Staying in the Galleria apartments, long term. Has 4 bedrooms max, penthouses available. Has a homely feel to it. From the UK, carpet definitely has a nice home touch as laminate is quite cold, with constant AC on would definitely get cold. Though can have other types of floor too I believe. Smallish though reasonable sized kitchen with electric hobs/ovens. Everything provied for, from toasters to bedding to towels to irons to cutlery. Though can use your own. House keeping twice a week, clean everything top to bottom and change bedding towels etc. Average bathroom, though small bath with a fitted shower, is hard for anyone taller than 5ft 5, have to bend a little to get under shower.Not modern or stylish, mahogany doors and furniture. Needs updating but is comfortable. Relatively clean, but not 5*, but to be expected as deep cleans arent too regular.Shared terrace upstairs, relatively ok with sunbeds, seating area and a pool though cN use the main hotel pool area too. Compared to other places in Dubai scenery isnt too great. Ice rink downstairs as well as a mini market with some Tesco branded items. Pharmacy, beauty salon, phone services, tourist shop and a few different restaurants witnin the building (25% discount for Galleria residents).. A big plus point as do not have to go out. Gym and spas within the building too. Gym included in the price package. Aerobics classes additional charge though has 25% discount also. There is a club and a cinema showing mainly indian films within the building too. Small garden area and large tennis courts outside.Car parking available. Can get stuck in heavy traffic, especially when exiting. Always see and hear a plane up in the air whatever time of the day or night, though isnt too noisy.Price is cheaper than other hotel apartments but near enough the same as villa rent (exc bills). Have to install own internet and TV packages. If you have your own furniture and household items villa may be ideal though would have additional bills to pay.Staff are very friendly an trusting.
