I thank Dr Qasem heart fully. I have been consulting him for my daughter for the past 2 years. He is an excellent pediatric ophthalmologist I have ever met . I , myself a gynecologist, and I must say he is a wonderful clinician , examines his patient in a very detailed fashion, highly professional and his approach towards the children is amazing . He listens to our queries very patiently and answers them scientifically however trivial they might be. Staff is very cooperative. Overall our experience with Imperial healthcare was very nice .

I was very nervous about getting cataract surgery done. A friend recommended Dr. Gaubas Clinic and I went with much trepidation. I cannot tell you enough how brilliant an experience it was. After meeting the Doc, I was feeling comfortable enough to agree to the procedure. This was further strengthen when I met the team and observed the efficient, competent and compassionate way they managed the entire process. Not only do these guys know what they are doing, they are also kind and patient. A very rare trait to find these days. Frankly, I could probably write a 1000 word essay on what a brilliant experience I had with them. Instead, I will just say, if you are scared and you need something done with your eyes, Please close them and head straight to Dr. Gaubas clinic. You wont regret it.

I’ve done a ptosis surgery with Dr. Vinod Gauba, Dr Vinod is very skilled and professional with a very friendly attitude, he is receptive to all questions and concerns and willing to address them. I have visited 9 drs before Doctor Vinod, each doctor had a different opinion since my procedure was a bit different than standard cases. Dr Vinod’s approach was very logical and he exactly explained the stages of the treatment, which was different from what I got from other doctors. Already happy with the result after 10 days of the treatment. The staff are very friendly and attentive, post surgery care was good, they answer questions any time of the day.Only one negative point, waiting time at the facility is a bit long, they need to have better organization for appointments

I recently had the ICL procedure (I’m a 50+ year old male, that had mild cataracts) done at the Imperial Healthcare Institute in Dubai by Dr. Gauba and I couldn’t be more happier with the results. The Imperial staff were helpful, competent, and friendly, and made the overall experience a pleasant one. The eye exam I received was the most thorough eye exam I’ve ever had done in my life and the results of which are carefully explained. Dr. Gauba goes over every option according to the exam findings and doesn’t push you into getting anything you are uncomfortable with. Post-procedure I was well taken care of and all follow up appointments and medications were again, thoroughly explained. I would highly recommend anyone who may be thinking about getting this procedure to seek an appointment and get an initial consultation with the Imperial Healthcare Institute.

The only reason I went to this clinic was because As a child I was a patient of Dr. Vinod Gauba’s father who was an excellent doctor and human being. But what a disaster when I went to get my children and myself check at Imperial. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE Service. I first went in September 2020 for my daughter. We waited for 40 mins before they registered us. And the whole ordeal after that took us an additional 90mins. When we left the clinic to go the optician we realized that in the envelope that was handed to me saying my invoice and prescription was a part of it I was only given an invoice and NO prescription.Anyways March 2021 I took my son (giving them a second chance because of Dr. Gauba’s reputation) our appointment was for 2pm. We were asked to have a seat. 2.30pm nobody had registered us yet! It is 2.48pm I have just gone to reception and not been very kind! Let’s see how long this ordeal will continue.Would I recommend the clinic ABSOLUTELY NOT! The doctor on the other hand is a different story.

I am an implant surgeon, I went to this clinic to see Dr Quasim as he was recommended by my medical colleagues. The clinic is excellent and they went through the consent process in detail, yet the whole experience was seamless. Mr Quasim is a true professional and a very talented person. Not just because of all of his qualifications but because of his skill and knowledge. I will only ever come and see him from now on. Today I had laser surgery, and two hours later I barely know I’ve had anything done. I read a lot of good reviews about the clinic and doctor Vinod so I decided to go ahead with plasma pen procedure, but it turned out to be a disaster for me. My eyelids did not heal properly over 6 months, the redness still showed on the eyelids and the reason I went for the plasma pen because I have hooded eyes, and I want to fix it with the plasma pen procedure as the doctor recommended, but after the procedure 8 months later I have very obvious uneven eyelids, and I can’t go out of the house without eyelids sticker. Doctor Vinod told me that it’s nothing wrong with the procedure but there is a problem with my skin healing! And that I am not suitable for any laser procedure, which I believe that is not true as I did so many laser procedures and I have never have any problem with it! But in the end dr. Vinod left me to go and live on with my life with an uneven eyes and take no responsibility for it. I am sorry to give 1 star but because I won’t be able to live the same life as I did before.

