One tends to associate government establishments as dull and dreary both in terms of infrastructure and efficiency.This place is nothing like that, an utterly state of the art place, with an amazingly polite and efficient customer center and I was in and out to process my shipments in less than 10 min. Numerous counters, helpful staff, Restroom facility , they accept credit cards and have parking inside as well.Before you come here , please ensure you have all the details like your ID, shipment particulars etc. also understand that there will be administrative and customs duties charges. This is explained on their website.Overall a most excellent experience. Well done!

This place is super efficient. On 31 August I went to fetch my daughters ID. I got the ticket queuing number and even before I could sit down, my number was already called. Then the envelop with the ID was brought by another staff member in a matter of seconds. Less than 10 minutes (and this includes parking the car), I was already out. Keep up the good work. I would even give 10 stars if there was any.

It was just renovated. It has changed a lot and what is more surprising is how fast the services are. The 30minutes wait has cut down very significant to amazingly 2minutes!! I just sat down directly from ticketing to counter and didn’t even noticed my parcel was already in front if me and i have to leave before even 2minutes.

Appreciate the efforts put in to provide best customer service. Walk in to the disinfection booth, take a service ticket at the front desk and go to the counter when your numbers announced. Friendly and polite staff they explain you the service and process in detail. Keep up the good work UAE. Paid parking in the premise with 15 mins free.

A simple task of ID collection can be made so complex can be seen here. First go to the reception collect a token...not from the token machine and this nobody will tell you.....then they will give you two tokens along with a rect after you have shown the rect and your id at this counter....One token then needs to be given to counter 1 and again nobody will tell u this. Either follow your instincts or wait for the security guy to come looking for you and by chance see that you are holding two tokens of the first number...After you have completed this task thats when you can expect the token number to flash on the screens...This whole process will take anywhere between 1 hour to 1.5 hours.Way far off from the how other govt departments function here.Things can be done more efficiently here for sure.

First experience in emirates post office really good because of fast service.. The mobile phone received on time (4 days).. I really appreciate and happy.. Highly recommended..My second experience in same emirates post office branch is good also.. The service is very fast.. All my questions in kabayan who is in the counter answer quickly and specific.. Im so happy.. The document he said received in four days.. Yes the document is in the Philippines on time.. Four days.. I feel disappointed when delivery time little bit delay.. I suggest be strict in the delivery system so not giving stress in the end.. Thank you so much for all good service.. I trust you.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..

Emirates ID collection is so smooth at Emirates Post Al Karama, thanks to UAE Government.

From here you can collect your Emirates ID upon receiving confirmation SMS from the Empost. You need to present your Emirates ID and EIDA receipt for collection. This place is always crowded. So do not expect to be in and out in a minute 😀. Better go before 9 in the morning or else afternoon hours. Parking spaces are available all around. The staffs are very helpful and professional.

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They dont keep track of complaints, the customer service staff is not well trained (They give information on something and then they back off - if you ask why they have not fulfilled what they promised then they say the rules are changed now). Every time you try to talk to them all they are trained to say is This is our policy and we are Govt authority. why are we getting charged for our parcels coming from overseas? I have talked to more than 10 customer reps and no one was able to give me a convincing answer. all they say is this is our policy. all i will say is try to avoid this post service until they figure out what is going wrong in there.

Had to pick up my EID.I had an online chat with one of the agent on their website to have it delivered to our doorstep since we lived very far away from the post office. It was processed right away and paid just a small amount. Received it in 2 days. Saved my time, taxi fare and sweat :D

I would have given them 1 star last year when I had to wait 45min to collect my Emirates ID, with no proper queue or even reception desks. But since their recent renovation, they have truely turned the table around. I visited today, busiest time of the week, got my EID in less than 5 minutes. 15 people were served by 8 counters (just for the EID) in just 5 minutes. Every step was well thought thru by their management and it just seemed like they knew I was coming, and got everything ready for me. I salute their strive to achieve customer happiness as they now fall their centre.

The terrible postal service ever received in the whole world!. They want you to pay for every small thing. Firstly you never know if your parcel has been received by them unless you call them yourself, secondly they don’t give you an option to collect your parcel , but they want you to place with them a SPECIAL REQUEST to deliver your parcel to your door for which you have to pay 30 dhs no matter how big or small your package is. Otherwise they will keep your parcel with them for one month and then send it back to the sender. Complete nonsense!

Dubai Central Post Office. This is where the emirates id comes in. And is in good service. Cargo service is available from here to various countries. It is more than the normal cargo rate but the goods are safe.

