Decent enough Greek restaurant though a little off the beaten track with its own perhaps slightly modern slant on Greek staples.It must be mentioned that the bread and dip served right at the start was outstanding.On the starters, the Tzanziki was excellent with toasted Pita and the Taramasalata tastes home made and cleverly coupled with garlic bread to enhance its flavour.On the mains however, the Chicken Souvlaki felt wrong in the palate texture wise but the signature Lobster pasta was excellent, if not exactly traditional Greek.Service ranges between a little on the arrogant side to friendly depending on who is serving (no less than 3 different servers attended to the table). Never bad service though.The view of the pool and the Dubai Eye are great if you get terrace or window seating (which I strongly recommended you try to).If youre hankering for a Mediterranean meal and are in the Rixos anyway, then its worth a try but it is pricey.

I have recently started loving Greek food and I am on a spree to try most of the Greek Restaurants the city has to offer. On my quest to find the best Greek food I came across Ammos in Rixos Premium in JBR.The restaurant surely has a island vibe and the food was brilliant, I loved the refreshing Watermelon and Feta salad, the fresh calamari, and the divine Orzo dish served with seafood.The vibe is excellent especially if you come over the weekend, surrounded by the JBR beach and the hotel pool this is a perfect place to go with friends and family.I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is on the lookout for some good food and a fun fact their Greek dessert Portokalopita is the best, I still crave for it.For more reviews follow me on Instagram @sana and on my website Sana.ae

The Ammos Greek Restaurant is located poolside at the Rixos Premium JBR Hotel, when we got there it was super busy at the pool. The restaurant, however, was absolutely quiet and we were seated immediately by the window. We could see view the Bluewaters wheel and the ocean. Considering how loud and busy it was we still felt comfortable. ...

Shrimp Spaghetti has strong seafood taste, if you are not a big fan of such smell/ taste in on your food then dont order it. Linear setup so it has limited space view. Service is good overall.

Went for dinner, food was good. Had the grilled octopus and then the sea bass. The restaurant really feels like your in Greece. The service was good my only issue, is that they forgot my cocktails and I had to remind them about the drinks. And the drinks came after my appetizers

Finally a restaurant that brings authentic Greek food at Dubai! While the menu offers mostly seafood, there are some great meat choices as well. We had several dishes and they were all fantastic-nothing mediocre or “maybe Greek but not exactly”. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and the service was efficient and courteous. There’s no doubt it’s currently the best Greek restaurant in Dubai!

Great restaurant with amazing Greek ambience and food. The food quality is wonderful and is so flavorful. The staff is extremely lovely and friendly. We were treated with a lovely fig cheesecake as we were celebrating our anniversary. This was such a nice gesture from the restaurant and we will certainly go back again to watch the sunset as the view would be a killer from the terrace. Thank you Ammos for the great hospitality and food, you made our night special. The lamb chops, cheese saganaki, grilled octopus and calamari are a must try and the lokomades were super delicious at the end.

. . . Me and my daughter really enjoyed our time at AMMOS. Nice and cozy ambience, mouth watering food, friendly staffs especially Mr. Jeff who always makes sure the were enjoying our time. For starter we ordered Kalamaraki, Feta Tyropita and Ammos Fries. And for the main course I ordered Lamb chop and my daughter ordered Seafood Lenguine. Absolutely delicious! And we got a suprised birthday cake for my daughter too. Thank you Ammos for unforgettable night. We will be back for sure!

Rixos JBR, is a gorgeous property, Ammos, is located next to their fabulous pool & private beach off course. It’s a Greek eatery, massive windows, over looking the beach, a large wooden deck, where you could relax in better weather.So we went for dinner, on a weekday so it was quite, we were told the Friday brunches that only happen in summer are pretty busy & as the weather cools down the dinner time would need reservations.Now let’s get down to the food affair, we were well guided by the staff & went with their recommendation.Started with some Tzatziki, comes with hot pita bread, Tyropita, is my personal favorite, it’s feta wrapped in fillo pastry, on a bed of watermelon. Melitzonsalata, is an eggplant based dip, comes with garlic bread. A bowl of Greek salad, with lots of crunchy veggies, a generous helping of feta & crotons for that extra crunch factor.The star of our dinner, was the fried calamari, they were a generous portion & were so fresh and crispy ! Delicious!For mains, it was simple, a chargrilled sea bass & a baby chicken, this place has a no freeze policy the seafood is fresh and mostly locally sourced.Followed by desserts, the came of a wooden board, a yogurt based pana cotta & some home made ice cream with some crispy nuts stuffed sweet spring rolls on the side.

Food was good. But staff Jam the Filipino guy was unprofessional. We ordered the pasta and there were some noodle are stick together undercook. When we showed him he asked my friend “what do you want”!!! It’s quite unacceptable. Didn’t want to complain to ruin my dinner time.

Its a cozy and romantic place. I just wished they control the people who are smoking. We didnt get to dine when we went there because they stop to serve food at 11pm (it was friday), so we only had a beer to enjoy the nice ambience. Will go back to try the food.

