I had a phenomenal dinning experience here.Tried some of the Special Menu that Wakame Dubai has created using fresh and local produce from the Waterfront Market.Top notch food and atmosphere. The Lobster is to die for. It was fire 🔥🔥.A big shout out to the manager Mr. Hitesh Shetty and our waiters, service we received was so amazing. They made us feel welcomed. Thank you for the giving us an amazing experience. 🤗🤗🤩🤩Definitely a 5️⃣🌟 rating.

Such a bad experience unfortunately. I attended a private event last weekend . the venue and food was amazing also the staff was nice. However the manager Black Well was very unprofessional and can’t believe his attitude, specially when the event was women only and he entered the ladies section with 4 men before we leave, this totally unacceptable In our culture here in Arabic world! He was very rude and unprofessional, plus we informed them about the event that there will be a live music which was paid for and he forgot to apply for the permit!! There for the event was over an hour late to start.I personally don’t think he should work in hospitality industry with this kind of attitude.

Went their on friday night 17/09/2021. I had a booking at 9:30, I reached the restaurant and I was surprisingly shocked that an event is going on! I asked the employee and he doesn’t have an answer. I asked for the manager, and he told me that he’s sorry but he doesn’t know what to do. Supposedly the event should be up until 9 but they stayed more than the agreed time. The least thing that they could’ve done is to call the people who have booking at that time and inform them. Anyways I didn’t get the table, didn’t try the resturant, it’s my first time to this restaurant and had a very bad experience. Thank you wakame.

Such an amazing place. Incredible atmosphere , friendly staff, good drinks and the food... the food 😁 wow!The service is outstanding and organized, the food came fast and the dishes kept coming one after the other.Dislike: the Sea Bass wasnt as usual, according to a person who tried it before. However they did offer to change it.

Wakame has its ups and downs. Some visits it’s amazing & others it’s just average. I wish it has a bit more consistency.Easy to find a table though.

Wakame is great restaurant. It’s a spacious fine dining Japanese restaurant perfect for celebrating special occasions. I was surprised by Wakame’s burrata eggplant salad, it tasted delicious. And even from the finger-sized lobster tacos to the new-style carpaccios and sashimis to the bao and other hot dishes, they were all insanely flavourful.

Great food. Great service. But they give you a reservation but they don’t have a table. They let you wait in the restaurant when you come in with a reservation for a table.

Cosy and trendy decor and ambiance. Good and friendly service. Food is fusion Chinese and Japanese so dim sum, sushi and so on. From my perspective the food was very heavy. Many items including sushi were heavily mixed with mayonnaise. Some items had different flavours that do not match; barbecue sauce for example with truffle. Overall, I didn’t like it

Thoroughly recommend trying out Wakame Dubai. We visited Dubai last week and had the most delicious meal 2 nights in a row! The Calamari hotpot was the best I’ve had anywhere and the wagu sliders were sensational! Not to mention the desserts! Service, presentation and ambiance were awesome and the lovely waitress brought the head chef Shane out to meet us on our second visit.Thanks Wakame Dubai👍🏻

Great Asian food restaurant

This, is, the, place, to, be; period. The restaurant is beautifully designed for socializing, meeting, greeting, first date, and just plain hanging. The food is Awe-maxing. I have no idea where they come up with the idea for all the delicious dishes, but you will not be sorry. Since COVID-19, they’ve been creating mouth-watering dishes for their customers to order out. So, YES, they deliver. Oh, an since they eased up on the lockdown, due to Ramadan, you can reserve a table. Of course they are following social distancing rules. Just make sure you follow the rules when you visit.

The food is great and the place is big so there’s enough room for everyone plus social distancing. Try crunchy prawn tempura, lobster taco, wagyu sliders, and the wagyu beef

Great food & service. I got the crispy tempura maki, eggplant burrata & lobster tacos. The tacos are extremely small.not worth their price tag. Overall good food.

Very disappointed. Extremely bad service. I dont think I will eat here again.Nothing is worth being treated badly .. even if the food was great .. which it was. Food was great :)Despite reserving a table and confirming twice, I found out that the table was given away just before I arrived (on time btw).Then, and more importantly, the server did not bother to sound welcoming or be of help at all.. seemed like she didnt want to talk and just wanted us to get over with the order, as if it was holding her from something.

Wakame is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Dubai. I think that they have perfected their food from the appetizers all the way to desserts. The drinks are also works of art and not only look pretty but tastes amazing as well.The service is impeccable with the waiters and managers checking up on us from time to time. This is a great spot especially for quiet dinners and date nights.Overall, loved everything and would highly recommend 👍🏼

Absolute favorite dish was the new age sushi.The rest of the dishes were good but we expected more from all the hype.Great staff and waiter super friendly and welcoming.

One of my favorite modern Japanese restaurants in town, and one that Ive been visiting for years, only to always walk away consistently satisfied. From the mocktails to maki rolls to main courses, Wakame have always been a safe and reliable choice to take dinner guests to.

My first time here and I was amazed by how friendly their member of front of house staff was. From the moment we entered, during our meal and until we left. My partner was left delighted at how attentive the staff were and well definitely come back again. Highly recommended.

