The visit to French Consulate is possible only via appointment which we need to take min 24hrs in advance. Security and reception service are good and well mannered. Friendly approach by everyone and provide details explaining about our requirements. However there is few parking available with RTA but paid parking is available underground.

The people with the bad review are not the French citizen. I had an appointment for a passport renewal, a vote by proxy, and to register to the list of French living abroad and this had without any problems.

Terrible services at this consulate; more than one month to get an appointment; impossible to register at the consulate and therefore ended-up paying the full amount; their computer system was down and nothing was working.... very bad experience

From October waiting to do our family record book and still no communication, no update, nothing. Everytime we call they say it will be done soon or the person who took our papers is unavailable, after waiting 4 months, they finally told us we need an extra document! Why the heck did u accept our file if it has a missing paper and why wait 4 months to tell us this l!!!!! Inefficient! Incompetent..

Worst consulate services ever seen in my life

Feel very upset. Rejected visa even having good visa status in semi government organization and good statement of account. I have confirmed hotel booking, ticket and insurance. Fulfill all documentation. Just they are scared that I will leave before visa ends. I can judge that France Embassy has cheap minded people and just want to steal money from people. If you dont issue visa beside complete documentation then quit embassy and set in France.

Went to issue a birth certificate for our little girl today. The lady who helped us was so friendly and helpful. Got all our questions answered clearly and provided clear direction on next steps. Shes new to Dubai, we wish her a great stay here!

Really disappointed..I had an appointment for a passport renewal, a vote by proxy, and to register to the list of French living abroad.Passport: After a full morning spent gathering the required documents, rushing to the Mall to do proper ID pictures, I arrived unfortunately (my bad) 16 min late, and was met by a Sorry, appointments are 20 min only, you will have to reschedule whereas the person after me was clearly not here yet.Registration: According to the website, if you have a problem with the online form, you can fill the forms manually, and register at the consulate provided that you have all required document. I was simply answered No sorry we dont do offline registration you have to do it online, again, no negotiation whatsoever.Proxy: I gave them the online official form that I found on the website. But for a reason that neither me nor anyone can explain, they made me fill out the EXACT same form (literally identical) on paper, manually, so that they can type the information afterwards. (We all lose 10 minutes on the way)The service is bad, no flexibility at all, and a I felt a lot of close mindedness. Honestly, if this is the facade that foreigners see of our country, no wonder we have such a bad reputation.We expatriates come to the consulate also to have a few minutes making us feel like home again, and in this case, I have hardly ever felt so far from home and unwelcome.Hope that you will read this at some point, and take actions, because its the 3rd time in a year that I come, and I am sad to have to post the first bad review of my life about services provided by my beloved country.Best,Raphael

Always had a good experience with helpful people there. For any problem that I faced for the last 7 years, I always had a positive outcome. And to those leaving poor comments, just remember it is not a post office ! And read the procedures on the website before going to ask something they can not assist you with ..

If I could make negative 5 stars, it would be better match. These people dont care about anyone who use the consulate service of this country. No information, no support, no update, nothing. I had to cancel educational trip for my 8 yr old daughter, even having official invitation from Paris. Waiting for visa 4 weeks and lost a lot of money. Shame!

Inefficient and unhelpful receptionist. The guy sits there and offers no solution to a simple problem. Its on the website is his favourite catch phrase. The result is another appointment in 2 weeks. Linefficacité à la française.So, 2 weeks have passed and there we go again. I stood for a few minutes in front of the receptionist who kept on talking to her colleague before greeting me. Good start. The person after me who came for his passport was told that the photos he brought are not acceptable because the background must be grey or light blue and not white. This is the exact problem I had 2 weeks ago. I got the passport sorted, and heard the lady behind me being told that she came for nothing because the photos she brought had the wrong background colour. 2 people sent back in 20 minutes... I asked the lady why they do not have a camera on the premises like in other consulates and I was told that they had it but stopped using it because it took too long to use. I said that they seem to send a lot of people away because of the photos. I was nicely told that people should look at the website and stop being assisted. How lovely...

I had applied for a schengen visa a couple of days ago... due to personal issues, I had to request my passport to be returned as I needed to travel urgently... VFS global told me they would require 2 working days to do so therefore i approached the consulate directly.. not only were they very well mannered, they took my case up immediately... I requested for my application to not be cancelled and only be halted until I get back and resubmit the passport to them... they agreed to it after I provided proof of my situation...Thank you very much for your cooperation and support... Apparently the French government have chosen apt personnel to represent their country in UAE! :)

A shame ... It is stated on the website that one can come for the legalization of diplomas every morning without an appointment from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. I arrive at 9:30 am, I am told that I will have to come back with an appointment ...
