Probably the best car rental I’ve been to in UAE. They are professionalized, and there cars are maintained well and cleaned. There prices are so reasonable too. As for the deposit, it starts from 1500 till 2000. :)

I have given them 2 stars in 2018 as per the review below. It is amazing that in 2021 this dropped to a single star, or no star at all if Google allowed that. I have been trying to call them to book a car for the last 4 days. No one answers. I leave voice notes, and no one calls back. I call their 800 number and they promise me someone will call me back, and I get completely ignored. They simply do not do communication.Here is my 2018 review:Service is very laid back and slow. I am sure the management can do something to streamline and expedite the procedures. Its not acceptable to wait more than 30 minutes (after payment) to pickup a car in 2018 while you are the only customer at the counter!

I have rented a vehicle from Shift car Rentals for over 5 months. It began with a great an professional person named Ms. Ederlyin ( hope its correct spelling). I rented a Nissan sunny that was so clean, not smelly and sanitized just before delivery.Not to mention the great service during the whole period and support from them.Any clarifications required on salik or traffic fines and payment related enquiries, Ms. Hencel was always on the job with quick email and phone response. Full support.End of the day, there are so many car rental companies in Dubai and UAE. But its all about service and this post is written only to support their team and good company as they have supported me during the rental period.I returned the car on 02.12.20 after 5 month lease and today I am renting from them again.Best wishes at all times to Shift as a company that is driven by a professional team.Kind regards

I have been renting car from shift car rental since past 3 months and as per my experience they are providing excellent service.Sales representatives (special mention to Ms. Ederlyn) are prompt in terms of providing information and are also cooperative.As for the cars, they are well maintained.Also, I would specially like to mention about their transparancy in the rental charges applied.Overall it has been a good experience so far.

After researching the whole market for weeks, finally I got in touch with Shift Rent a Car. They made the processes so easy and simple. Delivered the car to me at my home as well.Kudos to Mr. Clifred from the Al Aweer Branch who explained everything and made it simple. He was professional, well spoken and crystal clear on the terms and conditions. The car is in an unbelievable and in a pristine condition. I rented the car from shift rent a car last year from July 17 to October 17. The time I returned the car it was fully inspected including fuel tank. Now suddenly after 9 months of returning the car they have charged me on my credit card without intimating me and without raising any invoice. Now when I have sent an email to their accounts department, they have sent me an invoice that too last year dated which doesn’t specify, still why they have charged me. I have sent them reminder but no one is bothered to answer my query. Will not recommend anyone in the later future. My biggest mistake I took rent a car from such a company.

Did not stick to their commitments and caused us to lose 3300 AED.Long story short: we were fined 3000 AED for not wearing a mask in the vehicle by the police (wrongly as the driver, me, and the passenger, my husband, are married). Shift added a 10% “processing fee” to this for a total of 3,300.We immediately informed Shift that this was an error and that we would appeal the fine with the police. Shift agreed (on 4 occasions!) to not pay the fine until the appeal process was completed.We appealed via the right channels (we went to the police station and sent the necessary emails) and were reassured by the police that the fine was indeed issued in error given the circumstances outlined.However, when we followed up with the police on the processing of the appeal a few weeks later we were told that Shift had already paid the fine in the meantime and that there was now no way to reverse it.Shift had given us their word that they would not pay the fine, but then did so anyway, presumably due to lack of communication within the company. They’ve not responded to our emails of complaint.I will never use this service again.

The worst shop ive ever dealt with. Dont use them guys and dont trust them. They require credit card in order to take deposit however i offered them to pay it by cash but they refused!I am not going to get CREDIT CARD only to rent a car, i dont need it at all.Worse experience and the employee was very rude.Good Luck.

I am pleased with my experience with Shift car rental especially Hafiz’s responsiveness. The car was new, very clean and worked perfect. The price I paid was also very reasonable and the customer service was value for money. Overall I highly recommend shift rental and ask for Hafiz as he will take well care of you.

I have been using Shift car rental from more than 3 years and currently i am using Renualt Koleos. I deal with SMBZ road branch, Sharjah. Their service is very professional, specially Mr. SHWAN. He always co-operate and support.

My biggest mistake in Dubai so far renting a car from this companyDelivery of the car three hours too latePick of the car two days too late. I had to call the company five times in order to give them their own car back. After that they charged me for two days extra.Management had agreed to give the money back but after 21 days they opened the investigation again.Unfortunately I had to contact Consumer rights in UAE.

