A themed restaurant with house boat and train theme having moving scenery on its windows making u feel you are at the place.I felt the seating is a bit congested to the next table and the table size is smaller. Also felt the cooling could be improved alot. However they have lovely dishes which was tastey. We tried pothi chooru and chicken kaandhari curry and live fish caught from their waters below the boat to have it cooked ur style which we tried thava kaandhari fry style. They also had teastall selling sweets and kulfis n icecreams. A place good for a themed lunch or dinner with family or friends.

Happened to visit the eatery on a sunny day for Kerala meals and it was pretty decent. The interiors are set up in a Kuttanadan style with a huge Kerala houseboat and fancy lights. The guests have the opportunity to sit inside the house, which is pretty amusing; however, you can sit outside the boat as well. We ordered fish curry meals, and everything served to us was good. The portions are fair, and the taste was good too.

The main attraction is arrangement of tables and live fish that they placed besides the water . Most of the dining tables are arranged inside an airconditioned fake vanji(boat)and some dining tables are arranged on the top( as seen in the picture ). Customers can choose/catch fish from the water near to this boat and restaurant prepares as per customer’s wish. The main entrance of the restaurant is through the middle of the restaurant which caused to feel the restaurant very congested. The AC outside the boat is not enough and felt discomforting. As we are in Covid 19 situation , Strong recommendation is there to make some changes in the ladder for climbing to the dining area which is located on the roof of the restaurant ( Dining area which isCreated like a hut). Now the climb is too steep and no way to climb without holding the handle. Also the social distancing should be strictly followed . Open AC ducts made a feel that we sit inside an incomplete restaurant . We ordered a normal chicken biriyani and a beef pothi Biriyaani (Railway biriyani). Chicken biriyani was excellent. It felt like a nadan chicken biriyani serves during wedding in malabar. But the beef biriyani was not up to the mark . We felt Rice - meat ratio is not maintained . There are minimum 4-5 pieces of beef and it was served with too much masala. Beef biriyani is not worth the money.

Food was not upto the mark...totally disappointed. Cooling was minimal. We were sweating in betweenBig plus is ambience and interior... something new...other than that nothing to recommend

A perfect cuisine for South Indian people

Refreshingly new concept for a restaurant and loved the food too.

Had a very embarrassing time with these guys they dont even consider the normal customer like us. Me and my friend went there with the family today. We waited for 30mints for getting a place to sit, finally we got one and the writer told to sit there and all. But suddenly some another guy came and told that its booked and all. Such and such rubbish. They served a bunch of people who came after us as we dont have any celebrity status or something we are not getting served as a normal customer its very disappointing thing those guys done. If there is some booking procedures they should mention that.Normally the restaurants and cafeteria are first come first serve else they will mention in some way. As there is no option for 0 star I am giving 1 star rating for them.

Food below average….We order Ummachi kozhi their special as per the waiter but the chicken taste old ... even after we told the waiter, their is no one to come and check or change the dish. Very much disappointed a good looking ambiance restaurant with such irresponsible in the quality food and service.

We are regulars of Abad Plaza, have had many a meals and have quenched many hunger pangs over the many years. They have top quality Kerala cuisine from North till south, each different flavours.This time we ordered their new item on the menu, which was the famous Kotthu parata, but this was not kotthu, here the chicken was wrapped in parata and cut into 4 slices. Typical taste, loved it.My wife ordered their Puttu, with squids, this was one of their best selling item. We have ordered this many a time and have enjoyed this, the squid curry, embedded inside. simple dish, that packs a power punch with its spice levels.

Very tasty vegetarian food.especially if you like south India food. Good variety and tasty dosas and tasty vegetarian dishes. Well recommended. Very good ambience. Language is a problem with a few of the waiters (who default to speaking in Tamil with everyone). But they are friendly and courteous. Definitely worth visiting.

Guys, visit Vanjippura for their SEAFOOD POTHICHORU. its awesome. Also the lunch meals are good. Their vallam themed ambience is super special and will give you a taste of Alappuzha house boats...especially the windows are equipped with LED TVs which displays the views of Alappuzha kayal, will give you a feel that you are in a house boat. Minor cones: less spacious, small tables but that wont take anything from the good food they serve..

Made the unfortunate decision of visiting this place after seeing the favorable review by an influencer. This is the honest review of a paying customer :The good : 1. ambiance , the interior is modeled in the make of a scene from kerala, with water and fish , houseboat , trees and leaves.The bad :1. food : The special items shown by the influencer was not available. SO it was basically a ploy to get customers by giving incomplete information. The hot & sour chicken soup was bland and tasteless. The kerala fish fry meals ordered for two was less in quantity and was just passable. nothing to boast or boost. Pothichor was just a mess of whatever they could find leftover in the kitchen. (Sorry - when I pay 15 aed for one item, you can give me an entire omlete) And it lacked one essential ingredient - salt !So once you can mix it all up, the taste is ok.2. NO DRINKING WATER : the first thing given in any place is a glass of water. Even after asking twice, we were not given water , on a hot summer afternoon. No sarbath , so we ordered lime juice , served with straws that had holes !3. Customer Service : the food was late, the service was poor. No hand wash, no tissue. The people were disorganized and lacked basic efficiency and even basic courtesy.Summary : Give this place a royal miss. It is not worth your time or MONEY !

In general your food and ambience is good in Al Nahda br). Specially beef varieties. However, today we ordered vanjipura special beef , mutton kanthari & Chicken ully curry. Mutton only had chilly flavor and Beef was very watery with no flavour.Both Mutton and beef were not good . Chicken was very nice.

Im from NMC n we had orderd schizwan chiken fried rice today afternoon , after one hour he came with different food (beef fry) n we told that we got different food n he went backafter an hr with a full n full oil normal egg n carrot fried rice, but i had orderd schizwan chiken fried rice.
