I am Italian and love my countrys food, the only problem is that its very hard to find in Dubai the right balance between fine dining and genuine Italian food. The latter very rare to get.Gusto is the best choice I found in Dubai and its worth a drive to Deira to give it a try.The chef is Italian, southern and passionate, and will not disappoint you with seafood. On top of it the view of the creek is absolutely stunning. What else you need to know?

Positive notes: This is a very nice new restaurant with a panoramic view of Dubai Creek on the top floor of a new and elegant hotel.Equipped with an outdoor terrace and with very attentive and courteous staff.Negative notes: we wanted to eat Italian in a restaurant with an Italian chef. This is why I phoned in advance to find out if the chef was Italian and I was told yes.In reality the Italian cook was not there (only for today I was told) and only for today I would say that the preparation of the food was not up to our expectations and, just for today, our judgment is not fully positive.

The restaurant is located in the Hotel Al bandar rotana creek on the 18th floor. As a hotel guest, we were guests in the restaurant twice and we liked it very much. The staff is very courteous and very attentive. The price is appropriate for the quality of the food. In the dark you have a great view of the Dubai skyline and the creek
