The staff is very cooperative and helpful, the communication ability of the staff is very good. They do everything possible to safisty the attendees. Excellent service (btw they have installed small plane seats in the waiting area which seemed to be unique idea aswell). Full stars !

I read old reviews and wonder if staff at counter 2 was newly hired or none of the reviewers had to deal with her; very nervous and loud.. nervous in a way that made us feel nervous !!!! lady counter 5 was an angel from above, very pleasant, accommodating and elite. Lady behind counter 2 is a proof that some staff are better kept behind curtains away from the front lines.. She was complaining how overwhelmed with work she is and it was all on the speakers! A lady went to warn her that she is heard on the speakers she replied even louder: so what? it is normal !!! with a loud puff !!! Really??!!! This is how the Germans do it?! The security people are so dear and polite and smiley... First people you see once you enter and they give you a pleasant impression.. Until you hear lady at counter 2 and then memories and flash backs of missions in rural countries come storming your mind leaving you speechless in a very neutral way.Service and support was VERY EFFICIENT and fast, all organised and done in timely manner could never complain. Easy free parking right in front of the building. Two sets of chairs; airplane chairs (Lufthansa seating area) and standard ones.. Standard ones are more convenient :)

Nice service, nice staff, a bit expensive and unorganised as well. Homepages not working properly. Calls not resolved the problem. Had to go there in person to get information and then was told its closed for Germany visa application. Eventhough online is written thats open 🤦‍♂️

What a disgrace for Germany this consulate is. One month waiting time to see most booth closed. Cant take your phone with you, but dont worry you have 6 months old magazines to read. There is more advertising for Lufthansa then in a Lufthansa lounge. And how great of Germany to not accept their own issued passport as ID, need for legalised birth certificate.Maybe learn from your UAE counterparts how to run a government service.

Ive been a resident of UAE since more than 16 years. Youve always done a great job by providing support and services to myself, your citizens and nationals of different countries. Again I would like to reiterate on your Professionalism, your Team Members are polite, professional, very helpful and efficient throughout all those years that Ive known you. Whether it is Visa section, Collection and other departments, they all are Honest and Helpful. They get the Job done on time and sometimes provide more help than requested. They always do what they can to help and provide the requested service, everything within their work envelope. Ive been through some google reviews about the German Consulate and came across some negative reviews, now everyone has his own opinion and a freedom to express them, therefore I would like, with all due respect, to disagree with the negative reviews because they are unfair (in my opinion). Not only unfair but also disrespectful towards the Representative Of Deutschland and its Employees. Like everywhere, there are limits to the work and help that the Consulate General Of Germany in Dubai can provide. My recommendation to all those who complained and wrote negative reviews are:Be patient, be on time, book the proper appointments, be respectful, come with proper documents in hand, read and inform yourselves on the designated web page of the Consulate, follow Covid-19 safety protocols, and respect the ground from your entry till you exit and much more, otherwise my list wont end in 1000 pages. Great friendly staff. Fast service. Plenty of parking spots. Love the Lufthansa seats inside the waiting area which is a nice creative touch. Plenty of books and toys for the little ones. Clean toilets!

Honestly, tried calling them multiple times and finally one person answered. But to my dismay, a very rude and arrogant lady was on the other line. Her words I cannot help you, not possible, please go to the website it has all the information, I cannot help you. Just wow! She was like begging me to go away. Very helpful and efficient, how hard is it to be nice? Very upsetting, I feel bad for the Germans here in UAE for having such unhelpful operators in the German Embassy. Compared to the British Embassy who answers the calls in few seconds and nice approach from the operator, you are no where near their service. Just seriously? Why? If there is a way to give a negative star, I would!

Extremely efficient. Passport renewal application took not more than 10 minutes. Moreover, friendly, smart, and helpful personnel.

This is the most respectful place i ever applied to visa from! Although I applied through VFS, every time they respect the flight time I attached with the file and they respond in enough time to know what to do...even now, my timing was tight for unexpected circumstances yet I got the respond in 10 days! Exactly on the day I asked for.one of the best places I dealt with in my life.. keep it up

Best European Consulate ever!Prepare your documents as asked by the VFS Germany, submit, make an appointment at least 30 days in advance with VFS Germany and your application goes smoothly. They are methodical, courteous and kind. just remember to follow the law!

Be prepared to be subjugated to a horrible experience if you get put in front of a miserable woman at the counter. It is very obvious that the staff of the German Embassy do not understand the purpose of a telephone - so let me explain. When the phone rings SOMEONE/ANYONE of the staff should answer the phone! NO one has the decency in this embassy to answer the phone despite countless tries & attempts. Wake up embassy staff and realize you are employed to serve the people and are paid your salaries by the German people. WORST SERVICE EVER AND THE STANDARD OF SERVICE KEEPS GETTING WORSE EACH DAY. Manners and professional courtesy do not exist in this embassy - its embarrassing.

Application for national student visa was not accepted for processing despite having a valid UAE residence visa. The reason I was given was that I spent the majority of the year in India (studying my undergraduate course), and hence I have to apply from India. This is not at all a legitimate reason, and it is mentioned nowhere on their website.Because of this, I cannot go to Germany for my graduate course and will have to apply for the next semester of the course. This has also cost me a lot of time and money.

Went there for renewal of passport and changing residence.First of all I had to wait more than 30minutes and then I was told that I will have to make two appointments - one for renewal and one for changing residence in the passport which takes like 5mins. The stamp in the passport was not done and I really have to take another appointment now. Unbelievable.Looks like this woman at the counter does not like to work.

I dont think Ive ever witnessed a more incapable and borderline degrading process in my entire life. Have never been ashamed as a german citizen until getting in touch with the consulate in Dubai. Not only are they unable to answer simple questions even to german citizens, they are simply not present. My friend tried to get a visa to visit my family in Germany and after 22 days of waiting and no responses got a rejection with BS reasons (in german). We sent an official invitation letter and all documents were presented, the passport full of past shengen visas yet they failed miserably to check and verify everything (by simply calling us). I guess fairness and equality isnt one of their characteristics. Highly disappointed.

Worst service possible. Open only 3 hours and then u get to make an appointment next week and then when u want to pick up a document, it can only be done between 9 and 10 am. Hiw ridicoulous....as if we do not have work to do we now must shedule to their needs.Embassy should be there for its people and not the other way around.I work in Abu Dhabi and can never make it during this time but would if they had business hours like any other businessI have to give now power of attorney to someone else.The service was much better 4 years ago. You could come anytime and was helped right away.... no appointments, and unananswered phone calls. 15 min in the waiting line and i will have to hang up now.....no one answers.What kind of embarassing German embassy.

As a german citizen it is embarrassing how inefficient this consulate is working. the phone and services seem to be designed to get rid of people...leads you into some circles of messages and then end in a dead end...once you finally reach somebody you are asked for emails which again end unanswered...only because you are in an inefficient country it doesnt mean you have to be even more inefficient
