Food was good but not something you can’t get here only! The place is jam-packed and the staff looked careless and busy although no food is being served. Japanese restaurant doesn’t mean tiny seats and high prices.

One of the BEST Ramen I have had in Dubai. The menu has just the right choice of items that will cater to a good meal. Every dish is tastefully made. Portion sizes are average. Reservations are not easy to get. The service is top notch and good to see the staff smiling at all times. Free parking is available for diners. This restaurant was recommended by friends and happy to share it was worth it.

Absolutely horrible experience! Don’t waste your time ! With the staff they have they won’t be around too long anyways. Extremely rude and unprofessional.First of all , interior design of the restaurant is nothing special, they are playing vulgar music all night , songs with extreme profanities. If you complain , they’ll tell you it’s their style !Food is good but nothing so special that would make me humiliate myself to go there ever again !It was my birthday dinner with friends. 6 of us. We were just ordering the food when the waitress told us : ‘portions are too small, you have to order A LOT !’ Seriously, this is how they talk ? Like some street people , leaving very unprofessional impression. At 9.50pm we were just finishing our dinner, didn’t order any dessert yet, still eating … waitress comes and says : ‘I’m gonna need this table in 10 minutes !’ We were stunned… I have never heard anything like this in this manner before . Then another guy came with our bill and kept standing behind my husband so he remembers we have to get out. So unpleasant! So rude !!!!! So unprofessional!!!!NEVER going back !

The only minus I would say is the atmosphere , I know it was late but we had to keep calling for attention and the staff seemed uninterested and kept talking between themselves.

If you know the history behind Kinoya then you’d know that this Japanese Izakaya was a long time in the making. From a sold out supper club to a lockdown delivery service now to a buzzing restaurant, it’s worth the multiple calls to get a place at one of their tables. Reservations are essential especially if you’re trying to visit on a weekend or weekday evening. At other times you can try your luck by walking in. Neha took the time to perfect her craft and each dish on the menu is executed exceptionally well. The wagyu tsukune is one of my favorite appetizers. It melts in your mouth and the addition of yolk & sweet soy is the perfect dip. The chicken karaage and burnt butter scallops are also not to be missed. The off the menu special a yuzu ramen with a lovely balance of spice and citrus; is a fav of mine to date. The licensed bar serves up Japanese beer, whisky, sake and cocktails. The hotel offers free valet (provided you have a designated driver) Kinoya also features a few private dining rooms (tatami) for larger parties with sunken seating and a no-shoe policy; a wicked playlist; and a bunch of knowledgeable, personable staff to help guide you through your Kinoya experience. You’re going to want to visit more than once!

Where do I even begin? Kinoya is one of those places I have only dreamed of in Dubai. The food is outstanding, the service is impeccable, and the places ambience makes you feel like you could be in someones home. I would highly recommend you to go and enjoy Kinoya immediately. It would be best if you went with friends, family or even alone. The food is very well priced, and I am happy to over order every time I go. OMG, what a disaster!!! The entrance is done really well but the rest of the restaurant is a disappointment!!! Food is not all that either, I have seen sooooooo many good reviews about this place and I though wow I finally found my go to Japanese restaurant sadly I did NOT! The ramen was lacking in every aspect, and thats just the ramen. The scallop was not cooked well, the pregnant fish (thats what the waiter called it) 1st portion we ordered was great so we ordered another and it was bad. The eggplant dish with soy butter was delicious and so was the plum wine. But all in all my experience here was jot a good one sadly and I would never go back!!! Maybe I had set the bar too high for this place due to all the reviews I had read and the influencer stories etc! Not all that! Sorry.

Great place to enjoy some Japanese delicacies in a private room like grilled beef and rice dishes. I recommend the shrimp tempura also. They also had a great eggplant dish with miso butter. The gyoza was pretty good too.Only thing I still cannot recommend is the ramen. I didnt think they were outstanding. I would stick with the beef skewers, shrimp tempura, and rice with salmon.