When it comes to customer satisfaction, there is nobody in Shift car rental who match Shawn Menezes skills to deal with customers professionally. I have been on phone calls with Shawn for hours to finalize a deal and he is has shown his professionalism and nevertheless to say he is exceptionally talented in all aspects when it comes to result, dedication, honesty, and integrity. I rented out from Shift about 3 times. They were reasonable with their quotes.The Car was clean and well maintained. I didnt face any problems during pickup, the rent period or the handover!Only issue was post two months after the hand over, they issued a charge for salik without informing. I was not happy about it!But apart from that, Everything else was good.I would rent out from them again!

The worst service in Dubai. The customer service representatives have such attitude and the experience of dealing with them is horrible. In addition, they are happy to debit your account without sending you an invoice of what the expenses are for. I had to phone the company to just try to find out why an amount was taken off my account without my knowledge of what I was being charged for. They will also charge you an admin fee for your fine and if you query it they will ask you to take it up with the police. Just FYI before you make the commitment.

I rented a car from Shift Car Rental Sharjah last 2 month ago and I returned the car 1 week back to Sharjah branch. The shift team given a awesome service done by Mr. Shawn as per their terms and conditions they did all the formalitys. There is no any extra amount they deducted from me. They provided 2015 car but very neat / clean and awesome condition I love the car and their service. Also I thanks to Mr. Shawn for the quick response for my any inquiries. I referred my colleagues and my friends to rent a car from Shift Car Rental if in sharjah then from Shawn. Once again thanks for all Shift Car Rental Team.

Terrible experience! Ive been renting cars from the UAE for quite sometime and decided to use Shift for a change. I pre-booked and paid the full rental amount online and went to collect my car. The man servicing us that day was rude, ill informed, ignorant, uncompromising and instead of helping us with an issue that we were trying to resolve he proceeded to ignore us and told us to figure it out like it was our job to do so. I even called 4 other rental companies to see if the issue we were facing can be resolved and to double check if this man was telling the truth (which he was NOT) every other company said they would resolve the issue the exact way we suggested to this man which he did not accept, and would not let us speak to his supervisor/manager and went to ignore us till it was closing time and it was too late to get another car. Thankfully our money was refunded but he ruined our whole trip the next day as we couldnt get a car in time. For fast and professional car rental service I suggest ANYONE else in the UAE

The service here was first class. The information I got prior to arrival in the UAE was very helpful and the process was handled professionally. Zeina kept me informed throughout and I received a very competitive deal. Other leasing agencies I had made enquiries with were not as customer focused. I would recommend this agency very highly.

The best place to hire car. Best service provided and the car is delivered to your door steps.i had booked a nissan micra number plate AD92918-17 from 30th to 31st of march from sharjah HIQ. The contact guy was shawn, a well mannered, well spoken guy who helped me with the process and it was really smooth. Best services i would suggest to go for this rental service.

Awful customer service, requested a replacement car for service two weeks later nothing happened, rented from them for four months and when i returned the car, they charged me again for a full month 3 days later!! they charged me always without asking or sending me the invoice. they charged me a traffic fine and when i asked for the details of the fine i never received it!! just avoid at all costs

Very Bad Experience with their Service ... They Put us on troubleWe requested for Lease vehicle and we submitted all original documents Including CDC and PDCs. They kept us hanging for past 10days and now they replied that they cannot release vehicle. We have loosed many deals and contracts with their delay of vehicle .THEY ARE RESPONSIBLETheir Sales Representative dont have enough balance in his phone to coordinate with customers.There is more option in market to select services.

Worst mistake I have made in Dubai hiring from this company.As soon as I have the car back they started to charge my card for random things.1. Charging me for a payment they said they forgot to charge me a few weeks ago!?!2. Damage on the car but they can’t describe the damage ? Which wasn’t spotted on the inspection when returned.3. They couldn’t collect the car until 4pm but charged my for the whole day rental.Don’t expect your despot back from this company regardless

I had a bad experience with this. Booked a car for 3 days but they booked and charged me for a week. I returned the car after 3 days. The worst part It will take them more than a month to reverse the excess charge? they say it as per company policy in which it was clearly not my fault. That will be my first and the last.

