Awesome Tamil cuisine restaurant. I am from Kerala, India and this is place to go for me to get authentic Tamil food. I suggest their Biriyani combo for dinner. It comes with an awesome chicken biriyani, chicken curry, chicken fry, gulab jamun, raitha and lemon mint juice. I have tried their dosas and they tastes very good. Onion oothappam is my another favourite. The chutneys along with these are all heavenly.

Amazing authentic South Indian flavoured foods, especially I like mutton dishes in anjappar and they never disappoint me!Ambience was OK very small place to dine in apart from that food is very good. Try to dine in here instead of take away few times I ordered since its taking more time to deliver food tastes not good. Always go to dine in

Best Tamil restaurant near Dubai Marina/ JLT side for sure. Had a really tasty Onam Sadya & have always enjoyed their food. Sometimes they have specials during Eid like Deer, really rare and interesting.

I love and enjoy the food, will come back again soon. They have a very hospitable service crew. I recommend this restaurant. Clean and nice ambiance.

This is my second visit to this restaurant in about a months time and im dissppointed already and i take back the review that i posted earlier. They served biryani in seeraga samba rice last time and it was good and this time it was in basmati rice. The mutton biryani looked and tasted old. The inconsistency is something to be worrid upon. Well well !! Lets talk about the hygiene part, the restroom was a mess and definitely not to a restaurants standard at all. Hope the management takes hygiene on priority.

Had tried their meal for 2 for the first time. Ample quantity and we couldnt finish nearly half of the food and kept it for dinner..spicy biriyani and a lemon mint to finish the meal... Loved it.. Yummy

Wonderful and favorite Tamil Nadu / South Indian non veg restaurant. Foods no doubt tasty as always.Newly added combo options are worth for money. V tried Indian non veg combo, Briyani combo, value meal, chicken kothu Parota and tandoori chicken lolly pops were really yummy.

Very bad delivery service, extremely lethargic response and poor respect for customer. Let me briefly explain, I had ordered biriyani and they told me it will reach with in 40mins, after 1hour I called them and enquire about the status they said it’s on the way and they will call the driver. After 1hr 30mins I again called to enquire about the status they said they will call the driver and get back to me, I even warned them I won’t pay if it’s not delivered within 10mins, but they didn’t call to inform the status. Being extremely neglected with no response I finally called them after 2hrs to convey my extreme frustration to which they didn’t even apologize. Final verdict - Quality of food is only appreciated if it’s delivered on time, to which Anjappar @ Discover Garden terribly failed!

Bad housekeeping, toilet 🚽 hand wash area is very worst condition more than public toilets, too bad smell. Cleanliness gives pleasure. Spoiling Dubai standards

Chettinad style Tamil restaurant.. A bid expensive..

We had chosen to go Anjappar was a reason- Would like to taste the chettinad dum briyani as well as some of the non-veg items. Being in Dubai can have the similar chettinad experience in the restaurant this is what they have promoted their restaurant. We as Dubai Residents especially North & South Indians would like to have a typical experience of Chettinad and would like to have an authentic food from their genuine restaurant. Not only for Indian, also for Foreigners who would like to taste the south Indian food Unfortunately, we lost our appetite, flavor and quality of food were indeed not up to even 15% satisfaction. This will definitely make the restaurant name further down if they continue to provide this kind of service. We ordered mutton dum briyani, but we found the mutton inside the briyani were used for Mutton Khorma, not dum briyani mutton (attached picture will give you a clear view). They removed chicken and added khorma mutton. Rather they should have told mutton briyani finished or they should have offered chicken briyani. Even we found chicken piece inside the mutton briyani. What if the Guest requested for allergen or gluten free food if they do this kind of service or practice, how we trust them? Cleaning & Sanitation must be improved, they were very far away, no one noticed when we go for- hand washing not done as clearance guy also serving food and wiping plates, plates deemed not dish washed as it smells briyani even after cleaned plates placed on the table. Customer wouldnt know whether all contamination/microorganism ingested through food and too many health issues related to this after this experience and we realized later when it diagnosed. Rest room was disaster, even no tissue paper. Too crowd during weekend or new year, too much customers, restaurant was so busy, people were queuing to get a seat. Good business, but bad service, bad quality of food, no worth for money value. If they want to retain the reputation, business and customer, they have to improve a lot. Though Dubai Municipality is introducing lot of food safety awareness program to ensure the Dubai resident health & safety, but the restaurant not taken any steps to improve. All the points have been discussed with their Cashier the lady and a waiter as well. This message is for them to improve to avoid disappointing the customers who trusted for their product/service and quality. I hope they will take very seriously to improve further.

Food is of poor quality and it is same as every day they do not have much varieties. Do not go for monthly mess Im not satisfied with their food menu.

The worst hotel ever.....I ordered and my food came after 2hours 30 mins....and the hotel managers blamed on delivery guy...when the delivery came he proved that he got the food just 20 mins back and I stay in JVC... I gave back the food and will make sure I never ever order from this worst restaurant ever and will make sure my colleagues and my family and friends will also never order from this place...Worst attitude and worst people to deal with.

I have ordered Idli, Vada & Sambhar today morning around 9.55 am to discovery garden branch. They told me expected time 40 min. I have waited for 1 hour 5 min but no delivery till 11 am. I called restaurent and enquired about said timeline. Guy at phone then replied me that promissed 40 min was minimum time to deliver.He has no concerned for delay. Finally, I have received order in 1 hour 30 min. Although I had already mentioned for sambhar in sufficient quantity keeping previous bad experience in mind but still got Sambhar only sufficient for one plate and I had ordered for 3 plates. I have pictures but I am not finding any way to attach here. You can suggest me.

Disappointed. Had visited their namesake in California and had been really excited to find their branch here. Tried Veg as well as Non Veg. Only the coffee was good.. saw a most people ordering Chinese food.. so don’t know about that..

The most horrible experience from a customer service perspective. Ordered a food at 11.45 through Zomato and did not receive it for 2 hours. The restaurant and valet to deliver were lying amongst each other and gave the most horrible service. Will never again recommend or use their services again.

The current menu and offers are really good. There is new menu for bachelors(mess). It’s 599 for a month they will deliver food at your doorstep 3 times per day. I really like the taste of the food. They are doing better now a days.

Nic south Indian food.....

Visited anjappar in discovery gardens last night with friends and ordered 1 chicken biriyani, egg fried rice, mutton chukka and idiyappam. Since we wr full, we packed the leftover fried rice and biriyani. This morning wen i opened the pack, there were small cockroach like insects in the biriyani box. Last night we did not notice this and had our dinner there. It was really a bad experience and will never visit anjappar in any corner of the world ever again.

I had ordered for vada... The quality was very poor.. Taste was okish.. The texture was so soft.. Not crunchy... Wouldnt recommend someone who wants to eat authentic one.. Sorry but this is my opinion...

Kozhi mizhaku soup was very nice. Nandu soup is also good. Mutton keema dosa and chicken keema dosa both tasted awesome. Biryani was good. Mutton liver masala is very delicious with perfect masala.

Anjappar is famous for South Indian Chettinad food and this variety is extra spicy. Be careful what you order if you why away from spicy!

Good food, I have tried the chicken biryani from here, its nice.

A very well know joint very well known in South India and we decided to try it as we had earlier tried in Chennai. We tried the Karaikudi Chicken Masala which was masala rich and very spicy not much to our liking. Also tried the Mutton Fried Rice and also the Noodles which was very much the ‘Indian’ Chinese that we loved back in India.