Let me start by saying the Burnt Butter Scallops are heavenly! it comes with two scallops, these lovely mushroom that were cooked to perfection it tasted like steak for 50 AED, i think its worth it. The scallops were charred at the right amount on the outside and tender inside. This is one of the unique dishes Kinoya has to offer.Of course, one of the highlights of the restaurant is their Ramen! We tried the Shoyu Ramen and their Spicy Miso Ramen. The noodles were the right amount of bounce and stretch. You can absolutely tell the amount of sweat, blood and tears that went into this dish. The spicy miso ramen was a little harsh on the throat and i didnt really enjoy the chicken it came with, it felt a little too fatty. The shoyu broth was nice and mild, and very well balanced, it also came with just two pieces of beef, i would probably ask for extra next time but Id definitely order the Shoyu Ramen next time! The Negima was a familiar taste, but what sets it apart is how they cooked it so well! the right amount of char and smoke gave this dish its own uniqueness. The Wagyu Tsukune was seasoned perfectly and the sauce brings it all together! however it was a little too soft for more taste.Lastly we ordered Uni Sushi which was a weekend special at the time at a whooping 200AED for two pieces, uni is a delicacy! so this was expected, just keep that in mind when you order specials - as most would be unique delicacies that might be expensive! We had the strawberry parfait for dessert and it was really good! the strawberry gelato was amazing and the mousse made it so much better!Being at Kinoya felt like being transformed to Japan - however the music which composed of a lot of hip hop tunes was very immersion breaking. Most of the time it was too loud and we struggled to have a conversation. You would also wait a lot for each order, but thats understandable with the amount of detail that goes into each dish, just expect a wait. What we didnt like was how hard it was to get someone in the teams attention, they were purposely avoiding eye contact, and then you see them in a corner chatting and laughing most of the time, almost purposely ignored - however if you want Japanese food, nightclub vibes, and a fight for attention this is the place for you!

Visited Kinoya for dinner for the first time 2 nights ago. Service was excellent, staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. Most of the dishes were very very good. The atmosphere is clean and bustling in a traditional Japanese setup. Music was fun too. Most of the dishes were very good. The baby spinach truffle salad was a solid 10/10 that dressing was extraordinary. The shrimp salad was also very tasty with fresh shrimp 9/10.Chicken karage a 10/10 as the batter wasnt greasy and it had both softness and crunch that you would want from Japanese fried chicken.**Wagyu Tsukune 3000/10 this was a star dish for me unexpectedly. The meat was so tender and flavorsome and it matched perfectly with the dipping sauce.Crispy tofu and eggplant was tasty and flavorful but not as crispy as i would have liked 7/10.Mackerel was tasty and fresh but nothing out of the oridinary 6/10.Wagyu gyozas were tasty but slightly watery which can happen sometime 7/10.**Shrimp tempura was another star dish. Batter was excellent and thin but fully coating the shrimp- and the shrimp was sweet and excellent. Really a star dish 20/10Unagi fried rice- the unagi was good and flavorful in a sticky sweet sauce, the rice was lacking flavor- no garlic and a bit dry- definitely room for improvement. 6/10Miso aubergine was an interesting dish because the charred miso glaze was excellent. However the aubergine itself was smokey which is an acquired taste so not recommended for everyone 7/10.The spicy miso ramen was clean simple chicken broth- not spicy and definitely had room for improvement in flavor but im more partial to a tantanmen broth which is apparently coming soon. However i must say the eggs were excellent, and even better were the chewy texturey noodles that were a solid 100. 8/10The shio ramen had a more flavorsome and whole broth- i liked it a lot.8/10Nigiris were of high quality fish and super traditional with tepid rice the way it should be 9/10.Matcha and red bean desert was also 8/10 for being interesting.

