Amazing food , lovely location , very relaxing atmosphere and the service was also amazing.All the starters , mains and dessert were perfect. The 4 star is only due to the fact that I didnt like our server coming to us multiple times to order when clearly we wanted to take sometime between the mains and dessert. But for the attention as well as the quickness I would say much better than its competition.I would say worth the hype.I will definitely be back soon.

Honestly one of the best.Superb vegetarian and vegan options. Flavours will hit every note and no two dishes from what we had were the same. Portions are plentiful and great bang for your buck. Had dinner at ROKA and I’ve got two words: Absolutely Amazing!Ambiance and Atmosphere: We had dinner quite late, meaning we ended up staying until they closed. If you’re looking for a loud place to have dinner and enjoy drinks, without it being a full-on club, then this is the place.Service: The hostess, food runner, and waiter were all great, attentive, and welcoming despite it being a busy Friday night which is something I really appreciate.Food: Superb! This is the best maki and nigiri I’ve had in a very long time, truly authentic Japanese food. The cod was unreal, it was like cutting through butter. The dessert platter was flavourful, I love how they included something for every taste bud. For drinks, I had the Chardonnay, dessert sake, and Piña colada. The Chardonnay was an absolute disaster and the only reason for the 4 stars, it was obviously not aged well and there was no aftertaste of the wine/normal Chardonnay, it tasted like pure ethanol. The dessert sake was amazing and made up for the Chardonnay. The pina colada was so innovative, I loved it! Our bartenders were very friendly.Overall: 5/5, if it just wasn’t for that awful Chardonnay. I literally can’t wait to be back.

The location, fit-out, ambience, spaciously placed out tables, buzz, well plated food and delicately crafted menu all add to the experience at ROKA. I would definitely rate it as well worth a visit. Their business lunches are great. If the server didnt come to us as often, interrupting us incessantly for no reason without even bothering to excuse themselves, I would have rated ROKA 5 stars. Just say excuse me politely if you want to interrupt me 5 times if you need to, and maybe you will get the 5 stars from me! :)

One of the best restaurants in Dubai! I visited a lot of good restaurants here, and this one impressed me, all the food we ordered was amazing, and the bill was absolutely not overpriced. This place is way better then Zuma. Highly recommend : tuna tartare with caviar, yellowtail carpaccio, spicy tuna maki, dessert chocolate brownie with coconut sorbet. We will definitely be back again soon, cause grilled scallops were not availible =))

We went to Roka for their Business lunch this week - 115 dirhams for sharing starters and a main each. Every dish was delicious, particularly the mushrooms and the sushi (or course!). Such good value, beautiful terrace and the service was great too. Would absolutely return for lunch and hopefully dinner next time!

Good location, attentive staff, and good food. Roka has its own dedicated elevator from the street level.We had the set menu; it was very good. But we were kind of surprised that soft drinks were not included in the set menu. For that price, soft drinks should be included.

Our first visit to Roka today and we can’t wait to come back again. Located in the Level 1 of the sleek Opus by Omniyat, Roka is a Japanese restaurant and bar. The venue has great interiors and the outdoor terrace is perfect for al fresco dining. We tried their lunch set menu that they offer on weekdays and it is AED 115 per person which is a great deal. Everything we tried was excellent. We also ordered Japanese cheesecake and cocktails. Both were good. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the service was top notch. Roka comes highly recommended.

A recent arrival to the fusion Japanese food scenery in Dubai. Sister #restaurant of Zuma with overlapping dishes. Best dish was the bone marrow. Sushi was of high quality. Service was professional and friendly. Overall experience Excellent. One point that I do not understand is how it is going to compete with sister restaurant since both serve the same cuisine.

The food was decent though it did not live up to my expectations. The ambiance was quite nice and the staff really polite. The yellow tail maki roll and the wagyu A5 prime was delicious however the black cod was chewy that did not sit well with me. I would consider this a poor mans Zuma

Tried ROKA for lunch on a weekday. Nice set menu with good variety of choices. Service is quick and friendly. A table outside on the balcony is the way to go! The honesty truth it is like many of the Dubai DIFC restaurants... same sort of food and prices, always top end, but thats what you come to expect in dubai.

Solid Japanese restaurant. The sushi and nigiri are top notch. Their service is attentive and the ambience is low light lounge style. Definitely order the mushroom hot pot if youre looking for umame, and pair it with the warm sake. The cheesecake is an excellent conclusion to a great meal here. Recommended!

Ambience:Gorgeous place. The hotel Roka is located at is one of my favorite designs as the Architect is one of my most favorite architects.The interior of the restaurant is very charming. The outdoor terrace has a fabulous view of down town and Burj khalifa. We enjoyed a Friday brunch here. Located in a beautiful building designed by Zaha Hadid, The Opus in Business Bay.A fairly small venue however there was an amole variety of dishes and they were all great. Very similar to Zuma.Service was great and overall a good experience.

Great place with most dishes very good like aubergine starter, yellowtail sashimi. OK gyoza. Had a Maki chimashi, too salty and the rice hotpot with Japanese mushrooms and truffle doesnt reflect the quality of the price. Average taste and no truffle flavor. Didnt like the dry chocolate matcha filled desert and the below average ice cream. Reception lady had the tonality and conversation manner of a supermarket check out employee. Table service very good by a lady who looked Spanish.

