WORST AC EVER!!! AFTER COVID-19, EVERYBODY IS SWEATING HERE BECAUSE IT’S TOO HOT!! After I spoke with the manager of this branch,I don’t know if it’s the managers fault or the whole fitness first management! But really, it’s unbelievable how everyone is sweating here on the machines! Btw the ac is terrible for around one month, and they didn’t fix it till now!! REALLY IT’S NOT GOOD FOR THE PUBLIC HEALTH!!!

I give this facility one star due to the hot climate inside the facility day and night, if you can’t work on a hot place +27 degree do not think to go there in summer time.I have spoken to front desk many times and they keep saying “ we are working with the building management to fix it” this has been the case for weeks and nothing is really happening. At minimum they they should bring some fans or mobile coolers to provide that minimum comfort to their customers. I will not renew my membership in this place unless the AC is fixed.Update: the AC is fixed and now I’m enjoying the workout at Fitness first. Thank you for making this happen.

The best thing the swimming poolEasy location to accessGym need more equipments

This fitness first facility is Small but with great swimming pool open to sky. It is not temperature controlled though.The location is great for all people who are working or living in Tecom area. The parking is available for free ( 1.5 hours only ) then you have to pay. The parking outside is a big challenge and cannot be found easily.The building itself is very modern and has few restaurants and cafes options.Fitness first has been always a good Gym facility and this particular one is great one because of the location and the swimming pool.It gets too crowded - especially in the evening, where you have to alternate on the equipments with many people.Highly recommended for people who live in the area and for neighbours who can walk to it.

This is my fav place and most convenient one. When gym is far you hate to go. Gym and work in same building is icing on a cake.

Ive been a member of FF since they opened up in the UAE, in 2004.I very much loved the gym, till it was taken over by Landmark. Then things started going bad, and all turned about making the most money with the least investment. Equipment is breaking down on a weekly basis, AC is limping, staff (helpful and courteous) is demotivated/uninterested, hygiene is poor, COVID physical distance is not respected. Trainers are squeezed to generate as much revenue as possible and they are undervalued. The main reason I stay is because of my trainer and the proximity to work, otherwise I would be long gone.

I have subscribed to the 3+2 Months free membership last year and due to pandemic and covid 19 issues i could not attend the GYM, i never went to the gym during that 5 months and i asked the guys to pause my membership since they called me many times ... and after taking the vaccination i decided to go back and re-gain my member ship (paying extra money) now as they approved it ... and unfortunately they (Mr./Miss Foham) said i lost my membership in the gym, i believe they should have some patience with the old loyal members and due to the pandemic they should be little more considerate.

The place is divided very will each ull find what u want, pool is so good for practicing, pool side area contains street workout bars

Awesome place to structure your body.Fantastic variety in equipments.Trainers are well qualified and equipped to handle your physic needs.Nice long swimming pool.Classes are plenty to choose from.I did the full body scan for pre check up, it shows your body dimensions, bmi etc.

Too crowded during peak hours. Eventhough its a platinum sub it is smaller in size relative to, say the one in festival city. Some basic equipment are missing, like the seat row weight machine. However, if you go off peak hours the place is nice and has a swimming pool, plus there are many group classes.

Worst fitness first branch. Their parking rules are absurd and you can really have a brunt of heavy charges if u decide to workout longer.They say 90 min are free but actually they are not. I ended up spending 35aed only because I used the gym for 2 hours! They don’t want you to workout longer or attend 2 classes or do cardio after a class, you end up being forced to pay for each minute. Forget 90 minutes, not a single minute free. Wrongly informed and v unhelpful receptionist.Staff is v unclear and unhelpful.

Be careful before you register here, this club has a bad management and they changing the words after you join, they might offer you a free months then drop it after you join, and they will tell you some fake roles only to skip your month, so again be careful and try to avoid FF at all.

I sent email as per the reply from gym and nothing happenedI have been in Dubai for nearly 14 Years now. I joined Fitness First in 2007 then terminated my membership around 2015 due to many problems they had and their renovation specially to DMC Branch was not good, they didn’t want to invest any money in buying couple of Dumbbells in Knowledge Village Branch which was closed. I even used to go to Oasis Mall Branch then they made changes to it. They opened a new branch in AlBrasha which was very small and not good. IBM Branch was crowded so was not going to it. So I had to terminate my membership at that time. I will do a separate review for each Branch including Nakheel Mall.Now the review below for DMC Branch which I re-joined almost 1 year or so back but not going to renew membership for different reasons.I am not going to renew membership with the gym since they are not letting me pay the lowest price due to fault from their side. Since I didnt pay before 30 November 2020.I wanted to renew my membership for 3 Months but I wanted the Freeze to be free. Last Year I travelled for nearly a Month and didnt freeze membership. Their Sales staff said that I have to pay for freeze which I refused. So he said it is up to me. I actually send them email about and they only replied yesterday late that the freeze is free so I was correct to say it should be free but I have pay only before 30 November 2020 so I told them that if there Sales told me on Friday that the freeze would be free I would have paid the special price before 30 Nov 2020. They refused that I pay 1 Dec 2020 with the special price. So I refused to go and pay and also didnt like to pay through a link.I am not frequently using the gym as I do the Weight Training in TKMA. I just use the gym as secondary option. I do the Cardio at the Nakheel Mall Branch since I am Titanium Member.The gym is not that good to do weight training either due to it is small and limited in machines and also the Dumbbells are not good at all they are very big so it is not good to have a good grip on them. Also limited number of Barbells. I done only one time the Body Balance Class on Friday but didn’t go again. Didn’t try the other classes. It is always full and the app is not good to use. Also I found the classes are too noisy so if you working out it is bit annoying.The Parking is free but for 90 mins which wouldn’t be enough to do Weight Training and Cardio after it. If you will join a Class which is 45 mins or 60 mins will also not be good to do any weight training before or after or any Cardio or to use the pool since the 90 mins free parking will not be enough. In weekdays it is nightmare to find a parking outside the gym as no space. Only in Weekends you can find a space and then the parking is free mostly on Friday and Saturday sometimes it is free and sometimes not. Not sure why is that. The entrance and exit to the parking is small and you could find it difficult if another car is going in or coming out.I have been not going almost at all to this Branch and going to Nakheel Mall just to do the Cardio and will have a separate review for it as mentioned.

