Very delicious Indian food !I’m not the fun of Indian street food ,but after my experience here - I never gonna said this again !The location is nice if you come by car- the parking is on the opposite side from entrance .If you come by metro - you have to get the taxi from the metro station to D3.The interior of restaurant is really colourful and full of the details .Big windows make this place very bright .About the food - it’s fantastic ,I advise to try butter chicken and curry with prawns(this is a heaven for the vegetarian )Also there are various of salads and meat and desserts and so tasty lemonades ( for those one who loves the passion fruit - try the passion fruit lemonade ❤️)They have an open kitchen- which is really cool ,you can see everything .

♥️An Incredible experience and delicious food!If you are looking for a luxury dining place which designs on top-notch Indian street food concept then you should look no further than Mohalla in D3.Mohalla, which means to “my neighbourhood” or “my community”. This homegrown’ restaurant plates up Indian street food with genuine mastery.Who says great tasting food cannot be healthy??? The health quotient is something which everyone has seriously taken into consideration at Mohalla they do take care of your well-being. They create traditional authentic food with balanced nutritional, high-quality ingredients, lighter cooking technique and with no preservatives, food colouring, artificial sweeteners and taste enhancers. All In one a fresh take on traditional Indian food, not too heavy & oily just amazing flavour with a modern presentation. We were totally swayed away with the vibes of this place. The restaurant is very well designed and looks very attractive. Interiors are tastefully done to suit the urban concept including the furniture. The Seating arrangement is super comfortable. The lighting design and placement will definitely catch your attention. The menu has an abundance of lip-smacking indulgence which showcases the superlative Indian food flavour.Moved on to the food. We started with Botanical Berries Ale & Citrus lemonade such relief to quench the thirst in this scorching weather.Staters we had – Avocado Papdi chaat, Tepla Taco with Jackfruit, Chilli Paneer with Noodles & Crispy Kale Chaat. All of these nicely presented and being fantastically appetizing. Very flavourful It did not have an overload of masala which kills its simplicity in a lot of Indian restaurants. It was good that we had a large appetite that day for the dinner because what followed was very flavoursome. In Main we had Gobi Tikka Masala & Corn Cheese kofta along with breads. In Gobi Tikka masala- Whole tandoor roasted cauliflower was cooked and served with tomato gravy. It was really delicious we never had something like this before. Corn Cheese kofta with naan was awesome with its slight thick gravy feel on the tongue. 🤤We ended the feasty evening with a desert called Mango cake- ⭐️of the show- it was actually fresh mango cut julienne and draped in the goodness of cream with crumbled cake adding the right crunch to a dessert. Still can’t get over it. Again, here we must complement the chef to have kept the originality of the dishes intact. The staff were courteous, patient and helpful. The service timing was well spaced out and the table was never empty. Specially mentioned Ashok was very helpful explaining us about the ingredients and suggesting the options. An exquisite and lovely end to the beauty engagement of food and hospitality.Highly recommend♥️

@d3 Mohalla is a great place for Indian food. Menu covers pan India dishes.Chota bhook/ small portions is innovative take on street food and nicely done and presented. Tried vada pav and crispy corn in this section.Badi bhook/ main course/big portionsIs also very interesting and tasty food. Tried mohalla dal, veg chowmin, cauliflower dish- gobhi tikka masala.malabar roti and tandoori roti in breads. The spice or the heat is well managed and appealing to larger audiences.it’s pretty mellowed and nice on pallet.one can relish the food.Ambience is nice and calm. Lot peaceful.Staff was friendly and attentive.Cheers

First time in this little gem restaurant, called Mohalla. Completely new experience about street Indian food turned fine dining - their Crispy Crab tacos were the most delicious I have ever tasted - crispy and jusy. I couldnt stop eating also the crispy corn - what a delight for the taste buds. And finishing with a sweet explosion in my mouth - out of this world coconut ice-cream. Definitely, Definitely will recommend to everyone this restaurant and for sure will go back again and again and again......

Amazing modernized Indian cuisine the portions are not huge.... you get the tapas feel and it’s nice to be able to try different dishes what amazes me is that I didnt see any oiliness or grease and still get the authentic taste.. shout out to Bhrat for the hospitality and even went above and beyond to explain the history of some of the dishes.

Surprised as lot of restaurants in D3 have closed down however glad to find Mohalla, great service team, good food and lot of parking space on a Friday night. Cozy Outdoor seating , and one of thr last day’s before hot and humid weather sets in.Had missed out on their 7 course 4 hands collab with Chef Akmal earlier which was a limited 2 night event and wanted to try out this place. We settled just for starters and desserts all of them served in good portions and a brilliant take on classical Indian food.Would wait for the next collab to happen, hope happens soon.