I went there with my 2 year old son and wife they looked at us as trash , we asked for a table and they told us nothing was available so we thought something was not right so we called them an asked for a table an they said they had three tables available , I will not recommend anyone this restaurant, what a shame would of been nice to try it as we seen it online as a good upcoming restaurant! , we ended up going upstairs to luigia and they accommodated us and we had a good timeSo just a reminder it’s not a family friendly place at ammos , I will also contact the hotel GM and discuss it with them

Ammos is located in the Rixos Hotel along the JBR Beach area of Dubai.Not only is the Rixos a beautiful hotel, but it has stunning beach-side views and a cool vacation vibe, which makes the location for this beautiful restaurant perfect!Ammos has a Mediterranean vibe and is primarily a fish restaurant. There are plenty of options to choose from on their menu and they have an extensive wine/beverage list (giving you the perfect pairing to your dish).We visited for a late Saturday lunch and enjoyed freshly cooked seabass and a seafood linguine – both dishes were absolutely delicious and the wine (even though it was the house white) was also fantastic.Overall we would highly recommend and had a very pleasant stay. Came here for the first time tonight. Service started great, it got slower and slower. They werent accepting the Entertainer which is fine because it is a public holiday but they should tell people this when they arrive.My party enjoyed their food but sadly i didnt. The seafood linguine was just terrible. Flavorless and too much pasta, not enough sauce. Very average for an expensive dish. I was very underwhelmed and wont be returning. Although the venue was nice.

Ammos Greek offers a full spectrum of enjoyment for guests during their busy and sunny lunchtime period. The licensed restaurant offers a selection of Greek and other wine. Moreover the decor is reminiscent of some Peloponnese spots With a giant streak of colour provided by an in door Bouganvillea tree. The food is good and enjoyable. It is a modern take on some Greek classics. The rating is based on overall experience which I consider to be quite good. Guests may want to come at lunch time to enjoy the best of the views. I imagine in the evening it lacks a bit of atmosphere.

Quite disappointed with the service and the food today. I have booked for my daughter’s birthday and no one sang for her. The waiter literally put the cake we ordered on the table and went off. Not going again. So pity as it’s used to be my favorite restaurant. Not recommending it at all.

We had no idea that this little paradise even existed in JBR... probably at its best when the weather is cooler because it would be an even better experience to sit outside over looking the clear blue lit up pools...Amazing food and very friendly service.You dont wait long for any of the food items to be brough out, however the rating wasnt given 5 stars because they did forget to bring out my wifes drink...Anyway small thing but overall HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Nice starters. Deconstructed chicken Slovaki was bit dry. They do not have a designated closed area for smokers. Very off putting as customers were able to smoke in the restaurant area. No consideration for kids or people that are pregnant. Ventilation was not working to remove the strong smell of cigarettes

First time visited today ambiance is very nice food is good but not perfect but our waiter was so rude unfriendly coz of his attitude our mood spoiled but we still didn’t complain about him anyone we ask him name I think samion or like that ...

Very beautiful restaurant, cosy beach tavern style with begonville flowers makes you feel you are on a Greek island. Food was amazing, we have tried fava, grilled octopus, tiger shrimps and grilled seabream. Everything was well done, fresh and tasty! Top it with excellent service, highly recommended.

We came here for an evening buffet/brunch. The service was good, but the food was pretty average and I think there are better offerings out there.

Fabulous food. Best meal we have had in dubai. Staff friendly, food healthy but delicious. Very cool and clean. Alex our waiter was brilliant .worth a visit.This is not a fake review as suggested by someone else. I was visiting my daughter in dubai and was there for ladies day. We had lunch about 2pm. It appears people have loved this place or disappointed. Perhaps the management should analyse who was the chef and staff on duty at the poor rating times.........but I will definitely revisiting the place when I come in December.

Best food Greek food Ive taste for a long time.

Was there yesterday for an evening Brunch and can not recommend it at all.The wines in the package are horrible (all of them were sour) and they only serve Heineken bottles, no draught beer. All other spirits are the usual which you get everywhere else, nothing special.Food was acceptable, but you always have to ask the staff to bring more... they took tzatziki back even though we were not done with it.What annoyed me the most was the horrible deep house music which was very loud and did not fit at all. 2 tattooed DJs which were the only ones appreciating their music and bothering everyone with it.Price of AED 445,- is quite expensive for the service, quality of food and annoying music.I will definitely not come back.

A group of friends and I were staying at Rixos and came here to grab coffees. It was very early in the morning and we were the first and only guests. The waiter who took care of our table had a terrible attitude- he was condescending and seemed to be bothered to be assisting us. We placed our orders for lattes and starters, and when I say it took an eternity for us to get our orders I am not joking. I watched the barista make our lattes and set them aside... they must have stood there for a solid 15 minutes before our waiter brought them over. Same goes for our food and bill. I watched all these items set aside, while our waiter seemed to be flirting with a women on the other side of the restaurant or lollygaging around. There is no excuse for poor service, especially when it is slow. Id have been much more understanding of slow service had the restaurant been very busy for breakfast.. but there was not a soul other than us dining. Our drinks and food though were quite tasty .
