Very beautiful place to visit. A water area surrounded by many mountains. Boating facilities are also available with fixed charge. At night, the dam is lighted up so beautifully. Evening view will be so much marvellous. Highly recommended place.

It was a Superb Experience Riding Kayak Boat, A Bit energised initially but later Tired riding with Pedals .Took some Rest while pedalling Kayak Boat.Must visit place for Sports Enthusiasts & with Family Members.Cold Climate bis best time to Visit like Nov to Feb . Washroom facilities are available at the Down side of the Dam along with Huge , organised Parking Facility.

Its a nice place in middle of mountains. Lake is beautiful and have Kayaking facility available. If you take Maleeha road then the journey towards destination is a amazing as well. Surrounding area os also very good and give you feel of a modern village. There are coffee shops there as well and if you come to city you find some options to eat as well. All in all a very nice destination.

Visiting Hatta dam always been a memorable one because its my first trip or outing in UAE after coming to Abu Dhabi from India, and i had a great kayaking experience its my first time i tried kayaking it was thrilling experience, we stayed over the hill in shade prepared grill and had great night stay in car and woke up with beautiful sunrise. water was spectacular color and the texture of the hill is artistic, its really worth to go for a fun day outing. ideal to visit this place is during winter, with a chill weather we can enjoy the kayaking for hours.

Very good relaxing tourist place in Dubai. We can visit hatta dam without any fees. I spend there whole day and I would like to recommend to everyone for visit hatta dam.

Nice view from top of the dam , kayaking is available.only with the tickets for kakaying you can enter to the waterfront. Only few parking available above to the dam esp for family and babies on board. Otherwise you can park down the dam in the free parking lot.

An amazing hill station spot along with a mesmerizing scenery of the dam. It was a great fun to hike to the top and then enjoy peddle boating in the dam. A day spent very well. I enjoyed it.

It is good place to do Kayaking. Available variety of boats to roam and good place to spend time with adventure. Winter is perfect time to come here and enjoy the nature. Try to reach there but early and enjoy the sunrise.

Beautiful place ...nature at its best .... about 2 hrs drive from Dubai to the east to small village....There is parking lot and you can also park on the side of the road.....the place offers beautiful views of the dam, reservoir water and mountains surrounding it. There are options to rent a kayak, canoe or boat to enjoy the place much closer. No restrooms at the dam location.

Located at the border of Oman and UAE, Hatta dam is an amazing escapade if you crave for a quick break from the buzz of busy Dubai. Calm peaceful lake, warm breeze and a quiet community.Google maps gone wrong, but hey! Kudos to the patrolling and ever helpful Dubai Police who escorted us uphill until we reached the dam! Great experience overall.

I was never expecting to see such a beautiful place in the desert full of country. I really love the scenery. The dam is full with clear good looking water and surrounded with mountains.If you are a nature lover then this is the place to enjoy the beauty of nature. Not only the dam but also opposite side view of mountains are quite enjoyable.I really liked the boating there with my family, with the round size pedal boat it was quite fun. Although there are not much option for foods you will find a grocery stock where you can get ice creams, chips and drinks.If you climb down to the parking area there are wash room facilities and few food trucks where you can enjoy the local foods.

It was spectacular. Its nice for a change to be in the country where the atmosphere is so refreshing. A peaceful place indeed.

The most beautiful part, the rock pools , fall in Oman and are no more accessible. Even the lake is not accessible if you dont buy tickets to take a boat ride. You just get to see the view of lake from atop the dam.No sun shades at the top. So if you get sun stroke or something because of high sun, u are left to die there. No provision to cater to medical emergency.No toilets at the top. So in case u need to use one, you have to go all the way down to the parking and climb back 198 stairs.Whoever designed this place for tourists, was not qualified to do so. Hundreds and thousands of people throng this place, but what a pathetic design.The lake is too beautiful though. We even saw mallards and wild goats(on the montains). Pristine blue waters.... amazing indeed.I would recommend you take a boat ride. Well, you have to row or paddle yourself. No boatman in this place. So you have to be healthy and strong enough to do so. And if you can undertake that, its really very good. I did, and it was thrilling. Go as far as you can, to get the most if it .

Thanks to the Hatta government for developing this area.We are waiting for the opening and launch of the power plant!But of course there is something that I didnt like the last time, before you could go down to the water, look at fish, ducks, now only those who have a ticket for water transport go down.But people whose weight exceeds 75 kg. cant ride water bikes, the kayak remains, but it has too short a paddle and the water floods you.

Well, its simply natures bliss. Crystal green lake surrounded by beautiful mountains. Climb to dam from parking lot was a bit tiresome. But the view was worth it. There is family drop off facility to dam i think. In weekends its pretty crowded.

Out boat cost 150aed, it fit 3 people in the boat..The dam is as the picture, you need to go around 12 pm until 4 pm which is not gonna be that hot. Quite a place to relax with your love ones or friends..Parking is super big and has a toilet around. Also, a little shop to sell some quick snack.

The perfect place to visit in the Winter months. You can rent a boat or choice for an hour or unlimited depending on the boat type. It’s a nice social distancing activity but you must keep your life jacket on at all times. They have a huge car park with a small incline to reach the reception desk to buy your tickets. Bags are allowed on the boats and it’s also dog friendly!

