Its a nice dam. You can walk up to the top where the dam is and take kayaks to go around. There are also other folrms of boats which are motor operated for 5+ people. Multiple options and suitable for the family. Just make sure you plan to wait or go early. We waited for 3 hours almosy

A totally different landscape from what we know when someone speaks about Dubai. This place belongs to Dubai, too. At least geographically. The area is surrounded by hils and rocky mountains. The region is greener than the rest of the emirate of Dubai. Unfortunately there is a mass tourism hence the traffic is crazy to and from there. Dubai municipality has to think about a solution such as park and ride where people have to park their cars outside of this area and travel the last mile by public transportation. Other than that the place is beautiful.

Nice place to experience kayaking with family and friends. Early morning is preferable compared to evening as evening it becomes too much rush and heavy traffic

Make sure youre well stocked for water and wear waking/hiking boots. You can buy water at the place where you can hire page boats using cash or card (make sure you go to the container if paying by card). Note there are no bathrooms (only in main section).