Really disappointed at the Customer Service department. During times of COVID I tried to use the home delivery service. Numerous phone calls and emails later they failed to respond to me in one business day like their email auto response states. I grew so frustrated after two weeks that I decided to leave leave my home and get the packages myself.I had to go into the branch where I was saddened to see that once inside,Nobody was enforcing social distancing. There should be a limit to how many people can enter the post office at a time.I expected so much more and I feel let down.

I shipped once stuff.. ironically it was something to remember .. the economy class suppose to reach in 3_4 weeks... so the local man was convincing me to pay for the Express as it will reach within week... of course higher charges.. i payed for the economy . my stuff reached after 1 week..... thats dubai they want all what u have in their pockets... period .

Vastly improved customer experience with the recent renovation. It used to be unheard of to be in and out in 3 minutes. It can now happen. Also, kudos to them for a generous customer parking area. Change isnt always good, but this time, they did it properly. It is almost an enjoyable experience to visit, at least, as enjoyable as having to go to the post office ever will be.

Horrible service, the phone number does not even tell where package is located. Website says attempted delivery, no one has called me. They should be reported to the happiness program more. So much problem everywhere.

Ridiculous how a country so modern has next to no postal service. Several items in the past have been lost. Anywhere else in the world you put a name and address the post will deliver it there but not here. I dont understand why if a parcel has a name and address that it cant be delivered?? Or at the very leas held until the person looks for it.

My parents sent a package (selfmade masks) from Germany with DHL and it ends up with Emirates Post.They charge 50AED VAT, 15AED admin fee and (i think it was) 15AED for central PO Box... Even though I have my own PO box.Anywhere in the world the receiver doesnt have to pay fees for receiving a package except when its commercial. Really disappointed and I will certainly not send anything anymore with Emirates Post.

Such a torture!! Service s horrible!I dont understand why they charge for anything and everything In the first place.Ordered 2 kg of dates from back home and they didnt even send me notification for collection. I just went there with my tracking number. The lady there wanted to charge me no matter how and one of the male staff was telling her no need to charge as there is no pricing tag. So the lady looked devastated to hand me the parcel for which I already paid for delivery.

This is the Dubai central post office where you can collect your Emirates ID card, just check the location written in the sms you received and go collect your ID cards or any parcel you are expecting.This post office is well organized to serve the largest number possible of customers, everything is organized you take your token number and wait till your number is shown in the screen. This very good to protect you from people jumping the lines, and this will save your time and comfort.The staff are very helpful,nice, professional and hardworking. If you have any problems or any suggestions you can talk to the manager and you will be satisfied because Dubai government care about you and wish to make you very happy during the process.Location is very good because there are lots of bus routes nearby the building. Taxi services available and car parking is very big.Yes they have ATM machine and restaurants are nearby the building.I wish you all the best things and I hope everyone stay happy.

If it was up to me I would not even give a single star. The reason is that your staff at the counter are not emotionally stable to assist customers. All he could say to me return. No efforts to help or to ensure the customer everything could be done. I ordered an item from ebay it has been more than 1 month and a half. While being in touch with the seller due to non delivery. I was made aware that the item was already in Dubai for more than a month and since they usually do not deliver they did not even try to contact me. How would I know it was sent to the Central Post Office? In the tracking list, they mentioned they advised customer to pick up the item. How? No call no email sent. When I understood if it was the DCPO. I called the office and they advised me the parcel was with them and to come ASAP as they could not hold it for more than a month. I went the next day to my surprise they returned it already. Why could they not leave a notification for internal comm.? The advisor at the counter could not even communicate properly to advise me what would be the next step. Lack of english and looked novice. I filled a form in hope to get a phone call the following day. Now its more than 48 hours and no call yet. Why did you not get in touch with me? The mailing address was there in your system. The item was with you all these times. Whats next?

Worse service ever, spoke to a lady yesterday and confirmed with her that my item would have been delivered today, guess what? I recalled them and another guy told me that my item is still in the post office and the delivery wuold take up to 4/5 working days, plus I have to pay an extra cost (which I had already paid like 10£) for me to be delivered at my step door. Never again.

The free time of 15 minutes for parking is too short and I see everyone rushing their cars to complete their work within the free parking time.Should be increased to 30 min

2 hr is easily spent here just to get a parcel. It’s ridiculous how there’s only 1 parcel/Ems receiving counter. And not to mention how this is organized, you have got only one runner getting this parcels. They really need to upgrade its logistic, I feel like I’m back in the 70s.

Don’t expect a simple thing like collecting your ID could be an easy thing to do, thanks to this slow place, you can spend an hour just to get such simple task done!! I still don’t understand why they request a PO Box number at the first place if they won’t just simply deliver it there?!You have to go to collect a document from your PO box then go to waste your time standing in lines waiting to collect a token then another line to hand the token then finally just sit and wait there until they call your number !Such a waste of time!

