the menu but honestly it was out of this world. Thanks to the chef and wasabi girl for making our experience so memorable.

Home of the Wasabi girl! All you can eat sushi consisted of 4 different plates brought out in order and then you are able to pick your favorite until you can barely move afterwards. Excellent, if pricey, sake menu.

Excellent fresh sushi, tender juicy wagyu beef skewers, delicious lobster tapanyaki. Pleasant and friendly staff specially the wasabi girl who serves fresh wasabi on the table and walks around with the saki trolly for tasting and recommendations. All in all a very good experience.

Decent food, but not good enough to justify the price (550 USD for 3 people with a mid priced bottle of Sake). Atmosphere was pretty sterile too. Wont go again.

One of the best restaurant

The staff here are very friendly however they seem very disengaged and not familiar with the menu terminology. The Nigiri looked as though a child had made them as the rice to raw fish ratio was concerningly disproportionate. The taste not much better as the salmon was very firm and the scallop overtly strong in flavour. The sashimi was a total rip off as I recieved 6 tough pieces for over 20usd. The sushi was very ordinary also as the nori was not crisp (an indication that the product is not made to order). The sake prices are an absolute joke as well (800% mark up on what I pay in Australia) and the waitress know very little about the product they are serving, I asked for a reccomendation on a nice Daiginjo and none knew what I was talking about, didnt surprise me as they were just as confused when I had enquired about ingredients on the food menu. This dark and dimly lit restaurant was very disappointing, I gave them a second chance and I wont be giving them a third.
