How useless are these SA authorities everywhere. In South Africa they tell one thing, in UAE the COnsulate + VSF + Embassy I think they do not know what they are doing, what are their proposal, what are their responsibilities AND they do not know read emails and understand what people need!!!! Really, bad people, bad services bad understanding working for SA. Very unqualified entities.

I was late for my appointment due to Google maps taking me to the opposite street. I had to walk around and around, through the metro to cross the street and finally found the consulate. The service was great! They were so helpful even though I was late, they were friendly and told me that it was okay, asked if I struggled to parking. They assisted me outside of my appointment time slot and really made my day better after walking 20 minutes in the heat trying to find the consulate. If you go to the South African Consulate make sure to go to the Dubai Islamic Bank builing in D79 and not the road opposite where there are a lot of shops. If you go to the alley way on the right side of the DIB, you will see an entrance to the building. The South African consulate is on the 3rd floor.

Worst experience!!! The man in charge is very inhuman. He is just useless. Very mean spirited person. I am not surprised. Typical SA service. Very unprofessional and very rude. They should change him and bring another one.

Extremely disappointing service. I have been following up via email for over a week now for an appointment to renew my passport, as I am told that the Consulate no longer accepts walk-ins. The corporate services manager was extremely unhelpful, rude, and unsympathetic and conceded to the Consulate website containing inaccurate documents and contact information. We are all severely impacted by COVID-19, but that should not be an excuse for failing to perform daily duties in an essential service! I can appreciate a slight delay, but one week is simply unacceptable as it also prejudices the timing for processing my application and receiving the renewed passport (a process which currently takes 6 months)!

The go to place for all of your South African legal and residency requirements. The staff there are amazing, super helpful and always ready to assist you with whatever you need from them. Note the opening hours on the website, make sure you bring copies of all your required documents as well as cash for payments (exact amounts). But truly an amazing service from the team there, much respect!

Google maps location is wrong, it’s on the opposite side of the road, use Dubai Islamic Bank as the location and you’ll find it…..

Popped into the consulate today to register my marriage that took place in January of this year and with the strange happenings of 2020 I only found time now. I was assisted by Miss Aisha, so friendly and helpful, it was a pleasure to visit. With her guidance, it was a breeze. Massive thank you Aisha! A credit to the institution.

Typical south African service.Uselesss in SA and transferred that skill to Dubai. They never answer calls, so you have to visit them consulate for for almost everything, and that includes information that could have received telephonically

The staff showed some empathy with the confusing process. If you will use the Metro, closest Metro is Burjuman and exit 1 is the closest to the consulate. South African 🇿🇦 flag is on top of the building. Watch out for it.

I called the consulate several times, every time the phone was answered, staff are very polite and gave me all the information needed.I applied for marriage certificate in Abu Dhabi Embassy, waited 2yrs and got nothing. Spoke with the official there and still no follow up. However I applied in Dubai in July and already received it. Thank you very much to Dubai staff.

Dear South African Consulate General.Im calling for the past 3 days, between 9 to 12 without any luck of anyone answering the phone. Today i called 9 times. How does one obtain information without having to drive down to Bur DXB. I must say the staff is very friendly once you do visit the consulate but its not acceptable to call and not get an reply.Im South African and have some simple questions that i need answers too. Please answer the phone.

I have to say the staff are friendly and helpful, the process of things are very slow, waited 4 months for my new born passport and finally arrange my own courier to collect from South Africa. Also dont expect any one to pick up the phone.

If I could have given no stars that would have been better. Worst place in Dubai. Rude staff and no help at all. Calling them is impossible. You never get an answer. Even on e-mail the response are 0.

They dont answer their phones. Also, you are required to bring your newborn along to get a birth certificate, yet there is no ramp for prams and no changing and feeding room.

Its useless to say they have a consulate in Dubai as No one ever picks up the phone. I guess they no longer operate from Dubai so better to call the Embassy in Abu Dhabi they are very helpful even over the phone information is Crystal clear.
