It is one of the oldest hospital in Dubai . The service and the standard is high compared to other hospitals. They still have good doctors. The nurses are friendly and supportive.they have also outside in the parking a COVID walkthrough tent for PCR . The result will be given in the next day .

Extremely horrifying experience! Don’t ever visit them especially if you have a low fever because of a visible infection!!! I Took my 4 year old son to pediatric urgent care for foot injury infection and they referred to emergency trauma. It took 30 minutes for registration & initial screening by triage nurse. Foot finger had swelling & infection due to which my son had fever. WHAT FOLLOWED WAS HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE. TRIAGE NURSE DISCUSSED WITH TEAM LEADER & TOOK US TO AIRBORNE INFECTIONS DISEASE ISOLATION ROOM. MYSELF & MY 4 YEAR OLD SON SPENT ALMOST ONE HOUR IN THAT HORRIFYING ROOM. NEITHER THEY TOOK OUR CONSENT NOR INFORMED US ABOUT THE ROOM. INFACT ROOM WAS USED WHEN WE ENTERED. DURING OUR 1 HOUR STAY IN THE ROOM DOCTOR VISITED ONLY FOR 45 SECONDS (YES, 45 SECONDS). HE DIDN’T ASKED WHAT/WHEN HAPPENED TO MY CHILD BUT SIMPLY INFORMED NURSE WILL GIVE MEDICINE! ITS MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE ON PART OF ALL STAFF OF HOSPITAL! SHEER NEGLIGENCE AND UNPROFESSIONAL SOP. I raised this issue with Nurse Supervisor and waited to talk to her for 20 minutes but she didn’t came instead I got her on phone and complained about the negligence. Her reply was they will look in to quality improvement! How come Only 1 doctor was available for attending all patients in emergency department? As per AH Dubai Is Every fever COVID? We spent 2 hours just to get 45 seconds consultation with GP doctor!!!

This used to be my favorite hospital for over a decade. It took more than 7 hours to get admission in the covid ward. The rooms had stains of blood on the floor, nurses would wake you up at 6 in the morning and you could barely rest.I personally had to request the CEO to see what is gone wrong with the hospital. Everyday there were new nurses and new doctors. The IV machine was always making loud noises and no one would come to check. Even the checkout process was so lengthy. My insurance does not require and approvals but every delay was blamed on pharmacy and approvals.I wish they fix the service and bring it back to the hospital that it once used to be.

Worst hospital only interested to take your money. I had a planned procedure and the hospital waited for me to arrive to let me know it got declined by the insurance. The hospital has also charged me for things that the insurance covered. Non competent staff and rude complaint department plus no deontology of personal data. They don’t have a data protection policy not they are aware of where your digital data is stored. Pathetic hospital and a place to avoid if you want to be treated in a humane manner with compassion

Excellent physiotherapy department!I am extremely happy with the physiotherapist Lysnara who specializes in the strengthening of the pelvic floor muscles. She is extremely professional and experienced to deal with all the problems that can arise during pregnancy and was able to ease my sciatica pain within one session..! I am very satisfied with all the exercises that she teaches me to prepare for labor..I highly recommend her not only for prenatal but also for postnatal recovery...

I had the privilege of being taken care of by her through out my journey with breast cancer. She never hesitated to answer any question at any time. Good doctors “maybe” but externally poor customer services. I waited for an hour for the reception to process my request for blood test even though it was approved a week ago from insurance. Never got the result by mail even I requested and signed the form. Horrible phone service when your request is anything beyond booking an appointment. To avoid getting high blood pressure visit other hospitals instead.

Nurse named Maha in urology department is one of the worst people weve dealt with.I never complain about people but this one is something else.She enjoys making our time difficult. The hopsital has been upgraded since my last visit 10yrs back. But this time wasnt happy with quality service of primary care dept. The receptionist was very rude and he care less about the patients. I was there for my fallow up appointment but can you beleive i have to wait for 45mnts no explanation at all no apologies!!! Generally the nursing and doctors were ok. Therefore i will advise anyone looking for premium quality care unfortunately american hospital is not the right place.

The PCR test is also very fast. I took the test in consideration of getting on an airplane. The time to get the certificate is fast and excellent. Infection prevention measures in the facility are also solid.

We did the walk in option in to do the covid 19 test and it was pretty fast. Went early at about 8am. The process was smooth. Got our results in the mail in about 6 to 7 hours.

