I wish there is zero to rate since they are closing the phone when and one call them and saying we speak Romanian no English! Its un professional staff at all so how the foreign people communicate with u guys !

They have changed location to new address but its not updated on map . Its still old place where u will waste your time and struggle to find it

I’ve visited here to know regarding Romanian Visit visa but unfortunately I found closed.😤This Romanian consulate has been closed here and have been working online, they even didn’t update in the google map nor they pick the call to assist the guests😡

We have been trying to apply for tourist visa to romania and the embassy has not been helpful :( my friends just got a comment from them saying we need to give new tickets and accommodation with no reasoning whatsoever..we had to cancel our trip..all the money down the drain :(

There is no means to contact them. Phone is not answered nor are mails.Cant visit.We got a vague response for our visa application :(And we had to cancel the trip-wastage of money.

Stuff is very polite, I renewed my passport, it was ready in about 2 weeks. I think they put a big effort to give a better service. I am very satisfied.

I got both mine and my new born child passports processed. Mr. Valentin at passport counter help us with the process, very friendly and approachable.

Despite all the negative reviews that I have seen over here, I really want to tell my experience as well.I had a very pleasant experience and actually their process was really fast. The consuls are very helpful and all the questions that I had have been answered friendly.I surely go again to them and if I could give more than 5 stars I would surely do.

This has to be the worst counsulate there is. The staff is very rude and impatient. Documentation and visa approval takes forever. A huge disappointment to the Romanian diaspora in UAE.

I applied for tourist visa last sept 2019. I got my visa just after 6 working days 😊😊😊At first my appointment date was scheduled after my expected travel date but I went directly to the embassy and got a new appointment date and submitted all the required documents.

Are you looking for professional service, value for your time and money, swift response... then this is not the place! Totally disappointed and had to let down all the plans to visit the beautiful country and the credit goes to these staffs at the Romanian Consulate. I don’t know how good they are to Romanians to cater their needs but to foreigners, they were not very friendly. Lost money, time spend on the tour plans and travel/stay bookings made. Never going back to this place.

I have lived in UAE for 40+ years and been to at least 25 different countries. But by God I have never come across a worse consulate or embassy office in this entire life.1 star here indicates I hated it, I wish I could give them 0.Worst attitude, body language, and illicit words used by all of the staff put together. If it was just one staff member I would not be taking the trouble writing this review.The processing time is 3 times longer than even Schengen states visa, despite the fact that no one really wants to visit Romania unless necessary. I was supposed to be in Romania three days back for my childrens ID purpose of which I had appointment.I had waited 1 month for the visa application date and yet here I am completely puzzled by this consulate and their work ethics. Incompetent. Its been 3 weeks since visa application submitted in person, and 1.5 months since submitted online.Despite several emails and calls (that they never answer of course), you can rest assured to get zero response unless you visited the consulate and knocked on their doors.Its no surprise that the review section is spewing of hatred and ill experience remarks.A very good alternative to visiting Romania is Bosnia or Turkey or even Georgia. Please dont bother with Romania. at least not through Dubai consulate. I hope this will help many people save their time and frustration.

Most horribaly organized service. If you want to get insulted and leave without any answer go and apply visa. I applied visa on 18 June receive interview date only on 5 Aug. Despite travel date on 14 Aug and begging literally to know if I will get visa on time, I got cool reply from attendant that if I have good luck I may get on time else we dont know. Till today no info. They never reply to your call or emails. My entire family passports are stuck with them. So cant travel elsewhere. Despite applying 2months in advance I got only disappointment.PLEASE REFRAIN GOING TO THIS COUNTRY AT LEAST FROM DUBAI CONSUATE.

I would give zero stars if possible.I’m very disappointed with the treatment , it is like they don’t get paid or they are forced to come to work.Rude, answering questions in a sarcastic way, not helpful and disrespectful.I never lived in Romania but my mom is Romanian, I speak the language but not good in reading so I asked for help to explain something to me and the answer was “ you are over 18 and Mature you have to read and tell me “When I tried to explain I was interrupted in a rude and sarcastic way.I rather take a flight for one day to Romania and do what I need than going back there .

This is just a question and not a review, i have applied for visa online on september 11, 2018... got an appointment on September 24,... as of writing - October 20, i havent got any news or update regarding my visa... this is by far the longest waiting period i have experience... i have called the consulate several times with no luck... is there any possible other way to get an update? its more than 6 weeks now .. sad

I had an appointment at the Consulate for the renewal of my old passport. I was late a few minutes because of the traffic and I was thinking I will have to wait for hours to get my things done. I just want to share the amazing, professional way how everything its organised there, how smooth things are going and how polite I have been treated and helped. All my respect for the staff of the Consulate and especially for Madam Consul Teodorovici.

I applied online for 22May but getting appointment for 11June. When i asked for early appointment there is no reply from consulate. Moreover they will take 3 weeks to process visa. Hence in total 6 weeks for getting visa. This is the only country in the world doing so. Moreover when i asked to submit papers early the plainly refused. The person on reception was rude and did not know how to speak.