It is very good branch with its staff, and facilities.the only problem Id emphasize is the 90 mins parking. It is very inconvenient.If its fixed it will be my favorite fitness first center.

It was one my favorite club until one day someone unlocked my locker,went though all my belongings open my wallet and stole just cash. Reply I’ve got -they do not responsible for what happened. And it is not about money, wherever, just can not go back to the place where I do not feel safe. Luckily my membership almost expired. Thank you for helping to decide to not renew it:)

Nice club, a lot space, group exercises - it’s something!! Especially BodyAttack with Hamza on Tuesday evening. Bootcamp - as well !! Enough parking near by.

Could be a lot nicer!Went today and was told the pool is not available for maintenance, yet no information about this is posted anywhere. The weights area has bad ventilation and smells. Cleanliness and smell of the changing room leave a lot to be desired..Real shame as this could be a better place with some care and attention.

Great gym, good variety of machines and lots of cardio equipment + good swimming pool and sauna. Nice staff.Cons: horrible sewage smell especially downstairs where all the weights are. Not enough benches for the standard barbell bench presses (theres only 1). Locker locks dont always work as intended.Edit: further cons: dumbbells and plates are scattered around, and people dont re-rack them (not really a fault of the gym but maybe impose stricter regulation?)Some of the plate locks dont work well.Most of the bars/plates need to be lubricated again. The plates do not slide easily onto the bars.

One of Fitness First Branches in Dubai located in the busiest business center in Dubai , Media City.The facility is huge , on two levels, with separated areas for weights , cardio , rooms for private classes and group sessions.The location makes the facility really busy 6 pm onwards but during daytime , its great to enjoy a full workout.It also has an outdoor swimming pool.

If you have ever been to this gym. It is a sauna. The air condition never works. At least keep the gym at room temperature. Maybe fitness first management thinks we wont notice the temperature is above 27 degrees Celsius. Seriously guys pls fix the air conditioning. And ffs dont get me started on the 90 minute parking limit. Its a joke. Im extremely dissapointed in fitness first. More like costs first fitness first my bum

I was a member for 3 years. For the same money you can get a better value elsewhere, especially abundance of gyms in the Al Qouz area. The gym has a very commercial feel to it and it is just inconvenient to train there. When you try other places you will know what I mean. Many wannabe muscle-builders who take over the equipment in the weight lifting area like they own it. Pool is nice, showers arent always clean, changing room is good. Service is just okay. Even after I asked them not to call me as I wont be needing a gym in Dubai anymore, they kept calling me once every couple of months so I blocked their number. Their marketing strategy is too tacky.

Crazy crowded at all decent hours to work out during the day. Location is the only reason I joined the gym. Not big enough for the number of members they have.

The place is good and the machines are okay, insanely great pool. But the problem is the parking, whereas if you were to visit and wanted to use the parking you are allowed to stay for 90 minutes only, which us too little assuming you want to workout and shower. So if u stay one 1mintue more than 90 mintues then you will have to pay 25 dirhams

Ive been a member of this gym since 2009, not planning to change as the gym has most of machines that i need, in addition it was renovated very recently and i must say the change is amazing especially the free training area. The downside of fitness first not particular to this club, they never appreciate their members (no member retention program) although the mArket has seen many interesting gyms which have similar facilities or better.

Nice, big, well equipped gymnasium. It sports a 25meter open swimming pool, which is rarely busy. On the other hand, the free weights, machines and cardio areas are almost always crowded.

Pretty poor quality franchised gym, always trying to charge you more money for their errors in the T&C’s. There’s better alternatives that treat customers a lot better & have better customer service.

FRAUD:: The outdoor swimming pool has no heating and since mid October he water is FREEZING. Now its impossible to swim. The management does not inform about it when you are to join the club. its cheating!!

Overall great. As highlighted by someone showers are annoying as only hot wasted comes out. Definitively a recurrent. The rest is good.

I rented a cabinet and paid for one year extra money. After the expiry they removed my valuable cloth and other expensive gadgets and no one knows where they are. Somebody was supposed to call today but what do you expect. This is the worst gym ever now. I am a member since it opened more than 10 years back and canceling my membership from today. The last change in ownership made the GYM cares only about your credit card. I advice any remaining members to move to other gyms as there are many good ones.This gym will never learn as it is run by unqualified staff and management. Showers were bad. Either scalding hot or freezing water no matter where the tap turned! Not good.

The facilities at Fitness First Media Centre are obsolete and run down, albeit quite clean (except the showers). The saunas are very small and the steam room does not work properly most of the time.

When you are at the sauna at Fitness First Media City it is extremely loud. You can hear the spinning class instructor shouting as if he was next to you. Not the best way to relax!! And Staff does nothing.