Great place to visit and must-do on the list of things to do in Dubai. Well it is only technically in Dubai, as you are going to have to drive for over an hour to get there from Dubai. They have done an AMAZING job with the dam and making it available to the public. And there IS a toilet here and you are all of a 3-minute drive to the closest Mosque so ignore the reviewer who claims neither is available. A note to those who are not able to walk up steep slopes - you can drive your car up to the top of the Dam Wall and be dropped off. However you must park down at the bottom of the wall in the ample space provided for this. There are also some food-outlets adjacent to the parking area should the walk and activities stimulate your appetite! A great way to spend a few hours on water in a beautiful setting. Well done to the Dubai-Hatta municipality for their amazing effort.

Treat for the eyes but not for body.... I went in December... if its not cool in this part of the year then I dont know which is the best suited month to visit this place... View is awesome no doubt about that... But you need to climb a small mountain which is too steep for children and women...

An earth dam in the mountain ranges of UAE, and attract visitors with boating , kayaking, horse riding and site seeing. The assenting and walking down is bit tiring but worth to visit at least one time either you are a resident or tourist.

Excellent place to visit especially after summer. The water is very beautiful and several rides available at reasonable prices on the lake. Parking is available free of charge. Beautiful hour and half drive from Dubai through the nice mountains to Hatta... Definitely worth a visit..

Great place to plan a short family/friend/solo trip to.Breathtaking views, kayaking/boating facility, hiking trails, small-eateries (at the parking area) serving light snacks from burgers and sandwiches to Luqaimats - this place is worth the drive, which in itself is a fun experience.Kayaking is arranged over a huge area, chargeable at AED 60 for a single kayak. We went on a Jan-mid Friday morning. I’d suggest you reach there before 8 am, when the sun is still not high up and the dam area is shaded. At around 9, the place did start to crowd but we were already done with our plans and left.A wide viewing deck is arranged at the far-end of the Dam, where parking is not allowed however. You can take great panoramic shots from here.Parking area (free) is arranged at the ground level of the reservoir, with near toilet facilities available. The walk up the stairs to the dam top and the ticket counter is a bit strenuous, which definitely calls for some much-deserved refreshments which are arranged at the parking area as food-trucks or stalls.Hatta Dam is a great place to spent your weekend mornings.

Awesome Kayaking experience, must try if you plan to visit Hatta. Suggest to reach by 3-4pm so you can start kayaking by 4:30 -5 during winters to enjoy the sunset.

One of the beautiful dam in UAE.Surrounded my sceneric mountains.Hatta lake is the main water source of the Dam.Parking is provided below the dam and we have to climb the whole mountain. For health oriented people it may be fun to hike, but for others it can be a hurdle. For elder people & family, some times they allow to send the car at the top of the dam to drop them there.There is a kayaking station as well, which you can buy tickets from the dedicated counter. Also a small grocery with less items to purchase with like water, ice cream and face masks.A must visit place in UAE

1/ dont go on a hot day 🥵2/ dont go on a busy day3/ parking is down the hill (you can drip off family), and dam is a 5 minute walk up the hill.4/ get the doughnought with motor5/ the lifeguards (who dont wear life vests themselves) constantly harass people to keep theirs on. Normally its probably OK, but when its +40° Celsius, its an unreasonable request. Most people know how to swim, and you dont allow swimming anyway. Where is the logic?! Need to adjust the rules. It completely takes away from enjoyment of the activity.6/ there is nothing spectacular about about lake or the scenery if you have been to any natural lakes in the mountains.7/ definitely not worth a 2hr drive from Dubai. Can skip, unless you are already in the area and need another activity.

Enjoy some kayaking and hike around the mountains while taking some nice shots of the blue water in between those Rocky Mountains.

Lovely view of the dam and the sunset behind it. We went at around 4pm & the sun was still high up so any photos taken with the dam is against the light. 😆Highly advisable to bring a bottle of water and a jacket - during this time, it will be colder up in the mountains. Also, there’s only a limited parking at the top. If the area is full, there’s a huge parking space below. But that means you will have to go up numerous flights of stairs. Still a view worth looking at though.Just be mindful when approaching the entrance of the dam because there’s a curved road with two lanes(two-way) that turns into one lane before you reach the huge parking space & the dam itself.

Beautiful site.I advise young people to park there cars in huge parking down the dam and use the stairs to go to the dam(slope is almost 80 degree😫).Families can park in the side walk above the dam but its not so easy to find a place.Site is very net,beautiful.Also prices in the grocery is like any where else (2drhs the coffe,4drhs the glace..)You can rent a kayak , boat , flotting pool.Adventure worst to visit the place.All places in Hatta are green and lots of flowers and palm tree.

The place was good but not for this weather. If you don’t want to do kayaking and wants to touch water then there is no way to do it. Rude people handle the kayaking over there.

Amazing ride to Hatta Dam from Dubai. Must visit place for a hill station experience in UAE. Not much to do here though but good for nature loving folks. They have some small activities in the Hatta lake but was closed when we visited.Ample parking space.Do drive to the top of the dam for breathtaking views.

Have visited the place several times. Just went for a night drive. The new roads coming are superb. The place was so cold and full of people.