We visited the Romanian consulate in Dubai for renewal of some documents, our experience exceeded all expectations. They were punctual & went an extra mile to help with whatever we needed.A big thanks to Mr Bogdan Geanta.

My appointment was at 2 pm, I arrived on time, it wasn’t crowded, and anyway I was seen by the officer on time, as other people had not taken an appointment. The consulate official was very friendly and helpful. I’ll be honest, by reading the reviews here I was worried it was going to be a horrible experience, on the contrary, it was efficient and timely.

Submitted the application on the 13th of November, received an appointment date for the 25th, got my passport back on the 10th of December. Thats almost 4 weeks for a Romanian visa for someone travelling there almost 5 times a year for the past 4 years with a year long visa issued every year. Thats pretty much less half the time for a UK / Schengen visa. Theres something wrong here.

I will rate half star but no option for that. Im Romanian citizen but the service provided by the consulate its rubish . Just beacuse I didnt have my Romanian ID they couldnt release one attorney letter based on Emirates ID. And the lady from there said that her coleagues cannot accept me after appointment. Mentioning they work max 4 hours daily , starting from 9 am or 10 am, when most of us we have office timings and we skip the work to come and see their sour faces . Thanks Romanian Consulate in Dubai for nothing.

Im very sad about what I will write in my review because Im Romanian .... I was travelling last 30 years of my life and a great deal of those years with my Romanian passport, so I have been in touch with several Romanian Embassies or Consulates - Beijing, Lima, Milan, Istanbul, Addis Ababa, Copenhagen, to name just a few - everywhere I was invited at least in the waiting lounge, over the foreign public queuing for consular matters, even offered a coffee ... Im Romanian, so I consider this Consulate like my home far away from home - thats how it should be ! But not here - coming to collect my renewed passport, .... after 3 months from application, missing to check the specific schedule for releasing documents, I was kept at the gate (outside, not even accepted through the gate) and informed through an interphone that I should come again next day. I did so, and as traffic is unpredictable, I arrived at the gate 15 min. earlier - this time I didnt deserve not even an interphone conversation - the gate simply didnt open for the missing15 min, not even accepted in the waiting lounge (working with people inside !) Ridiculous show of power, and very, very disappointing and humiliating for me !

Why making an appointment if you need to wait hours. Incompetent staff as usual.

Expect to be disrespected if you go there, especially if you have general questions to ask, they will not let you in without an appointment, speaking to them through the intercom is your only option and ensure you will have an annoying conversation leaving your blood to boil. Rude and inhuman staff.Visa processing has taken longer than 25 days even though they will tell you up to 21 days from the day of appointment.

I need to travel to Romania In November the call is an answering machine that too in Romanian language how do tourists apply ? Can I travel on a schengen or not .

I came today at 9 oclock to pick up my passport and it was closed. I called and was told that the program for picking up passports had changed and I checked online. I entered the site and the passport link cant even be accessed. I do not understand why the Consulate does not make a small effort to send an informative email, when changes are made - as in the case of the working schedule for passports and especially as it was in the case of changing the address of the consulate. For a few days the consulates address was still the same as the old one, although it no longer worked there.

I called and the robot told me I was the first on the waiting line. I waited 20 minutes on the call. Thats all I did from the car drive to them.Bureaucracy and incompetence in Romania are spreading everywhere.

I had an appointment today for a power of attorney (it took over a month to be scheduled), on the website I specified all the necessary data, I sent an email with complete information for the document and today I travel from Abu Dhabi to the consulate in Dubai, (with obligatory round trip test), having with me all the necessary documents, including a power of attorney made in Romania by the notary to be sure that I will have what I need) .... and you reject my request on reason that I did not bring you the desired proxy model in Word to simplify your work ?? !!! I was answered with an indifferent attitude that I cant help myself and make a new appointment online ..... These are the services offered by our consulate in Dubai !!! Very difficult visa application process and somewhere a period of 2 months from the time of visa application with all documents online and until stamping (practically online applies first for a booking to submit the file, which was given in our case over 1 month, and after submitting the documents then it takes another 2-3 weeks to process the file).When asked if there is an emergency regime or how we can facilitate the approval of the file faster, we were told very coldly that it is only based on registration and booking, that nothing can be done.The problem is that in our case we have a wedding in Romania and half of the guests from abroad will have a 50/50 chance to get the visa on time, and the other half hearing about the visa process said that they will not come do not have a visa in time and therefore a cancellation of the plan a month and a half before the wedding.

The program is not respected even if you arrive here two hours before the closing of the program, the gate is closed and no one answers the intercom.if you are lucky, information can only be obtained through an intercom, even if you have made an effort to physically reach the consulate gate ...disaster ...

Thank you for closing your doors for 3 weeks; Thank you for being with us and I can only express my utmost regret that I was born in Romania (no longer worth a capital letter). I will try, to solve all my problems, without appealing to the national authorities. Without esteem and certainly without respect, a wonderful day.
