Great roast dinner (the works) roast beef and roast chicken, veggies and Yorkshire pudding! Yum! Had an apple crumple with custard to follow and was delicious! I’m sure In summer when the doors are open it’s much lighter inside and nice to sit in. Nice mocktails, 👏

We dined here tonight, we were two persons and we ordered Fish & Chips, in addition to The Duck Hook burger, our ordered was served after 45-50 minutes. When we asked about the delay, the waitress told us there is only one chef in the kitchen, and our order is 3rd in queue. So basically the kitchen is very busy and there is one person preparing the food. Im not quit sure it is the case, because a restaurant with this size and number of tables cant have one chef only. Its just illogical.Nevertheless, we got served our orders and we enjoyed the dinner. The food quality was good, and the prices are on the touristic/expensive side.The venue is clean and nice, and there are plenty of parking spaces just outside the building.

Nice pub/restaurant in a green environment.I like the idea of having drinks outside in the grass - this changes from the usual Dubai bars style.Ambiance is very chill with friends, couples, families, golfers.I did not really try the food but I removed one star for the cheese board being a bit tiny for the price.Also very good staff and service

Great place! Lovely venue looking into the golf course. We had scotch eggs which were divine and very filling for a starter. Marmite roast potatoes were delicious and the maple roasted parsnips were scrumptious! Staff were incredibly attentive without being overly fussy which was great. The only minor comment was that the outside area where we were had bird mess on the floor which had been there a while so that was a bit disappointing.

The roast is always great here, would highly recommend. A little pricy if you dont have the entertainer voucher, but they do have happy hour every day from 3-8pm I believe.

Love the food, love the refillable sparkling water and most of all love the ambience. The view is relaxing and the food is enticing. A must visit place and a restaurant that you all must try. Thumbs up for the duck and hill house.

Located in Dubai Hills Golf Club and overlooking the green golf course and a blue pond, The Duck Hook is the place to go to escape city noise. Its a restobar serving good food and a wide choice of beverages. Personally, I have ordered Beer-Battered Fish & Chips (pictured) and it was a good portion with a great taste. However, I dont recommend sitting outside if youre going to order food because the flies will eat you and your food. In case you prefer sitting outdoors, its better to just have a drink and enjoy the view and your dogs company.

Just always a very enjoyable time whether its a long Friday, two family lunch in the winter, sat outside on the terrace, looking over the beautifully manicured, vivid green grass towards the Burj Downtown, or sitting inside for a summer date dinner, the food and drinks hit the nail on the head. A fabulous, smartly dressed, wonderfully helpful, serving team just ace it everytime. Dont hold back.... Get in a cab now, go and enjoy... Plus the duck themed artwork is very clever, witty and original.Dont forget to take your discount vouchers too, just to add a smile to your face.

Really like this place. Service is very good. Pie is alaways delicious and sometimes we take a takeway portion for tomorrow 😀. People are friendly. Atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. There is a overview on part of golf course which adds on to relaxation.

I recently had the lamb Sunday roast and must say,it was the best Ive had in a long time, the lamb was outstanding!!! Perfect portion size,ample gravy and perfectly cooked vegetables. Sticky toffee pudding was exceptional as well. Cant wait to.go back!

Really nice pub at the golf club. I had the signature duck confit which i did enjoy but there were some elements of the dish not to my taste. The duck and potatos were both really yummy though and very nicely cooked. Great happy hour offer with lots of options.

Good restaurant for a mid-week roast. Service wasnt the best considering how quiet it was (midweek, 4pm) so would hope it improves during busier times. Expensive for a roast, but better than most.

I along with 2 other friends visited The Duck Hook on 4th August for few drinks since I live in Dubai Hills and thought I would support my local pub. Half way through we were greeted by the pub manager and we asked not to use our e-cigarettes because it was allowed and we did ask a staff member who told us we could use it on the extension side. Around us there were 4 tables atleast who were also using e-cigarettes and one of them smoking a pipe. After few minutes of arguments with the pub manager we said we wont use it if he tell other guest also but he refused to ask others. I think this was not a good act and said we would leave and never go back again and spend our money somewhere else where we get respect. The service was horrible and the staff werent trained enough to cater. I would not recommend this place to anyone else.Bad attitude and service from staff members

The food has gone down hill considerably recently- I used to like coming here as I live in Dubai hills. Fish and chips my wife and I received was a tiny piece of fish covered in a massive amount of batter and the chips had either been reheated from previous day or deep fried again, they that were that dry. For the price charged 105AED, I would rather go to Dhow and Anchor. The brasserie is no better charging 145AED for risotto and 145AED for a burger - no wonder it is empty. Happy hour and roast are the best options here.

Given the fact it was Easter Sunday , COVID restrictions apply, it was relatively busy but with fewer seats seemed relatively empty inside, there were quite a number of large tables outside,first visit and I honestly expected a better standard all around for quality of food, and service.- we ordered a main of Roast beef and a pudding, the food was definaltly plentiful, roast parsnips and carrots were very good, beef was good quality and the Yorkshire puddings are a lovely huge contribution, food was luke warm, service was shockingly slow and completely disorganised - the only really nice thing that peaked my interest were the bottles of sparkling water served in reuseable glasswareshame really - I was possibly expecting too much and in my head I expected more of a homely feel, due to COVID the tables are possibly misplaced and I felt like I was sat in a corridor.the Guy shouting at the football screen wasnt a bonus and I hate that kind of atmosphere - reminded me of a pub in Barsha Heights - with nicer decor.food 6/10service 4/10atmosphere/overall feel for me - 3/10 @probably wont return in a hurry

This hide away overlooks a stunning golf course. Eith a dekight nibbles menu for the bar or a full menu fpr appetizer, dinner desert. A surpise to find ipa available as well aa a vast menu of all thing gin.Its like stepoing into a cozy lounge borderline hindden tucked away bar.

After having sold my kidney to afford playing at this golf club, we decided to grab a bite and have a beer in the club house. We were greeted by a lady who had such a horrible body odor. She said the club house is full. Weird enough, I took a look inside and there was all sorts of people except golfers. I even saw dogs with their owners coming in and out. This golf club definitely needs to learn how to service to golfers. Having been rejected we went to the other restaurant across the hall. Where things did not get any better. Great bar located in the heart of Dubai Hills with it’s Golf Course and palm trees as great views. Very popular for its Happy Hours serving good food all day. Per friendly (although only outside) but the team very courteous and friendly offering to bring a dog water bowl without us even asking (it’s a Dog Owner thing)!Strongly recommend a visit and my next visit will be during its Brunches 😊🍾

Great place and food but their air conditioning doesnt work. I mean its inadequate not that its failed. Hey guys ... its 45 degrees outside you need to have air conditioning.[July 2020 update] The poor air conditioning remains the same 12 months later..no action taken at all. I wont be returning until October.