Came to the COVID-19 screening center, there are only 3 staff members to take care of 50 patients for check in, the management is absent and unprofessional. Last time i came to do my PCR I faced the same issue and had to personally bring down the management staff to see the shabby work that’s being done here. Prepare to wait for hours to do your test and pay triple the price.Only positive is that they usually have a fast turn around time for the tests.Horrible experience twice in a row!

I did not like my experience with Dr Rita at all. She was intimidating dismissive and rude.She has a condescending tone and just wants patients in and out and is not friendly at all. Her breast exam which was like two seconds was completely different to the lovely doctor I went to today in another hospital. Who was much more thorough and able to get me the appropriate tests within two hours, this hospital would not get me an appointment till after a month also because they have so many bookings, so much better to go to a different hospital, because here you will not get care. I will never come here again.

Absolutely terrible, we came in at 4:50 for our 5pm appointment and it was past 5:20 - meanwhile pushing the staff until they said the doctor started a procedure and they didn’t know how long it would take. How is this normal?

One of the oldest and the best hospital in Dubai. The quality of care they provide is fast and efficient. Communication wise they are all polite and well mannered. Excellent staff, especially the nurses in Primary care and OBGYN very accommodating and hospitable. Shout out to doc. Shah and Brignoni in giving a fast diagnosis and providing best solutions. I am on my way being cured 💞And even their follow ups and reminder on sms are on time.

Regarding admitted patients in ICU, smooth procedure and good follow up 24 hours.I recommend to install 2 Tesla Electric Car chargers at parking building.

I had a terrible experience with booking Cov19 vaccine with them. Called them more than a week ago. They said someone will call within 2 days to confirm appointment. No one called. Then I called them again yesterday and today. They just keep me on hold. Very bad 👎. Funny thing now is how they will reply to my review with a template response (we are really sorry. Walked in at 0705 for my COVID PCR test and was in out 10 minutes. No appointment. If you go early your finished quickly. Excellent staff and very friendly. 150 AED is the price for all.5 Stars in my book. All the negative reviews are a joke. If you get there EARLY folks no problem. All you late sleepers can only blame themselves for having to wait hours. Highly recommend

I had great experiences with the doctors here but the hospital is extremely disorganized. I could write a small book about all the things that happened but In short: loss of medical records, no clue about insurance and billing, requesting you to come and booking appointments at times when they aren’t even open…. I recommend just saving a lot of trouble and going somewhere else.

Unfortunately I have to give a low rating for pretty poor responses from the pharmacy. Called up numerous times to explain the seriousness for a particular medication, and inspite of the same getting approved by insurance no one bothers to call and inform. When I called up they say sorry we just forgot to inform!!!

Kind of an expensive experience if you are not covered by your insurance there. The doctors on the other hand are true professionalists- especially the paediatrics department. There was some waiting time for approaching the cashier as there was a queue. The blood test for a small child was flawless and the nurses were great. Overall a great experience.

I just want to thank dr Rita Sakr for taking care of me and my baby before and after my early and urgent C section. She saved our lives and was really caring and helped me all along my complicated pregnancy.

There is always big delay when it comes to appointments , the hospital has great experienced doctors and great facilities however the consistent big delays are frustrating and annoying. Especially in the orthopedic department.

I visited the American Hospital as my friend who works there recommended to give it a go. Prior to his I went to 3 different very famous hospitals but none of the doctors there was able to diagnose what was wrong with me … this is after doing endoscopy, MRI, CT scans and all sorts of blood tests . I met with Dr. MUHAMMAD TOQEER at the American Hospital in Dubai and he was quick to identify the issue looking at all the test results . He identified it as something very rare and he had seen a case like this in the U.K. . Long story short … I am now recovering and that’s all thanks to Dr. MUHAMMAD TOQEER at the American Hospital in Dubai .

One of the worst experiences Ive had with regards to patient care at a hospital; the nurses took better care than the doctors showed concern for my well-being. Had to keep asking for a consultation while being admitted in in-patient care and had to repeatedly ask for explanation of reports. Friday Im told the doctors are off duty, Saturday Im told the doctors start working late, Sunday Im told the doctors are busy. While being scheduled for two physiotherapy sessions, one session was missed without even informing or asking, and when I asked what happened to my second session, Im told I should have reminded before 6 PM and that the lady must have forgotten. what kind of hospital asks the patient to remind about the treatment they should be receiving while being admitted in one of their hospital rooms, for which they have no qualms billing my insurance about! But when it comes to patient care, everyone is too busy! Seriously, I thought I was coming to one of the best and state of the art treatment facilities in Dubai, never would I come again to this hospital, especially not for life or death situation, lest I be asked to remind them of the treatment I require!

