I had booked my tickets from sonic on 12july from Mumbai to Dubai.As due to covid19 we were told we are arranging for a special charter flight from Mumbai to Dubai & on basics of tht 1st we were quoted price for tickets would be 32k Indian rupees (1550dhs) and exactly a day before departure we received a msg stating tickets purchased price is goin high so u will have to pay additional 200 dhs each. Now the tickets were costing 1750 dhs (35650 rupees) each.We were told that charter flight is costing high due to lack of flights. Then we were told that 2 Other travel agent have approached and we might club all together. 14-16 hour prior flight we received our tickets and in tht we found out tht only 35odd ppl were there on the group ticket wht we had received.On enquiry we were told there is other list and u can meet them at airport. On 12th Morning on reaching Mumbai airport we found out that we were the only once traveling with a group ticket. Shocking part was in flight the passenger next to me had purchased the same seat at 17000 Rupees (833dhs) & he was surprised to know that we had booked for 1750 dhs. Now the point was we were told special charter flight to help Mumeneen.In this times where ppl are out of jobs and source of income is totally affected the word help had costed up more than double the price. We understand that every business makes some percent to survive but that doesnt mean u make double profit. In this time of pandemic people everywhere are helping eachother and not considering profit for sometimes. I would definitely expect for my refund of balance amount. Ppl reading this Please be alert & check market price.