In my experience, Worst car rental service in UAE. They will deduct your credit card towards security deposit. But to get that money back after the car is returned, you have send hundreds of reminders If your car breakdown, you have to repair it yourself, Shift Car rental service guys will not help.I wonder how Al Rostamani is running such a company with such unprofessional people in the office.

Rented Nissan Micra on the 16th September 2017. Paid deposit 1000 AED via debit card and 3 monthly installments of 1300 AED via credit card as per their requirements till 16th December... Service was good, vehicle was good, everything was good until the deposit needed to be returned. Been calling them and chasing then via email, initially they responded that it will take time but now they will not answer in any method nor have I received my deposit back till now and its the 5th of February 2018.Middle of all this on the 16th of January I called them chasing for my deposit and for some bizarre reason they deposited 1000AED on my credit card and in the same moment they refunded it and they mention that the transaction has been completed. Even my bank was confused by this and told me it made no sense at all.Any how Im still chasing but to be honest I dont think I will ever see it... Time is money and from previous reviews clearly deposit chasing with Shift car rental is clearly expected. Not good dot com!!!

A terrible experience. I rented a Nissan Sunny car for one month. It was supposed to be a 2017 model. They provided me with a 2016 model car with a defect on the A.C. and the car doors. I contacted them and they kept promising me to change the car and eventually they did nothing. Unprofessional ...I wont recommend .

Second EDIT:Probably they have some business with AL JAMAL RENT A CAR.I dont fully understand the situation, but here are the facts:- I got a car accompanied by Shift Car Rental rental form.- My bank card was charged by AL JAMAL RENT A CAR (bank statement).- I havent gotten my money back, neither an explanation for 3 months.- After 2 months from the rental SHIFT LEASING RENT A C charged my bank card. (I got an explanation for this particular charge which is acceptable)- I was contacting with Shift Car Rental for 1,5 months. I couldnt arrange anything.

Worst Costumer Service one could possibly imagine. Even after I had specifically told them that I will pay for the car rent and the fines in Cash, my credit card was charged twice. My complaint e-Mail has never been responded nor have I gotten any form of apology.

This company has potential but it’s the staff that is giving it a bad reputation, I will not be using this company anymore first of all the car gets delivered at anytime they please even when you have requested for a certain time, when I request for a new model (2018 or so) I don’t get that. Also I don’t know if they’re taking commission from the rent but I am tired of having to deal with amateurs , I suggest you don’t bother either.

I had paid the deposit ( AED 1,500) in cash and they were to return this amount to me 45 days after the return of the car which ended on 24th February 2016. Since then I am chasing for my payment and have not yet received it. The calls dont get answered , emails dont get replied to and the customer service executive sitting at the counter doesnt know much and has a very laid back attitude. The only choice I was left with is to visit the center every second day only to have no update. She keeps checking in the system and promising a further date . If you are a tourist in this country please be careful before paying the deposit as you may have to leave the country without receiving the amount back. I have still not received my money and neither has anybody from the team called me with an update.

Extremely unprofessional and very careless with credit card information. They do not provide full details of charges and then overcharge you, or even double charge. It took three weeks for me to get a refund on an amount they should never have charged. Avoid at all cost.

Unfortunately I hired a vehicle through EZHIRE who get their vehicles through SHIFT. EZhire is incorrectly advertising the wrong models vehicles but communication could definitely improve as I have had to email and call countless times to resolve my situation.

I would like to say that i am really disappointed with Shift, they charged me for smoking in the car for AED 400 and they offered me 50 AED discount and before finalizing with me within second they deducted the money from my credit card, the guy who spoke to me his name is Godin and he was speaking to me as if he was threatening me, i also asked them to send me the signed contract by me where its written that smoking is not allowed and the fine amount for the same and they havent gotten back to me yet, kindly make sure to read the contract thoroughly before signing, i did not have this issue with Diamond Lease rent a car, few of my friends are also returning the car to shift rent a car

Absolutely horrible, one of the most messed up experiences Ive ever encountered, from the second I booked just horrible horrible, DO NOT RENT FROM HERE, I swear of Rostomani owners know whats happening they will close downThey tried to give me car with an expired registration!!!, when I refused they kept making up stories and after 3 hours I was sent without a rental, on top of that the PRO calls me, how the hell is the PRO related to customer care?