The Breast Clinic can not get their appointments right unfortunately! It happened too many times that we get there for the appointment and either one of the doctors are not there to see their patient. We then either have to wait a minimum of 40 minutes or the appointment needs to be rescheduled. Mind you, just reaching the hospital is a 35 minute drive (one way). Not wasting my time anymore

I had the best experience and I am lucky enough to have doctor viorika Khalil my doctor and my god mother and I would never ask for a better professional , human and very well caring doctor.American hospital is lucky to have her. All the nurse staff in dyalsis and reception as Sarah are the best. They make the pain go away just with their service. Professional and high trained and very helpful. I wouldnt change the hospital at all knowing that a doctor like viorika is there. God bless her

We choose American Hospital because we know it is one of the best in UAE. I travelled from Tanzania expecting that the services in this hospital is faster than the others, because why not? They are one of the best. My Dr. from endocrinology is the sweetest and I got no complaint. Dr. Aws who did my FNA and his nurse Jomarie is so professional and so caring. The only concern i got is from the medical records. The ultrasound result came out after 2 days ( not bad) although in another hospital it just take a day, the FNA result which was done last Wednesday is (still) not available. Knowing the price that I am paying for, the services should be better.

Indeed we were not to be  disappointed as we found a first class health facility looking like a five star hotel with highly trained professionals working in serene environment and using state of the art equipments.These were very kind,courteous and welcoming men and women who took their work seriously.And they did their utmost best to make our stay a memorable one.Our thanks go to all staffs, Doctors and Nurses in particulars,especially Dr Wafa OMRI with whom we had an Amazing encounter.She only discovered much later that I was her colleague ophthalmologist.Ill recommend The AHD to anyone desiring to have an Amazing experience as they seek a relief from their various health concerns.

Very bad services. We needed the PCR results faster because we had a flight (lost) and they didnt care about this. You have to understand that we are not robots and there can be some emergencies. Our results was ready at 17:23 but they didnt sent the results at that hour, so we missed the flight.The security team was more helpful than any other hospital personal.

The worst experience ! The administration is highly unprofessional. They kept me waiting for stat 2 hrs to see the doctor although I had booked an appointment earlier. They charged me extra apparently by mistake and asked to me see the administration department for refund . Although it was their fault but they didnt bother to apologize. Anyways the administration which is situation in next building asked me to go to concerned department (urology) as it wasnt their fault. Like seriously?? I had to run from department to department to get this thing resolved .I m definitely not going to see this pathetic hospital again.

I just recently visited the American hospital in Dubai for an eye test and the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. This hospital is very clean and I highly recommend it.

My wife MRS KHUSHNIDA PERWEEN had full medical checkup at PRIMARY CARE CLINIC, Under their GOLD PACKAGE. DR MARWA attended her but we were very disappointed to see that she was only interested in making good bill. She prescribed unnecessary blood tests already included and done under GOLD PACKAGE like KIDNEY PANEL TEST etc, just to make a good bill. We would never recommend this PCC clinic or Dr MARWA to anyone or go there again.

The worst customer service ever.. no one is answering the calls.Specially their Telehealth team who I tried to reach them today for more than 5 times and unfortunately no answer.The same issue I faced couple days ago with medical records and Lab.

Absolutely the worst hospital in Dubai by far. They made us wait for the doctor for hours beyond our scheduled appointment. And then they made errors in the bill (charged extra) which then they could not rectify and asked to get medicine instead. Then the pharmacy had near-to-expiry medicines which we had to buy because the pharmacy could not return the extra paid money. They asked us to visit accounts then which was closed by the time this whole mess was unfolding. PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME IN THIS HOSPITAL!

Id been going regularly for my back physiotherapy with Athanasia at Oud Metha (shes moved since to Media city). Shes incredible at what she does and super knowledgeable. Ive had ankle pain for more than 15years. She believed my back issues were linked to my ankle and immediately advised me to see Dr. Paolo.Long story short- I am recovering from my ankle surgery after Id almost given up on trying to figure out what the issue was. If it hadnt been for her advice, I wouldnt have known. Thanks Athanasia :)

So i went with my baby to this hospital she had heavy corona symptoms- after doing a PCR test they asked me to do a registration which took almost 1 hour although we were already registered patients ,anyways the very rude nurse didnt even do the swab properly in the nose and now after almost 2 days i called and they keep telling me that we never did a pcr test even though i paid for it . Unbelievable i have no words.

