An educational hub area surrounded with worlds top most universities .
A decent place for universities. Have a few good universities that are located here. The location is too small though. Universities dont have big campuses. There are a few good restaurants here and a small shop for necessities. The good thing is that its located near a metro station, tram station and the Dubai Media City.
This place is beautiful and neat. The burger here is awesome.
Very western environment... Beautiful campus... However relatively cheap looking cafeteria area... Although few good food brands are there but cleanliness is something they need to look into....
Good knowledge hud. Had quite a lot of training centres and few colleges here. Now mostly there are HR consulting firms.
[As Paul J Henderson is now working as an Australasia Recruitment Director, Core Markets of Navitas Limited Regional Headquartets (Dubai) (Address:Office G02, Block 2B, Knowledge Park, Dubai, UAE). It is essential for other learner know how what he has done in Brasshouse Language, as a former deputy head of English.]After a miserable journey with Brasshouse Language, I think I should write something to express my feeling.First and the foremost is the Brasshouse always mentioned respect, that learner should respect tutor and staff. What I want to mention is respect is a mutual act, the prerequisite of earning respect is you behave yourself, then you can earn your respect. Employing delaying tactics, saying anything with contradiction and having bias towards learners certainly is not a good way to earn respect from others. Yes, I am describing you, Paul J. Henderson, former deputy of English in Brasshouse Language. NOW HE IS WORKING IN NAVITAS LIMITED!!!Secondly is the British always mention gentleman, sadly a Brasshouse Language tutor, Nick Johnson, harass my sister in front of me. He absolutely overstepped his professional boundary between tutor and learner, intervening the relationship between learners. Come on man, this is ADULT Learning Centre! Then the method of allocation of class is the funniest I have ever seen. After the allocation of the class, some learners can go to any class by their will. What is the point of having placement test prior to the class? We have submitted our IELTS results but they just ignored our result and willing to get into the IELTS class, then putting us into the normal English class, which is merely a joke! Pauline Desch, do you know what is IELTS? It is a shame that Brasshouse Language have IELTS course but do not recognise any IELTS result. Moreover, the most unacceptable is another tutor, Raheel Mohammed, complain me openly (which I have done nothing at that particular moment) in the classroom and then ask Paul J. Henderson to send me off from the classroom, and then defame me I have done something not appropriate and complain the tutor. Come on, what the hell you are doing? Is this the usual way Brasshouse Language staffs dealing with the learners?Learning here is a totally waste of money and time. But the most thing that make me furious is Brasshouse Language only not discriminate learners in CERTAIN country, as stated in the written reply from Pauline Desch. As an language centre with so many international students, it is a inconvenient truth that Brasshouse Language will discriminate learners. I think this is also the reason why Birmingham always mentions it is a multicultural city, because discriminate exists! It happened! It really happened! And Brasshouse Language is an associate of the Birmingham City Council. I except discrimination only happened in uncivilized and barbaric city, maybe Birmingham can redefine my stereotype, or maybe the truth prevails. After our incident, staffs from Brasshouse Language, Birmingham Adult Education Services and Birmingham City Council promised they will investigate the incidents. But till now nearly 100 days but they do not have proper response. 100 DAYS!!! What kind of incident your sides need to spend so much time to investigate? Do I need to borrow you a microscope to facilitate your investigation?Do not come to Brasshouse Language, as they show the power of language, taking advantage of learners low fluency of English and bullied you without mercy. It is a shame that they are working in education sector!