Have you been to Mohalla yet? It’s one of the newest additions to the eateries located in Dubai Design District, and truly lives up to its name that translates as “neighborhood” in Hindi. This one transports you into the bustling streets of India, and spoils you with a variety of flavors too irresistible to miss. Honestly, it’s very seldom that I go to this side of the city, mainly because it’s located far from where I work, but I was really very happy to see how busy the place was on a Saturday afternoon when I did happen to drive down there. I, along with a friend, went for an early lunch so it was around 2 o’clock when we arrived and the place was already 80% occupied with just two vacant tables, one of which was reserved for us. Imagine how glad I was to have made a prior reservation! The staff of Mohalla was extremely courteous; we were greeted by a gorgeous girl, Aditi, who assisted us with the menu as there were some new additions on it. Moreover, as this was our first time dining at Mohalla, I wanted to play safe and decided to order some basic starters, which were namely Chilli Baby Corns, Prawns Poha and Prawn Chop Suey. All of these three sounded very interesting and were listed as their new additions, and each one of them blew my mind away! Anyone who knows me closely knows that I am a corn addict, and literally I had never had such delicious Chili Baby Corns in my life at any Indian Chinese place ever! I’d therefore highly recommend this small bite to all corn lovers. The Prawn Chop Suey too was a very soulful dish. The balance between sweet and sourness of the Chop Suey gravy and the quantity of prawns, everything was perfect and absolutely worth every penny. We also got to try the Sour Mango Wings which were served as a very good portion. The pricing was pretty decent too, so if you like raw mangoes do go for it.Moving on, we were already so full with starters/appetizers by the time it was time to order main courses, so we opted for only two dishes that were Mutton Biryani and Prawn Curry. Both arrived as generous serving and very different than the other. The Prawn Curry was served with glass noodles which we found to be absolutely brilliant, while the mutton meat of the aromatic biryani was so tender that we didn’t have to make a lot of efforts to break it off the bone.To end the hearty meal on a sweet note, we had some Kulfi with Mango, which turned out to be yet another delightful offering at Mohalla. So, overall it was a very pleasant dining experience and I cannot wait to be back again to treat myself to more items from their delectable Indian Chinese menu. The restaurant is open 7 days a week and they start operations at noon till late in the night. I’d advise to make reservations whenever you plan to go, and don’t forget to share your experience with me after dining there!

If you love indian food with little modern ting this is a apt place to check out. I tried few of their dishes which were drool worthy. One thing I liked in particular was the rustic ambience of the place which quite desi. I tried 2 of their mains both of which had me from the first bite. Definetly recommend their *Chicken balls in coconut gravy*.It had a sweet taste to it with the rich flavour of coconut which blended in quite well with the warm and juicy chicken balls. To end your meal I definetly would suggest you to try out their filter coffee as it is quite authentic in terms of taste. All in all it is 10 on 10 fine dining restaurant, easily comparable to the restaurant greats like tresind and farzi cafe with a great ambience to enjoy a meal...RatingTaste- 5/5Staff- 5/5Value for money - 4/5

A hidden gem that we tried out a lil while back is @mohallarestaurant In the middle of bustling Dubai design district D3, it’s actually a quaint little place with a gorgeous outdoor sitting (hint for the last few days in this winter). It’s desi Indian food, with quite a few street food options; though in a very modern and urban setup. The menu is extremely well done with something for everyone.. the chicken roll wrapped in newspaper made us reminisce of Calcutta park street rolls (we will definitely do a post for that too). We tried the vegetable maggi, solkadi, pani puri, Tender Kabab Chicken, Chilli paneer and Kulfi with Falooda; this is back when we didn’t have the restraint to click each dish before digging in 😂😂 and therefore not all dishes captured in pictures.. but we shall be back.. lots more to conquer 😎🦸🏻‍♀️🦸🏻‍♀️.....#foodie #mydubai #vegetarian #me #love #sisterlove #FoodBandits #sharjah #jbr #dubaimarina #jlt #InstaDubai #FoodBlogger #eeeeeats #FoodieDubai #UAEblogger #igersDubai #zomatouae #dubailife #dubaieats #dubaifoodbloggers #designdistrict #d3

We discovered this Indian mohalla/community style food haven just by chance. We wanted to finish off our evening by some desserts and chanced upon this busy place with a laid back charm. It was thronged by the local Emiratis, who are very fond of Indian food culture. We found a large outdoor seating area with small shrubs and plantain trees, some old iconic mo-bikes and rustic machineries thrown about in semi darkness.

Food no doubt is delicious, i tried Mutton Kheema and Mutton biryani. I really felt the Indian taste when i had the first bite of kheema as well as biryani. They served boondi raita aling with the biryani and one gravy too both of them tasted really nice. The reason for my 4* is because of their prices. The prices are very very high compared to other Indian restaurants. Charging AED 28 for a bottled water is craziness. If they work on their prices, i think this will be one of the best Indian restaurant. There was some construction going in front of the restaurant too.

Tried the new business lunch menu along with the ala carte menu and without a doubt I will be coming here again. The food was superb especially their Deccan Biryani and Fish Curry. The place was busy as well unlike a few restaurants where there is no vibe or ambiance. Would surely suggest this place to people who want good Indian food at a reasonable price. At first I wasn’t sure if this place will be able to survive for long as D3 is not a ideal location but after a few years this place has just become more busier and popular.I love the wall art, the chic decor and of course the food, I have recently heard that they have even introduced some Indo-Chinese dishes which I am yet to try but going by the pictures it looks delicious.Due to covid they have had the chance to introduce a home delivery options and the big plates are sending in some great glass containers which you can keep as well, the packaging is superb and my guests enjoyed the food. The chef is a genius and most of the dishes I tried were pretty amazing, I am sure many would enjoy the food. For more reviews follow me on Instagram @Sana and my website Sana.ae