Postage, parcels and all related postal services.Staff is helpful and accommodating.It takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes for most of the services.Procedures and instructions are clear, discipline is maintained at all times. Just to get the delivery of emirates ID card, I have to go through 3 stages . And in the end I get a token and have to wait for more than half an hour looking at the display screen . Ample seating present. Staff are not rude . Parking inside the building itself which is good.

I had to wait for one hour to recover a package. A package that had my complete address in it, with no errors. Service is slow, waiting area was full. Make sure your packages do not get stuck in this place, it will ruin your day.

Past experience with this post office was not fair enough. Recently post office received some facelifts both in appearance and services. Now feel much better than before

Fast, organized and efficient. Located centrally in karama, parking might be a challenge during the days but on the cool side they are operational till 21:00hrs so you can get your work done post your office hence the name post office, that’s my analogy ;))Thoroughly professional staff addressing your queries super fast and efficiently. Enjoy a cup of coffee incase you are on day with excessive crowd during your long waiting times. These days rarely you might have to visit but it’s fun to collect parcels or your Emirates iD

Very slow.To get small parcel you will spend min 1 hour. While they will eat, talk... you have to sit and wait. I visited it 4 times already. Every time its the same.And check all information for parcel which you are sending. Always make mistakes. We changed 3 times, at first they made mistake in address, after they arranged address, but put mistakes in name. So strange, I wrote them all clear information on the paper. And anyway theyve sent parcel with mistake in post code. Such a incredible irresponsibility.

Poor quality of customer service

The worst company in UAE. I have sent an item to USA, when I signed the agreement it said within 15 days it will reach. And I paid DHS 270. It took 13 days to reach to their NY dispatch centre and another 10 days to reach to its final destination in USA. when I confronted with them they said it reached USA in less than 15 days ! And its not their problem if it got delayed . Even though the agreement said to its final destination . I asked for refund since I lost the DHS 270 and the item which I suppose to return. All their communications with them were in vague . Useless . No one gave me clear answer . !! I lost around DHS 900 because of their delay. ( the item stayed in their Dubai dispatch centre for 11 days !!!!!! Before it got shipped )

Very bad experience and unprofessional, I went to pick up my package and and they told me its not there yet, after they confirmed over the phone it will be there by that time, I spent almost 1h in the traffice to make it on time, and when I talked to the manager he said you always have the right to complain rather than giving me a solution or apologize, very frostrating.

Chaos, complex procedure just to collect Emirates id, no explanation anywhere. Extremely busy and few staff to help. Avoid doing any business here if at all possible.

Staff seated for EMS was too lazy to type the address details and made me type it. They say express delivery service takes 3-5 working days and when called to inquire after 5 days, the operator had no clue.

A great place to send your shipment or letters to abroad or within middle eastern countries.It is also place where you get your Emirates ID.Staff is very helpful and supportive.

They don’t answer their phone, unknowing to us why they then have it. They keep you waiting for a whole hour while doing trivial things that can be done after the customer has been assisted. There is no customer etiquette. Everything is just so time wasting that they don’t care asif we hv the whole day to spend at the post office. It’s the worst!

The worst post i’ve had to deal with. Very unorganized. Last time I waited one month to pick something up. This time, their track number system doesn’t work maybe this is why they are experiencing ‘higher than normal call volume’ and I cannot even speak to someone, that is if the call options even function at all. Terrible experience. Ive sent a package from dubai to germany on 18th April and I didnt get it in germany and it shows on the Web page received by the customer! !! The General Postal Authority in Karama, Dubai, or more simply known as the GPO Karama.

Previous experiences with this particular center where always a headache, with bad and rude staff, today it was completely different story they renewed the center with more counters, helpful staff and I didn’t even spent 10 min before my turn, great service keep it up.

I bought MyHeritage DNA from USA which I paid for the delivery courier service. I got a message from DHL via Empost which said I have to pick it up at Dubai Post office. I went there and I paid 27 dhs. I was wondering what is the payment for? It should be free but to argue means you will not win and you will delay yourself even more.

Used to be faster, not anymore, in year 2018 their service have become way too slow, they applied taxes over receivable items, they applied 1000 dirhams for a post office box instead of 150 dirhams, so in other means we are paying more and getting less service or slower service instead of a faster one, unfortunately, u wouldve given them 5 stars, not anymore, im giving two stars just due to the Air condiotining thats inside, nothing else, so sad that it went way worse than before..