Staff is not friendly, kind of aggressive and no clue about hospitality.Food was less than ok. Ramen noodles were more like aldente spaghetti. The appetizers came late and spaced 25 minutes each. They were ok.On top of disappointment is the chef. A chef is an attitude, a smile, a greeting to guests especially in japanese ramen concept. She was just in a hurry to prepare food. She may have even noticed that we were disappointed by staff attitude and service but didnt show interest. They have a long way to be a plac le to return to.

They also ran out of one if their ramen broths when we tried to order it as our main half way through our meal around 1030-1100pm.That said some dishes to try for that 1st time experience are Karaage, Miso Butter Eggplant, Shrimp Tempura and Wagyu Tsukune.

The first impression, when you walked inside Kinoya restaurant, the ambiance and theme resemble Japan interior of simplicity and minimalistic design, incorporating natural materials like wooden columns and stones. We ordered 8 (including drinks), they serve the dish in no particular order (my expectations were we would start first with appetizer) I think they serve whatever is ready, so we tried the tempura shrimp and ramen. The shrimp tempura is bland but comes along with it was salt, some sort of light sauce, and what looks to be a shredded radish. Next is Shio Ramen, chicken broth with dashi (the broth has a charry taste). We order regular size because I can’t finish the entire bowl by myself, the chicken was moist and has a charry taste to it and the noodles taste was freshly made. The next dish serve was Atsuage tofu with aubergine (sa tagalog, tokwa’t talong 😊) this was the highlight for us as far as the taste is concerned, I guess this is what the Japanese called ‘umami’ flavor so, simple yet surprisingly delicious, whatever condiments they poured on top of this dish, really works!Chicken gyoza was freshly made and you can taste it, I ate one because I’m stuffed already, and I need to have a room for dessert, so hubby finished the entire plate. Hubby ordered stir-fried rice, it was okay. And for our dessert we order egg flan and a pot of organic Japanese sencha tea, I like the burnt sugar on the egg flan and the tea, it tastes grassier than your usual green tea, well this is expected because of how Japanese harvest their tea leaves. I need to mention the lychee yuzu drink, personally, it tasted good but I’m not sure if it was by design or coincidence, but the straw is so petit that you must put a little effort to slurped it.Overall, the portion is just right, I have not been to Japan so wouldn’t know what authentic Japanese food taste like but having said this, it tasted fresh, simple and delicious – I guess this is what about celebrating the ingredients sounds like 😊If I were to make feedback and that is the background music, c’mon RnB and hip-hop songs do not blend with the theme its ruining the mood. They are always fully booked so, make sure you book in advance, your reservation is only for two hours, the service and staff are attentive and efficient. For eight items, we paid including tax of AED 350.00. Kinoya now becomes one of our go-to restaurants. We are now planning to have our next reservation, this time we will bring the kids.

Its average food at best, definitely much better places for Japanese food and ramen in Dubai. We tried about 75% of the limited menu and Id recommend maybe two dishes at most but nothing memorable enough to warrant going back for at all. The chicken karaage is without flavour, the gyoza arrived cold, the ramen is too salty without any other flavour, and the desserts are disappointingly saccharine. The ambiance is great (the only reason Id consider returning, if ever), but I recommend getting a table away from the private dining rooms because youll be treated to watching a crowd of people taking their shoes on and putting them back on barely a foot or two away from you. The drawer with people shoes stayed open for about 30 minutes, which wasnt he best view either. The prices look reasonable but the portions dont match up, so it all adds up. For the amount you spend, youd be better off going to much nicer places. The menus are already falling apart. The servers are quite pushy about insisting you post a review and mention their names, which is understandable for a new restaurant I suppose. But please make sure to think twice before sharing your feedback, especially on social media. When the feedback isnt positive, the owners Instagram openly makes digs (in very poor taste) about paying customers. Really, the best thing about this restaurant is their social media reach from the former supper club. Curious how the supper club operated from the owners home though in a place like Dubai thats extremely strict about food regulations.

I wish they had a vegan ramen on the menu. Besides that, the place is beautiful and the food is bomb.
