Kind, courteous, and truly a Canadian experience. No wonder we are known as the kindest nation in the world! Shout-out to Julie who works at the counter. She is the embodiment of what every human should be its sooo obvious that shes Canadian. I knew from my phone call with her that not only was she Canadian and not just working there but also from my hometown. Thanks for all your help.

Very rude and unhelpful operator definitely not a good look for such a devloped country. It seems absurd to me that the Consulate General office doesnt have any information other than the vaugue instructions on their website especially during uncertain pandemic times. Rather call the embassy in Abu Dhabi at least they will treat you basic respect unlike the agents at this office.

Absolutely appalling service. Wont answer phones due to covid and wont reply to emails despite a 24hr turnaround promise. Any reply I got was rude and unhelpful. Wouldnt even give the 1 star if I could.

Absolutely appalling service. I needed a no objection letter and 3 TIMES AND 3 VISITS LATER on the same day, they still could not provide one with my correct spelling name as per my passport details . Really appalling service for a Canadian consulate abroad.Advice: make sure you check EACH paper given to you from back and front. They even managed to hand write something at the back of one of them making it impossible to attest at the Ministry of Foreign affairs. The next one they tried to correct they wrote my name wrong AGAIN. All this with 3 visits in ONE day. Truly appaling

Ive never written a review, but I feel compelled to here for the sake of awareness. And this has nothing to do with the government of Canada, just one of the staff.I was the first person to arrive, collected the first ticket at 7:34 AM (to get a letter to transfer my QC drivers license to the UAE) then watched everyone else for the next 90 minutes get called before me (for passport related things).When I finally went to the counter and told the lady (who wasnt the person helping the other patrons, just a secretary or something) Id been waiting she said Why you no tell me sooner? and finally pushed the button, as if the numbering and ticketing system was just for show, and proceeded to ask why I so angrily passed her my passport and license. I sat there in the queue, with my ticket, for 90 minutes while this woman appeared to be surfing the internet.She then tried to deny me service because I couldnt prove my Canadian citizenship (I had a US passport because my CAN passport was still forthcoming in the mail). Once we got over this she wouldnt accept my 1000 dhs bill and I had to go elsewhere in the building to make change.It was infuriating that this woman, despite the formal ticketing system, did nothing and just expected people to come to her for service. Im only giving a second star because the rest of the Canadians in there seemed like nice people and the security were polite.

I called the Canadian embassy to check with them something, one of the Representative answered the phone. I was asking about something, she suddenly interrupted me saying that its not our responsibility call this number before I repeated the number so I can check if I wrote it right or not, she hanged up the phone.

If you need documents attested, they only do it from 8-11:30am. (Consulate service). Leave lots of time due to absence of parking anywhere near the building.
