If I can give zero rate I would do! Very terrible experienced!I have waited more than 3month since April 2021 no one contacting me here in UAE of what is the status of the money taken from my account without my consent. I keeping calling them to chase it but keep telling to wait same same info, NO PROGRESS! Among all banks in as suggested by a friend that I must open an account with UBL but big regret they didnt secure my hard earned money. UBL is a worst bank I ever encounter in my whole life!

Lady sitting on reception desk at the entrance was too busy on wats up all the time , didn’t bother to see customers, security gaurd was taking care of customer & teller service.The process of opening an NRP account in UBL seems too cumbersome as the Bank asked for so many documents as campared to UAE banks where opening an account is smooth & steadfast, so I left my plan of opening NRP account in UBL.

Pathetic customer service ever came across. Had a very bad experience, no one answers your call at the reception desk & no reply on the follow up emails.Secondly, you will be asked to fill a bunch of forms for the new account opening which takes minimum an hour to complete the details which is insane.Overall bad experience. 👎👎

Extremely slow service. No value for customer’s time. Have been waiting for more then 10 minutes, there is only one teller attending to a customer since before I came in with about 7 people waiting in the queue but NO, they will not consider opening another teller counter to ease up the waiting period.

Part-II live in Dubai and wanted to open an account with UBL, two months back I visited UBL Sheikh Zayed road branch near Sharaf DG metro for account opening, I had my all documents with me including salary certificate Emirates ID and passport, the account opening lady said they also require tenancy contract saying it’s a central bank requirement. I have my accounts with Emirates NBD and ADCB two top banks of UAE and none of them demanded the tenancy contract. We all know that many of the residents are sharing the apartments and not everyone has tenancy contract on their name. One more thing I was asked to get a letter from my company stating that I am living in company’s accommodation. Wow, why should I ask for a fake letter by the way?Part -II: yesterday I called UBL helpline to know about account opening requirements again thinking they might have changed the requirements and helpline said “No, there’s no tenancy contract requirement, visit the branch and if the bank representatives ask the same again, just give us a call”. I also asked helpline to provide me contact number of the branch so that I can confirm the requirements over phone. Helpline provided 2 contact numbers, and I made multiple attempts but no one answered. I was left with no other choice to visit the branch again, the receptionist lady said we only need salary certificate Emirates ID passport n Visa copy and nothing else. Manager reported the same requirements as mentioned in part 1of my experience shared above.I must say UBL is the worst bank I ever visited, I will register my complaint with UAE central bank as well as Citizenship portal of Pakistan’s Prime Minister.

Tezraftar is a good way to send money to Pakistan. Transfer can be done via ATM once you set up account.

When I approached the customer service after being called for my number. I informed the lady of what is my inquiry. Before answering my question, she answered her desk phone and started navigating thur their system with the individual on the other line. She kept me hanging for 5-7 mins, I kept on looking at my watch just to show her tha I’m still in front of her. when she was finished with the call she said they dont offer that service anymore. It would be nice to address the initial request first and not keep your clients waiting.

Its a good bank at good location, just 2minutes walking distance from Albarsha metro station. Staff is cooperative. You juat need to follow the timings. Get the ticket and wait for your turn. You wpuld be served within good time. Parking sometimes creates problem but after 7 pm you usually get it easily. But parking is paid so becareful and dont forget to parking ticket.
