I have to admit the katsu curry rice is on point and its really good. Although I find it weird that theres a salad which is not exactly complimentary nor good. The shoyu ramen is the average level and I noticed that the soft boiled egg is not exactly soft. Its more overcooked. Noodles are firm and springy. Overall its hits on some points and miss everything else as a whole. Dont get me wrong this ramen is so far the tastiest I have tasted in Dubai but also at the same time I wish it could be more. The place can be a little bit pricy but overall i have enjoyed the food. Definitely will be back and try their other menu.

Excellent food. We had Maki’s and steak tapanyaki. I wish they offer more choices for dessert. The staff needs serious improvement. For example, the restaurant closes at 12 midnight. At 23:40 we wanted to order something and waiter said cashier is closed. We then saw them accepting order from another customer!

One of the best Japanese restaurants even amongst the Japanese society. Food with genuine taste and Izakaya-ish style lineups are just something which attracts heart of Japanese expats. Conveniently located just next to the Dubai international airport. Good to stop by if you go to or come from the airport!

Really great food, and absolutely amazing service by our waiter Brandon. The sashimi cuts were nice and thick and the rolls were excellent, however the nigiri and sushi were not as good as I was hoping it would be. The otoro in particular was a bit of a let down, especially considering the hefty price tag on it.

Kiku, our favorite Japanese restaurant in Dubai. As soon as the lockdown was over, the first thing we did was to go to Kiku! We went there every other day for at least the first couple of weeks. We’ve missed it so much that we’ve realised we can’t do without Kiku. Kiku is familiar and comfortable. It is so because of the kind, friendly familiar faces of the staff. It has one of the best people in the chain of Le Meridien restaurants and that’s why we always, always go back for more! Thank you Team KiKu!

We had a great experience at Kiku in Le Meridien Hotel Dubai. The fact that the place was packed with Japanese people was a great sign that the food would be authentic. They have a Japanese menu which we did not use (as I couldnt read it) and Teppanyaki tables. Teppanyaki was done to our taste without all that theatrical presentation from the chef. They cooked the food beautifully and we ate it. Simple and delicious. Their mixed pickle plate was excellent and I loved the Kaisou Salad. Overall, we had a lovely experience with good, fresh and delicious food. Next time we will try their sushi selection.

The ambiance at Kikus is awesome. The waiters are helpful and attentive. If you are new to Japanese cuisine, they will assist you in your decision making. The sake was really good and the food was authentic. The menu is quite limited for vegetarian/eggitarian options, though what they have is quite authentic.I had the veg tempura platter which was divine and I enjoyed it soo much that I had another. The quantity is definitely one dish one person, though you can have a variety of items for a sharing table.Having Japanese cuisine with date is definitely an experience and Kikus delivers on that promise.

Awful service. servers seem to just want to go home, it wasnt even closing time yet! the food wasnt too great, the sushi rolls are warm! not good if you’re serving fresh ingredients. dont order the pork and kimchi rice bowl, when they dont have pork, they will substitute with chicken, but thing is, it will have more kimchi and ginger than actual chicken pieces. disappointing.

The staff was lovely but the restaurant has moved from the main hotel building to the upper floor of what I guess used to be a 2-floor bar. You can still smell the cold cigarette. On the food front things aren’t much better. The sushi is badly cut, the miso tastes like it came out of a container, and the grilled mackerel was dry.

Probably my favorite Japanese restaurant in Dubai thus far. They say in Japan, The way to a mans heart is his stomach, and by golly have I fallen for Date-san and his wonderful cooking. Not the international flavor that is so common. I LOVE the Unaju as its done Kansai style with grilled eel instead of the usual variety. If theres any point if improvement, I just wish they had Sapporo beer.

Easily one of the best restaurants in Dubai. Food is excellent and staff are amazing. There is a separate menu of authentic Japanese dishes not listed on the main menu, but its in Japanese. The Sake selection is incredible and they are happy to hold on to any bottle your purchase and dont finish until youre back again, which you will be. They relocated temporarily summer of 2019 and should be back to their original location by August.

To be frank , from what I heard about this restaurant I was expecting a really elegant place with truly authentic Japanese dishes. But I was shocked with weird layout of the restaurant indoors and boring set up in the outdoor area. Though the restaurant was half full and about to close within an hour they gave us the worst table in the restaurant with a very tight space around it. They changed it for us shortly after. The receptionist desk was located at a very strange place ( yes Infront of the main door ) but behind it directly were two main big tables full of guests ?!!!The service was good and curteous however our server didnt seem to know much about the menu and didnt fully understand our requests. The spicy beef ramen was not to my liking at all as it tasted so bitter :( chicken tepenyaki was very bland. Sushi and sashimi were much better , tasty and super fresh but the rice of the nigri was not compact and was falling apart with seconds of holding it.Having lived in Japan for 4 years , i am afraid to say that they could have done much better. Their prices also dont reflect their food and settings.

It will always be my favourite Japanese restaurant to go to because of the good food, good location, and most of all good service. Kiku is one of the 18 restaurants of Le Meridien Dubai and the hotel has a loyalty program which gives you discounts and freebies. SPG card can also give you loyalty points or discounts and some major credit cards so ask your server ahead of time. Hot or cold green tea is served free with your meal and dont miss out on trying their sake for a more enjoyable meal.

Visiting Kiku on Friday was not a good idea. My friend and I were told to wait by the guy in the suits until the table being cleared at Sake Bar. We were not offered to sit anywhere. We were standing for 15min. Finally, a lady came and told us, “sorry we are fully booked”. Come on.... the computer is in front of you!!!!! Just tell us if you are fully booked. Don’t make us stand and wait. If we need to book a table for weekend, then you need to inform that on the website!!!

The service was very professional and efficient yet friendly. The manager, I thought, was very good. The restaurant is temporarily on the top level of a nightclub in the grounds of the Le Meridien restaurant, called The Warehouse which means that the smoke from the level below easily makes its way up the central stairway space which..... I dont like. To be fair, it wasnt bad, but noticeable.Food was fine and good quantity but a little tasteless. The raw fish was flavour - free, and surprisingly the Ramen was very bland so we had to season it and add chilli. To be honest, it was really fine but nothing special and I might visit again but not until it is back to its renovated main location in the main hitrl, and even then only if the ENTIRE restaurant is smoke free.Although as I said, the service was good, there was one small but irritating issue. If you are talking to your companion the waiting staff walk straight up to you and interrupt your conversation - its a common problem, which is simply a lack of training.

Kiku is a truly authentic Japanese experience available in Dubai. Located inside Le Meridian airport hotel its beautifully decorated with many different seating options. The menu is catered to true Japanese cuisine. I got the sushi platter with assorted sushi. It was very delicious and tasted fresh. My only concern on the maxi roll as well as the sushi is that theyve put wasabi on it without my asking. For some people they may not like that and I could see that hindering their meal.
