Imperial Dragon is one of the older Desi-Chinese restaurants around. The restaurant has a very old school feel to it where it seems like you are back in the 90s as soon as you step foot in to the restaurant. Located in Mankhool, the restaurant is quite popular with the local desi community and is generally packed on the weekends.We ordered Sliced Beef in Oyster Sauce, Mince Beef with Steamed Noodles and a side of Egg Fried Rice.One thing that I found out of place is that you arent served complimentary Prawn Crackers while you wait for your meal, as is the case in most similar restaurants. Unaware of this, we ended up ordering Prawn Crackers while we waited on our order.The food is freshly prepared and can take some time. The food is on the spicier side so do take care when ordering. Everything tasted good and the portions served are easily good for two.Nothing out of the ordinary but a restaurant surely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Cheap and cheerful Indian Chinese food (Kolkata style).Service is quick, tastes great, and ample options for vegetarians (more than usual for a Chinese restaurant).Please dont go in expecting a super-authentic Chinese menu.Ambience is a bit run down, but it is actually nostalgic in a traditional family-run Chinese restaurant type of way. It just feels like youre in 2001 instead of 2021.

Good and cheap food. Portions are very generous and authentic Asian food. May have to wait for seating in the evening on weekends as its very popular restaurant. The sechzwan rice and Hunan chicken is a great combo and recommended. Also the drums of heaven and the chili fish are good food options. Definitely coming back.

This review is about Imperial Dragon or to be exact about the commercial name is Calcutta imperial dragon restaurant – Branch located@ 83 Al Mankhool Rd – Dubai with known landmarks like Al Ain Computer center and West Zone Supermarket. Impressive menu till you start making your order, you will have clear understanding on what is available and rest are just line fillers. They follow the Covid protocols to a certain extent, but I think they can do much better on the restaurant atmosphere and detailed cleaning of the tables and cloth chairs. Its best to check with the chef or the waitress for the signature orders and what is in season, perhaps what they recommend in case you are very specific about your food and its ingredients. Quite good number of customers dine in everyday and you can understand the reason why, its for the authentic Chinses cooked food in its original style add good attentive waitresses add value to the customer service and value. The owner turn to the customers 1 at the time and ask direct feedback like the olden days. The food is on the expensive side, whereas the portions are Chinses, by that I say they are small. Plenty of RTA paid parking available. They accept Card payments. See Images perchance clean what is in your mind. The attached invoice shows the cost for 2 adults.

Anyone looking to have Indo-Chinese food in Dubai, this is the place. It brought the Chinese cuisine straight from Calcutta to Dubai. Very nice ambiance, the service time could have been a little bit shortened. The food we had is amazing. Recommend- Choy Sum, Hot and sour soup, and sweet sour fish!

Must try restaurant of youre in the area. Best Chinese food Ive had in Dubai! Service is lovely, portions are good and very tasty. Black bean fried Tofu and Mei Foon noodles for veg and salt and pepper prawns for meat. Good value for money aswell

This is one of the oldest indo Chinese restaurant in dubai, my daughter is the 3rd generation who enjoys eating there.I hate to say but over the years the quality and the quantity has gone down. Now we visit only for memories, its not as gr8 as it was but it still is much better then the other so called indo Chinese restaurants.

Feels like you are in China, in a Chinese restaurant, eating Chinese food and listening to Chinese music. Truly spectacular food!! I cannot stop eating. Every dish is authentic and superbly prepared! Every bite will make you want to eat more and more!! Few fantastic dishes are the The Drums of Heaven (chicken lollipop), Chowmein heavy noodles, momos and dim sums, carrot and orange juice mix and the crispy garlic shrimp!! The best ever!

Disappointing!The food taste was below average Chinese restaurants. Lollypops didnt even look good and was tasteless. Wantons were also not tasty.Fried rice was okay. Nothing special. Fish manchurian was somehow okay.They need a much better chef.Hospitality was below standard.Only thing good was the interior of the restaurant.

Ive been coming here since I was little, and I truly cannot recommend them enough. A favourite of the people who live in the area, the portions are massive, the prices are perfect and the food is DELICIOUS. The place itself is clean, and has a lovely ambience. As a Bengali, I can definitely say theyve captured the essence of Calcutta Chinese food perfectly! An actual gem of a restaurant, they cater as well which makes them our #1 choice when we host parties. The service is also fantastic!

This was our first visit to this restaurant in its new location.We were very pleased with the taste , flavour and portions of the dishes that we ordered. Lip smacking indeed. Prices were also reasonable.However, there is room for improvement in the spacing of Tables to maintain proper social distancing as per current Government Rules.It was obvious that this is a favourite eatery in the locality because the footfalls were very heavy.Service was good as well.

The ambience was good. Quite a nice place and must say the food was awesome! We certainly recommend this place for a Indo Chinese culinary experience. Try the chicken chilly fry, Hakka noodles, veg fried drive or the Manchurian veg - one tastier than the other. Definitely a must visit place!

The best place in Dubai for desi Chinese. Fantastic food, generous portions, friendly service and pocket-friendly prices. The chilli chicken, prawn sweet n sour and gravy noodles are to die for. Dimsums, Manchow soup and prawn on toast are yum starters. Owner-manager Patrick is very hands on, so ask him for recommendations to suit your palate. Very much worth a visit - or 10!

Ate here for the first time and I must say, its awesome... My usual Indo-chinese restaurants include The Monk, Yin & Yang and used to love Chinchauus but now its no good. So this adds nicely to my list of Indo-Chinese restaurants and Ill surely be visiting this over and over again.

As a vegetarian you accept the lack of options usually available to you... But there were so many options at this cute little restaurant I couldnt even choose. :) I settled on veg wonton soup and sweet and sour veg... both amazing!!!!! Will definitely be back

Food quality and quantity is good. Place is mostly empty but they have a lot of deliveries which keeps them quiet busy. Place is done okok but the waiters are very attentive.

Food was an absolute disaster. Informed the server, but she just went on explaining and taking up and making excuses for the management. Very tough mushroom in the tofu, crispy beef had loads of grated carrots and green capsicum and had a very funny after taste. Fried rice was just acceptable. We will never visit the place again.