Of course the ambiance is great and chic. However I believe it is a bit of overrated. It was my first time in Wakame and I ordered a variety of wild salmon Makis and a salmon Zukuri. I would say there are plenty of restaurants out there serving tastier food.

The place was much better in the past but now not as good but still ok. I hope it goes back like before.Not sure if it’s because of COVID they can’t get their supply from abroad or there might be changes in the kitchen.The manager is a very gentleman and very nice, stopped by and was very curious to get our feedback.But still they have a nice mix of plates that’s good and worth trying, it’s more of 4 stars but am giving them 3 stars so they take it seriously and fix their problems.

Booked a table for two for my wifes birthday, turned up and informed reception that we had a table booked under the name, she asked for how many people? (Strange question to ask considering it was booked for 2)Anyway walked through the restaurant and told sit here which was a random table for 6, hostess lookimg for whatever table was availableZero class at all,

Not too fancy but very luxurious interior makes you feel comfortable. The food is pretty much fusion JAPANESE but not authentic one however it has very nice taste. I ordered Salmon Sashimi Salad and has exquisite richness in flavor. Chef’s selection of ice cream was also nice!

Food and ambiance are fabulous as usual! The fusion makis are very ingeniously crafted... must try!

We dined here on a Thursday night and it was pretty crowded. The food was good but the Japanese dishes were ok as they lacked authenticity, the makis were topped with mayo which I do not prefer. However, we got the special of ribs risotto and it was very good.

Quite the romantic atmosphere, and the food was delicious. but, when it comes to the price, I would not recommend this place in a million years. They might have served me the best burgers ever. However, I dont think they were reasonable when they decided to price a bowl of rice with beef at 250 AED. I would recommend this place if budget is not a concern to you.

Tasty food and well presented. We liked our choices, Crispy Duck Salad, Shrimp and Scallops Siu Mai, softshell crabs, and Calamari.Both the salad and siu mai were great!The calamari is different than what I had encountered in the past, they do not have as a heavy coating than others.Thr softshell crabs are fried and came with two sauces, wasabi in mayonnaise and hoisin sauce. We like the wasabi in mayonnaise sauce better.Highly recommended!

I spent my new year’s eve at this venue and thinking it would be amazing. But it went TERRIBLE because of their poor service and staff that seem not in the hospitality due to their rude attitude. We arrived at the venue around 8:30 pm, imagine waiting for our dinner for TWO HOURS to get a starter that wasn’t even served as how many we were at that time! After the starter, we waited again for another 40 mins to get the main course! How terrible was that? We paid for a package and we supposed to get 4 course meal but only had 3 and it was almost midnight we never had the dessert! It was such a dreadful experience for my friends and I. I would NEVER ever ever recommend this place, ever to any of my friends!

Very bad during the pandemic, the restaurant was one of the best before now the whole process is bad they are allowing people without masks inside the restaurant and aren’t really taking care I would not go back there again. The UAE government have done a good job and put measures but I don’t think they are listening. Sanitizers are everywhere but if they are letting people in the restaurant while not wearing a mask what’s the point of a sanitizer.In regards to the food I think they are cost cutting as the food was a bit funny, not sure if it’s the ingredients or the chef but the quality has gone down by a huge margin.Looking at how it is now I don’t think I’ll be going there anymore.Will always keep the good memories of this restaurant but wouldn’t recommend anyone trying it now.

For NYE 2021 we had an amazing experience with set menu and unlimited drinks! At midnight we had access to the pool at the 5th floor to watch the burj Khalifa fireworks.Thanks to bite club Dubai for organization and amazing package!

Disappointed from the management of the restaurant, kept waiting for more than 45 minutes, while i came before the reservation time and i have waited after my reservation time. And the manager was apologizing and giving promises without any action, they send people to wait in another restaurant. First time to have this bad experience in all dubai restaurants!!

Went here on a late Friday afternoon and surprisingly it wasn’t that busy, it’s always a pleasant surprise coming here as they have some or the other new menu to tempt you. I love their Sushi, the Dimsum and the matcha fondant.Definitely a must try Japanese restaurant!

Definitely one of the best Asian restaurants in town. Their delivery service is outstanding - the fact that their online delivery menu caters to Dubai and Sharjah is just amazing. Plus points for their very courteous delivery guy. The packaging is just beautifully done and makes each customer feel taken care of. And most importantly, the food is high quality. Every dish was brimming with flavor and freshness. My family couldn’t stop raving about how delicious the food was. Order any of their bento boxes and thank me later. Absolutely 10/10 would recommend.

Have been to Wakame a couple of times and never have I had a disappointing meal. I loved the fact that they keep changing their menu and keep introducing new dishes, they have a quite a good clientele and I wish they open a couple of more branches.The place is huge, and so is the menu. The food options are insane and I love to visit this place with a few friends so I get to try more of their delicious food.It’s good to make a reservation especially for dinners as this place gets busy, and it’s hard to get a table. Awesome Place for Food lover..

This is my 2nd visit to the restaurant. First time in July 2019 and the 2nd January 2020. The food is perfect I can not say more ! And I love the atmosphere very calm not loud and noisy no loud music and the employees are so friendly and they are always smiling. And the best thing that if u need to smoke they have a smoking room right next to it where you can drink and smoke.
