My family and I have been to Sumo, motor city branch many times. We like the wide variety of sushi options. Everything we tried was flavorful. Sumo’s rewards application is great! We get a free dish from the reward points almost every time 😃 👍🏻

I ordered several types of sushi from MakiMaki, the sushi was delicious and I was very impressed how quickly it was delivered,using good quality raw fish and fresh ingredients they made a very good sushi combination. I definitely will order again and will offer to my friends.

Ordering regularly from the place. It is not bad, but not consistent at all. Sometimes the food comes fresh and great, but other times like on the photo below😔

24 June - First time in this branch. Parking is quite challenging but not a big issue. Place is small and only a few customers can dine in and they make sure they adhere to the safety measures. Hand sanitizers are abound, the place looks busy with a lot of food delivery guys waiting outside. Everything they use is disposable - plate, cup and the soy sauce container are plastic- unlike in another branch we usually frequent they use glass/ceramic ware. Donna was friendly and attentive and gave good service. We had 3 orders of makis and because of the app and coins we collected, we only paid like maybe half of the total bill. Nice app and benefits.The size of the makis for the super California roll and sweet potato crunch is smaller.Overall it’s still good but the size of the makis was smaller.

Badly managed, and because of that very bad food.Cold food was warm, warm food was cold1h45 delivery time instead of indicated 40-50 minutes.Food brought back untouched for refund, only to find out that the airconditioning was not working, and to see Sushi being rolled in 30 degrees.Never again.

The worst order in my life for my whole 6 years in UAE! They made that 1,5 hour longer then was promoted in Careem app! When I was calling to hit lines - they were cutting the line in order do to answer!! Then when I finally reach them they lied to me that food is in the way! But I had a chat with a captain and he said that it is not truth and they were neglecting a time to prepare my order by telling him that they are busy! Don’t equate your time with them and order somewhere else when sercive is caring about customers! P.S: Moreover they made a wrong delivery!!! In stead of California they placed twice other one!!

Received my order with one missing roll and two different rolls. Contact motor city branch they said we will send you next time when you order because we don’t have drivers now !!!!!It’s the third time I order from motor city branch and always there is a problem by missing or sending rolls or delay in delivery. Food not fresh and you can feel the different when you order from media city branch. You can mention that they want to finish there duty and go home, if you order after 10 pm you lost 👎🏻.Also the same happened to me yesterday 18/9/2021 delay in delivery one hour fifty min, food disgusting we didn’t even eat it or smell it. Ordered thought talabat and no one helped me. Called the motor city branch manager she said we didn’t have any order from talabat then I received the order 15 min later

Oh my. This place hit all the right spots. My sushi craving has been cured. Will definitely be back. Fast service. Fresh fish. I’m a happy person.

Everybody knows Sumo Sushi, never disappoints. But chefs platter from the Motor City location was way above expectation. Fabulous solution for a party, super fresh and great variety. It was eaten too fast to take photos)) But most impprtantly Id like to praise customer service at the outlet. Grace, branch manager, handled my complaint to Zomato immediately and I was sent another portion of dynamite shrips (by mistake my sumo size didnt arrive). We are not spoilt with customer service in Dubai, so most gratrful for taking it serioisly and being so responsive. Youve got one very happy returning customer here. And regards to the chef for amazing food!

We were served by Mr. Roshan and he was very helpful. The food was great and the location is nice. Restaurant was clean and well maintained. Food was great too. We had Ramen which we liked and would try it again. Free parking is available at the back of the restaurant. Recommended to all.

Excellent sushi selection. Great service from Roshan. Please note Sumo gets a lot of delivery orders so you may not experience a restaurant atmosphere on site but the food is worth it!

First time in this branch, small seating capacity inside but still comfortable. Food is always good. Car park is at the back of the building tho ,you need to walk to the resto. still manageable :)Our server Hosam is very friendly .thank you

Apart from service and quality of food they need to fix the air conditioning. Most important they are still serving food in disposable plates and spoons. Other sumo branches eg. Jebel Ali Festival centre serve in regular plates. This really affects the enjoyment of the food.

Tasty miso, pity they are giving it in plastic. But there is always a place for improvement. Nice service Roshan :)This time i got this amazing miso from Purity. Everything was very nice as usual !OMG! This Miso Is becoming better every time I come here ! Purity is serving it in traditional Japanese style. Amazing !I’ve appeared here again and the sushi is even better!

Excellent service and the was food reasonably priced. Dona our waitress was very friendly and efficient.

Good value for money, especially the Bento Boxes. The quality of food has been consistent over the years, so no complaints there. Only complaint would be tight seating arrangement and parking. There is some parking in the back but not dedicated to Sumo and mostly reserved spots for others, so it can be a hassle.

This is one of our favorite katsu bento....and the staff (Roshan) are so friendly and professional.