Is Dr Gauba good? Absolutely without question. But is the Imperial Healthcare Institute good? Not really. They are pretty much like all other such clinics here in Dubai with the primary focus being on revenue generation rather than healthcare. This translates into a less-than-average overall experience. And there is absolutely zero follow-up once your procedure is done and they have your money. And I mean literally zero. For me, the overall process was not adequately explained up front. For Cataracts and Lens-replacement, one is not told that you will be sitting in a fridge for 3+ hours before the procedure. One is not told that you will need to visit the following day for follow-up. These are important points for patients who may suffer from the cold and who have busy schedules. Communication is in general limited to a few essentials. And it is not just me - I spoke to two other people who had surgery here and both said exactly the same thing. For example you are not told if you can open your eyes after surgery or when you can. And the surgical-tape on the plastic eye-cap does not stay sticky enough and falls off before long but they do not provide you with a spare roll. Cleanliness...a long-black hair I saw on the washbasin in the toilet was still there in exactly the same place the following, day almost 24 hours later. This does not inspire confidence in the cleanliness of the clinic. As for the procedure itself, as I said at the start, the team is 100% professional and everything is explained as it progresses. At this crucial moment you know are in the hands of the very best. A brief moment of sunshine in an otherwise gloomy overall experience. If I could go back and choose - I would have waited and researched the procedure more carefully - I feel they rushed me through it to take my money. My advice is, if you are seeking (or advised to seek) a procedure that is irreversible (like lens-replacement) - go elsewhere for a second opinion, and do your own homework by consulting with others who have done it. Do NOT rely on the Imperial Healthcare institute for advice - they are absolutely driven by money primarily. As is evidenced by their complete lack of after-care follow up.EDIT: My initial review remains untouched for all to read. You would imagine these companies would choose their words carefully in responding, to attempt to heal and repair.With regards to your comment on follow up, you clearly did not read what I said. “For me, the overall process was not adequately explained up front. For Cataracts and Lens-replacement, one is not told that you will be sitting in a fridge for 3+ hours before the procedure. One is not told that you will need to visit the following day for follow-up.” And your reply tries to catch me out since I did in fact attend the following day. The point is you did not tell me this until the day of the surgery – hence I was forced to make arrangements at the last minute. You had weeks to tell me how it was going to happen. So no you are not very clever in your attempt to “catch me out”. Actually a rather pathetic response. And no, I was not travelling – I was waiting for the results of a covid-test – which I clearly told you. So exactly how long do you think a covid-test result takes – even back then? A few days? A week? A month…8 months?Regarding the “rushed” comment – yes as I said that was my fault for not doing my homework. But did you explain that I would have dry irritable eyes for years to come? No. Did you contact me to find out if I was satisfied with the surgery? Well not since then – 8 months ago.Temperature – instead of explaining this AS A RESPONSE TO A REVIEW, how about you explain this to your patients IN ADVANCE OF ATTENDING A SURGERY? Who knows maybe they would bring something warm to wear while they WAIT FOR HOURS - THAT YOU ALSO NEGLECTED TO MENTION?And now I am going to contact two other people I spoke to who have a very similar story to tell, and encourage them to share too.

I was very apprehensive at the thought of anyone ‘fiddling’ with my eyes but had honestly got to the end of my tether with my eyesight (or rather the lack of it). My frustrations were increased due to the essential and necessary wearing of masks due to Covid19 resulting in steamed up glasses.Prof Vinod was recommended to me by another friend. I visited Dr Qasem at the Imperial Healthcare Institute after purchasing contact lenses from another optometrist that caused an irritation in my right eye. Dr Qasem told me to immediately stop wearing the lenses as the other optometrist had given me the incorrect prescription that was damaging my right eye. Having worn lenses for over 20 years, it was time to either switch to glasses or try the SupraLASIK laser vision corrective treatment. I did not want to go for laser treatment in my home country as the treatment available there entailed the cutting into my lenses for the correction. Dr Qasem told me about the SupraLASIK treatment that sounded like a much better option. Dr Qasem proceeded with the SupraLASIK laser treatment that was a huge success. I can highly recommend Dr Qasem for any eye condition - he is extremely thorough and professional and is highly skilled in his craft. I had my procedure done at Imperial Healthcare by Dr. Vinod Gauba . No doubt that it is the best eye center in Dubai!. They do make sure that you get the proper and right treatment that your eyes needs. I have been to alot of eye center and they had been offering different types of treatments with a very low price and beware of this! Dont risk your eyesight for a cheap ones! They got amazing staffs aswell that will let you feel your in a safe hands! I definitely can say that they are very professional and they offer the best treatment among the rest!