This place is pumped with the positive energy, an energy created by the good food and the amaizing service, each dish is an experience from the simple Iceberg salad to the black cod.

When we arrived we werent sure what to think. Cant place what it was, however, once we were upstairs and as time went on whilst we were sat at the kitchen table, this place got better and better.The staff were fantastic. Very helpful and made great suggestions.The food was really great. The lamb was the best ive ever had.My wifes salmon was wonderful even though she had it medium-well.The rest was all very good. Great taste.Overall a really great experience and one we hope to repeat again in the future. Definite 5 stars. Couldnt fault it really.

Japanese Robatayaki cuisine cooked to perfection! We had the tasting / sharing menu, so we got to sample most things on the menu. There was nothing that left me disappointed. The sashimi was fresh and perfect and the beef and especially the lamb chops were cooked to perfection. The staff were very attentive and helpful with the menu selection with great recommendations. A really enjoyable meal and I will go back, but will probably order from the A la Carte menu, as the tasting menu had a lot of food!

Having dined at Roka numerous times in the past, I was extremely pleased to find the same amazing atmosphere, friendly staff and exceptional food quality! The service was quick and it wasnt long before all of our many dishes had been brought to our table. I have to be honest, it didnt take long before they were taking away the empty plates again.Particular favourites were the Beef Fillet, the Salmon Tartare, the Wagyu Tartare Maki and the Crunchy Banana Puffs from the dessert menu.We will definitely be back to try out more from the menu.

A contemporaneous version of the iconic Zuma. Id say I probably like it better here view wise (Set against the imposing Executive Towers) and general sense of arrival (in a Zada Hadid building) & probably half the price for the same goodies.

Fantastic place, worst call center to make a reservation. Not once have i called and someone answered. First time it happened i thought they were busy, happens every single week where your on hold for at least 45 minutes even on a lazy Sunday. Their is just never anyone next to the phones, all my friends complain about the same issue. Shame

Excellent restaurant for Japanese cuisine. Staff is super nice & courteous. Great outdoor seating. We were there for their business lunch on a weekday & thoroughly enjoyed. We got to taste 4 fantastic starters veg / non veg, with a main course.Only drawback is the Veg Main Dish. It was Tasteless& dry( assorted vege with rice) Hope they had atleast 2options to choose from compared to the 3 for non vegetarians.We happen to order cheesecake with icecream (separately) for desert and it was fab.

The only reason I would rate the business lunch a 4 ( as opposed to 5) is that I felt the portions were small whereas I expected bigger portions. They could have been a bit more generous by maybe adding a small portion of edemame or a miso soup.However, the quality of food, service and ambience is excellent. The desserts were superb especially the toffee pudding.

Didn’t really understand why this place has been popular. Sushi was ok, not specially tasty.Very little portion for the price.Maybe balcony area has nice view. The thing is we obviously booked a table in the balcony, but they put us inside by their mistake. They didn’t admit it was their fault, while it was bday party for 2 of us.And it was really busy so after 2hrs reservation, they had to rush us to leave the table.Well.. the only good thing about this place was male waiters have good looking. If you look for a restaurants &bar with nice view+nice time+nice food, then there are many others in Dubai.

Tried the business lunch today for AED 115 which included 4 starters and a main course (additional AED 29 for dessert which was worth it).Grilled chicken with chilli and lemon was good and the lamb cutlets were delicious (had a good kick with spices).Had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was delicious.Customer service by Sara was excellent.Although the restaurant was busy, the staff was very attentive.

Third & final visit. Good food & ambience, just not up to the service of other leading Dubai restaurants. My client was refused a glass of Prosecco 15 minutes before the end of our 2 hour slot because of fears that we would outstay our allotted time. We experienced appalling treatment by Rokas Restaurant manager who made no apologies and reluctantly approved a final glass although by that time we all just wanted to pay the bill & leave. What could have and should have been a nice meal ended up as a bitterly disappointing experience.

I dont usually review restaurants but that one is worth it.So ROKA is my All-time Favorite restaurant. My boyfriend and I have tried most of the Japanese restaurants in dubai and whenever a new one opens, were the first to book and try but aint nothing close to you guys. From the sashimis freshness to the last bite of desert we take. Besides the extraordinary food, comes the super lovely staff and trust me, weve been to ROKA so many times and everytime he wants to see me smiling, he takes me there; and everytime we go there Im more impressed whether the girls at the reception or the guys at the bar or the waiters, the runners, they are all lovely and hard working people.. my personal favorite is Kila who always succeed to make our experience beautiful.Keep up the great work guys.See you in a couple of days💕

The place is lovely and the service is professional. However at the end of it I feel my taste buds are not mature to appreciate the food as much as I had hoped. Please ignore the the feedback of the not so lovely ladies next to our table last Friday that complained about your brunch concept. We experienced fantastic service, great food, loved the option to have a brunch with a flexible starting time.The only annoying part, which was not your fault, was the table next to us who complained for hours and extremely passionately about the restaurants brunch concept.
