Im not sure why it is so difficult to get hold of someone over the phone in consulate. All phone calls are gone unanswered. Looks like the busiest office in entire world as one single staff doesnt have time to attend for calls

Rates 1 star because cant go lower.Very poor crowd control, no covid precautions or safe distance protocol.Careless security who is busy on his phone.Employees are clueless about queries and not paying attention to questions.Conusate is crowded and a COVID risk.Lack of customer service as the customer service representative literally ignored me during our conversation and answered the phone call. Guess the call was more important than my need to enquire (not apply) to a certain service which would be easy to give.

Worst Embassy in the world.1. No document tracking process (Online Tracking)2. NO usage of IT at all - No one knows where are the documents3. Phone answering is Zero (always busy tone and no one picks)4. Very poor service5. Poor Communication skills. (Dont know how to speak to people)6. No proper rules and regulations during Covid19.7 Poor Infrastructure including toilets8. Security guys blindly issue tickets without knowing which counter suites us9. and many more.

Ok so not only this embassy doesn’t answer phone calls and don’t care about the Sri Lankan people it’s supposed to serve but also deletes reviews! What happened to the review I saw 2 days ago?I need to go my home country and how can you stop me from doing so? This is the worst representation of the Sri Lankan people ever! It is such a shame, the staff who works there behave like typical srilankan government officers. Peoples who coming from very far to short it out the issues, but they are really bad in treating. I was shocked, In UAE there working like this! , Its un exceptable. I wish recruit some professionals and maintain the embassy neat amd tidey with token systems, arrange propper seating for every individuals who came for there issues. There are many people out of the embassy to finalise somany issues but authorities never concern about it, If you cant do please hand over to private agencies, they will do better. Poor service we know we dont have option apart of this embassy. Or devide 7 embassy for each Emirates.

I am now 3 months pregnant and waiting to go to my country Sri Lanka. I am not allowed to work when I’m pregnant and I do not need to suffer this way to go back to my country which I pay taxes and have helped with foreign exchange for more than 15 years. This is the ONLY country that blocks its own citizens from returning! NO OTHER COUNTRY DOES IT. Sri Lankan embassy doesn’t even pick up the phone, I was on hold for 2 hours every day for 5 days and NO body picks up the phone. This is embarrassing and appalling how we are being treated and stranded in a foreign country. NO OTHER embassy has ever done this. I have applied and waited for the approval to go back home to have a house for the past 2 months. The WORST EVER REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE AND GOVERNMENT OF Sri Lanka in Dubai. People and the world must know how we are treated. We are not allowed in to our own countries being pregnant, I’m expected to sleep on the streets! There’s not even a single response from the embassy! Shame !!! How can some embassy control its people going into their country with no place to live and let people be stranded like this, with no communication whatsoever when I’m in this condition. I’m am so disgusted and speechless!

One of the best Consulates I have seen provided the service they deliver with the resources they have. Official line is only answered during the working days, so contact them ahead and all the inquiries are answered asap. Official working times are 8.30am to 1pm Dubai from Monday to Friday. Parking is limited best option is use a public transport.

It is not well organized placed . specifically now a days with COVID. There is no temperature check. No social distances . No responsibility at all with COVID situation management in side the for visitors. All act like normal situation in side the consulate now days. I did see any any hand sanitizer as well. Completed the SLFEB stamp renewal within 15-20mins on a Friday morning. Aed70 fee (Lkr3200). Need to fill one form, give copies of passport photo page and latest uae residence visa page and original passport. Very simple process and excellent courteous service.My advice to people who comment that no one picks up the phone is to either email or send a msg on the embassy Fb page/messenger in order to receive feedback within 1-3 days. There are no dedicated call operators in the embassy as far as I observed so won’t be easy to get through as daily operations at the embassy are very busy.At this time there’s a dedicated area for people who want to go back to SL in charted flights where one can get info and get registered. Also lunch donations were being given to needy people. Well done!

It took only 35 minutes for submitting my details for renewal of my passport. They returned my original passport; once they provide New passport they will cancel the old one. Ms. Nadeeka - counselor was so helpful to me.Electronic signature is not acceptable on the forms.

They are working on Fridays and not working on sundaysTake all the neccassary documents original and copy with you. Then you can do the needful easily with any issues.Also take plenty of coins. Everytime you take printout you have to insert one Dirham coin.

Very efficient!!Was there for an affidavit required for a house maid visa application. Job was done in less than 30 minutes, the process was simple and from the receptionist to the authorising / issuing officer all were friendly and helpful.

If you would like to go back to 70s or 80s, you should def visit this place as they dont use the computers. They only have those ancient times book keeping system for all records and they even dont have a card swiping machine. Be prepared, its been 2 months and I havent got my renewed passport yet. It would spoil the image of our country. In sri lanka its a bit modern but away they are still thinking its 1985.

Today I had call them around 12:15pm to get some information as I am staying in Ajman its very difficult me to do travelling, if I miss any documents I am unable to get back again on time. The person who answered the call was very unprofessional, he did not give any attention to me and was chatting with someone else and without even answering question he bang the phone, after that I tried 6 attempt but no one pick the line. Anyway its very disappointing please teach some basic telephone manners to your operators and this not the first time I have experienced similar issues. Please ask them to give some respect to Sri Lankans.