The service was very unprofessional and poor. Priyata had her tele-consultation with Dr. Micaela on 9 May 2021. After the consultation, they had not sent us the prescription and the invoice. We still have to chase them and call them many times just to get those. The contact center representative kept telling us that they would callback but ended up, we were the one calling them back. For the prescription, since Dr. Micaela was on leave, I had to talk to the pharmacists and check with them how many tablets to be taken a day and how many times the cream should be applied. It was so hard to get through to them and the pharmacist I spoke with was very rude. By the sound of his voice, he wasnt willing to help but since I am already on the call with him, I asked him just tell me what was in the prescription. Overall experience was really ridiculous.

What a horrible experience, when you want to have your baby at this hospital, please think twice, no 10 times. First they messed up all my information in the system and cant locate me despite taking my money and issuing a receipt!!! imagine if they mess the babys information. Also, the staff is very incompetent, no manners, they were talking about me while the phone is on and I could hear everything, they didnt know their phone number and they didnt know how to even read whats suppose to be their job is a joke. This hospital does not present any American system, Trust me, I know!! theyll be out of service the next morning. OVERCHARGING AND UNDER DELIVERING.

Very slow in entry registration, forms where not provided on counter, he was lokking everywhere to provide us the forms. After Filling the form and signed all documents, they kept us waiting for PCR test 65 minutes!! After all this time wasted, the nurse was asking for details and name to write Manually on our samples!! Something wrong in that place. This Hospital Never used to be like this before.

Super disappointing service! I tried making an appointment for ADHD testing which they hugely advertise on their website and I was connected to four people!! The first one asked me if ADHD is a sort of blood test (???) the second person said we dont do this in our hospitalPlease educate your staff or dont advertise things on the website if you dont offer it

It’s Mother’s Day when I took my 4 month old son for vaccine. Few staff distributed little treat/gift around the hospital with a trolley, they saw me twice and decided to ignore me while everybody got one. As a first time mom, it hurts my feeling, not the gift but the disrespect.

Good experience with PCR Test. Come early in the morning around 9 o clock. Check in at the outside camp and finished the PCR test very fast. Good service and procedure. Received the result by SMS and email at the same day afternoon.

Terrible Hospital in Dubai, they want onlyYour money, no proper response from any of the staff. They are selling Brand only, not treating the patients.

The worst hospital and staff including medical and security, the most terrible experience we’ve ever had in any medical facility. I recommend you to not visit this hospital at all. They treated the unconscious patient with out referring back the their family, as well as there was a medical emergency and the patient has gone in a coma and the family was not informed.

PCR ladies have very bad attitude which i have experienced many times and now come here.

I visited the Media city clinic today and Ms Fadila helped us alot , she was smiling all the time and we really loved her energy she accommodated us very quick and she was very professional, really Thank you for hiring the right people in the right places.

The staff overall is good,you can get a bit lost because it is big! Nice mini cafe to relax. You get really nice views of Dubai when is waiting rooms.

Been patient of the American Hospital for over 15 years including my family. Recently I had a laparoscopic surgery which went very well. Wanted to share my experience; facility, doctor (Dr Hatem Moussa) are amazing!! Best in class; however, I felt the service, especially from some of nurses, was below expectations especially when it comes to information sharing. Nurses didn’t know when I was supposed to be discharged and insisted that I am supposed to stay one night; as nurses changed; I felt I am starting fresh every time!!. The worst part is the next day I was shocked at discharge asking me to pay for extra night; I felt I am being upsold!!. I ask the administration to look seriously at their service delivery; something is not connected. The dots are not connected within their teams!! It gave me a sense of uneasiness if God forbid had something serious!!

I’m super surprised this place has a 3.6 rating. It needs to be an absolute zero. Overrated!!!! Doctors sit on their pedestals and think they are the best when in fact the best ones have left the hospital looooong back.

Great service and quick turnaround for the PCR test. Absolutely no waiting time when I reached the test centre at 10 pm and the report was in my inbox within 10 hours.

I was admitted in American Hospital from 24 .04.2021 - 12.05.2021 with acute COVID pneumonia . I would like to thank all the doctors , nurses and medical staff. Specially, I would like to thank sisters Rincy Ani Alex, Mary Mathew, Jomsy Jisna Thomas, Cleris Gladein, Fraisy and sister Alchila. They came as a front liners from India to help Covid patients. They are very attentive, helpful, taking good care of patients etc. They looked after me not as a patient, but as like their mother. I want to thank all of them.

One of the best, recommended, pocket-friendly covid 19 testing centers in Dubai, accessibility ♿ for differently-abled persons with a wide parking lot, clean environment so its worthwhile no matter how long you wait to be tested.was here in October last year and thought its good to let others hear my experience too.