Dont go there. Very poor customer service. They will charge you as a high class clinic, but you will receive nothing but arrogance and unprofessionalism. We have made an appointment a week in advance. But spent more than 3 hrs just waiting for Dr vinod gauba to accept us. And he didnt give us any clear answer. He promised to send us all the details by email. But nothing has been sent. We have called the clinic several times. And they keep on saying different stories and excuses. Who is the manager in this clinic ? Very disappointed. Will never go there again and dont recommend anyone to go there.

I went to Dubai to do a supralasik surgery to correct my eye sight. The procedure was thoroughly explained to me prior to the surgery which took 15-20Minutes. The following 2 days after the surgery was a bit painfull, after that it was a speedy recovery. The staffs at the clinic were very helpful and The principla DR and surgeon Dr Vinod did a good job. Keep it up!

I have never ever felt blessed before i was losing hope in my life and hate everything in the world because my cornea was very thin on both of my eyes but now everything goes well more than I expected. It is very rare to find a good professional ethical doctor here in Dubai, all the doctors i have dealt with so far here is Dubai Are Business men all what they cared for is to push you to do any procedure to bill to get as much as they can our of your pockets.Dr. Vinod is really professional and ethical doctor and one of the best Optometrists and Oculoplasty consultants you will ever find.Although i want to have a certain corrective operation that of course i will pay money for, he insists that it is not necessary and keep postpone and advise me to wait and do some exercises that may give me the result i am looking for without the need to go for an operation for the best result and to avoid any complications.Other doctors would have been very welcoming to do it for me and get thousands of dirhams in returnAlso i just have a procedure to fix a problem with my lower eyelid, and it went smoothly beyond i could imagine.Not to talk about his very decent attitude and welcoming manner and the time he gives to the patient. Dr. Qasem is a wonderful Dr. he has been our family ophthalmologist for the past 2yrs, and we cant even thank him enough. We informed him about a little 7yrs old Anbiyo who is blind, orphan and never had a vision to see due to measles and some genetic factors ?. Who lived in refugees camps in Jowhar, never had proper medical check ups due to long-lasting civil war that destroyed all the institutions in her country. He is very reliable, caring, the guardian Angel of Anbiyo who is able to see close things and hopefully with time will gradually have some of her sight back inshaAllah. We thank Allah first and foremost and Dr. Qasem who was the reason this little girl was able to come to Dubai and receive the surgeries that allowed her to see for the first time in her life. There are pretty good doctors in this clinic but the assistants and nurses are pretty clueless, specially the receptionists and the people who take your appointment, I took an appointment with Dr. Vinod Gauba but they totally set me up with another Doctor saying Dr. Gauba is currently busy. to my astonishment I had to go with a forced situation, although the other Doctor was as professional but that was not what I agreed with them, after waiting for almost 2 hours and my objection they have arranged for me to see Dr. Gouba. For a hefty visitation fees that they charge at least they should provide you with some accurate appointment but they are oblivious to that. they charges are very high for appointments, they quoted me one price and when I got there they increased the amount. Not a Professional behavior.

I have worn glasses for 30+ years and due to my high prescription laser surgery was not an option. A friend with a similar prescription mentioned Dr. Gauba and her amazing results with ICL and I decided to make an appointment. Today, minus glasses, lenses and squinting I have just read the lowest line of numbers on the opticians chart in total disbelief that there are not at least 2 sets of smaller numbers to follow!! My vision is better than 20/20, its totally amazing. The procedure was quick and pain free and was supported with extensive tests both before and after and excellent nursing care. Highly highly recommended, thanks to Dr. Gauba and his team.

I had precious saw 3 different places in Dubai which I never got a good feeling with or treatment. From the first contact with the reception I was impressed about the helpfulness and reassurance from Mr. Nebyou. He responded always immediately and tried his best to get me a suitable appointment. After my first visit and the first thorough examination that I ever received in Dubai I knew I was in safe hands. I had my cataract procedure done a month ago and they put a special lens in my lazy eye. I was nervous about the procedure but after I did my first eye I was totally relaxed to start with the second eye. The whole staff is very friendly and accommodating. They keep following up.My husband had yesterday his first eye done also due to cataract and he was also very happy with all the care.I want to thank Dr. Vinod and Dr. Ilias for their patience and their professional care. An extra thank is given to Mr. Nebyou who is the first person I encountered in my 12 years living in Dubai that is attendful in getting you all the information you need. Cheaters . We went there , paid for an appointment and other procedures. Then they told us that we actually need to come again and get an appointment with another doctor , who specializes in our case .

Any idea for the operation costs?

My wife is suddenly unwell, so she came to this hospital and has been undergoing treatment for more than 3 weeks. Doctors made it easy to understand in detail and treated carefully, so I am almost completely cured. This is a must-recommend to everyone in Dubai.
