If negative stars were possible, I would give them that—horrible customer service. Every simple transaction is so paperwork intensive and takes extensively long periods. They never update you, despite promises, nor respond to your emails or online/phone banking follow-ups. To get any feedback, you must visit in person and get a transaction completed; you have to get aggressive and rude. By far, the poorest customer service I have ever experienced from any professional institution in my life.Sadly, it is not just one or two agents or a specific branch. It is the overarching culture in the institution.Avoid this bank like the plague.

This banks customers service deserves a -5 star review. Several months ago, I reported a case of a fraudulent transfer from my account two days after the transfers had been made. Since then, I’ve gotten false promises to return calls and emails despite submitting all necessary documentation. It’s now been three months since then, and the issue is still unresolved. I constantly get the “will call you back within 24 hours” or “ we are waiting for the concerned team to get back to us, please give us 24-48 hours”. This bank is called Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, but they need to remove Islam from its name! Stay far away from this bank as the level of incompetence and poor customer service is dizzying. I have other banks that have solved similar issues within two weeks and typically would even credit your account until the funds are returned. Unfortunately, this is by far the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. Horrible corporate culture!

Not good service, i visited there almost 5 times , the staff not working properly. 1st day i tried renew my debit card and after 3 day i visited again to find out process and they said need to pay 26 aed ok i paid, and after 2 days i visited again and they said they sent it to main office branch, when i called to Main branch, they are telling your mobile number is not updated, what the hell is is this . These staff is never pay attention your documents properly i guess. Almost 10 days behind my debit card.

The only reason I am giving a star is because I have to as part of the process. This bank deserves zero stars. I have experienced the worst level of customer service, in my whole life. All I asked was for a no liability letter to confirm my home loan closure. You would think such a simple task can be done online. No. Not for ADIB who live in the dark ages. I was asked to come to the branch and request one in person. The problem in doing that is I am outside of the UAE. I asked why my presence is required and was informed that this was part of the process. Begrudgingly, I asked my poa to attend who was told that the bank needed to have a call back with me to process the document. My POA is authorised to act on my behalf and has done so for a number of transactions. But not,with ADIB. Nope. A registered POA is not enough. They must speak to me on my UAE registered phone number. This presents another problem. I no longer have a registered phone number. I have called multiple times to update this on their system but have been met with more processes. I have emailed their customer service desk a number of times asking them to do one of two things. Either call my number in my country of residence or accept the POA. its been two weeks. I am nowhere closer to receiving neither a response to my email or the no liability letter through my POA. Which begs the question. What is the point of having a POA if they cannot act on your behalf??? Why does a no liability letter require so much drama when ALL it does is confirm repayment of outstanding which is KNOWN to ADIB. I have to say, I am beyond the point of trying to understand their illogical logic. The UAE is the home of innovation,progress and customer service. ADIB is NOT a reflection of the standards set by the UAE and is in fact an utter disgrace. I would say that it is run like a street falafel shop but then that would be disrespectful to the falafel shops Ive been to that have far more logic and better customer service.

Was contacted after 5 years of leaving Dubai, that I had an outstanding amount that should have been paid.Tried to explain many times I left the country in October 2016, that it is impossible that I have any open accounts.When I try to have specifications about the amount people promise that I will be called back, and I never receive a call.I was a very happy customer when I was living in the UAE, but this customer service is appalling! I do not feel heard and nobody seems to care to help me.UPDATE: IT GETS EVEN WORSE!!The email they gave me in the comments to look like they care does not deliver mail!!!

The absolute worst bank in terms of service. Appalling to say the least. Its been a month since I have been trying to get a cheque book and nobody seems to care! And this for a business account!Update- it gets even worse! The customer care team is rude. A simple question as to clarification of charges seems to tick them off. The technical team doesnt care much either. Know it all attitude. Am sick of this bank. Closing my account this month! Hopefully that should be an easy process. I was unable to draw funds from my own account because they didnt issue me a chequebook. Each online transfer costs 10 dhs + vat. Enough is enough! Cant believe this is a bank!

You received a letter from dubai court since 4th of feb to hold one account within 7 working days and since now nothing happened, is that means you ignored? It’s from court what if normal customer request what you will do?

Poor services , illiterate and unproffisional employee, they told me for opening an acount i should bring home country utility bills 🤣🤣, but im resident here more than 25 years i dont have any bills they said sorry its central bank rules, i called central bank they said as long as you are residents you should proove dewa bill ONLY not HOME COUNTRY, DO NOT RECOMMENED THIS BANK AT ALL

I never experienced such worse service than this bank ever in my life,I applied for a credit card cancelation from last two months still its pending with the bank, an extra payment i made which is not returned still, if you take a credit card from this bank means you fall in their trapp so be care full to deal with this bank.

Still not able to get my car loan clearance done although i visited the branch. And there is no explanation why. Will visit 3rd time tomorrow! I can not sell my car because they are not capable of issuing 1 car loan clearance letter for the last 2 weeks although my loan is fully paid and done long time ago!

Very incompetent service. When they send you a replacement of the credit card which was not working before they send it anywhere - in my case AL AIN although I live in Dubai. After many follow ups (2 weeks or so) they could not have my card transferred between Al Ain and Dubai due to technical reasons. I asked to issue a new card and it was not possible either. Every time I call they say they mark the email to the concerned department. Later of course you cannot get any information related to many email sent. Dont bank with them unless you want to waste your time.

Out of 4 customer service offices, only one employee is there most of the time. The waiting time is very very long. If you would like to do anything dont go to that location.

It seems time wasting is what they train on here. All employees are chatting and having fun without any care for their jobs and tasks. I listened to their loud chats and nothing is related to work or processing applications. Its rather on mobile phones, vacations, food and makeup !!!Its very obvious that ADIB management is worse than its employees. The branch manager is not even at the branch for several days without an authorized person on his behalf.

I dont think I have ever written a negative review of anything in my life but people should be warned about this bank - horrible customer service and nearly impossible to get very basic things done. I have banked in different countries like America, Egypt, and in the UK with different banks but nothing compares to how complicated this bank is and how absurdly bad service is here. Whenever I go and read the banner they have up that they win best customer service every year I laugh because it must be a joke.

If you dont need to go with ADIB, dont. Its been a horrible, time-wasting experience, with rude staff/customer service. And this was for a BUSINESS account! I would not recommend it to anyone!!

I went to this branch to open a Savings account. After waiting about 45mins, the customer services lady took my documents and said that shell call me within 2 days with account details. After one week, no call and I complained to central customer services. Again, no call back or confirmation about whether the account was open or not. Real poor experience and Ill be taking my money elsewhere!

Worst customer service ever! Same experience with customer service hotline. Many calls without outcome. Only one out of 4 customer service counters open and that’s the case every single time I had to visit the branch. Staff is rude and only busy on their mobile phones and talking to each other while customers are waiting to be “served”!

Trying to send an transfer request locally in Dubai from my account to another.. However what should seem to be straight forward has been a complete nightmare. I live in the UK and have taken all docs to adib in London which took me the whole day especially travelling from Birmingham. I filled out another form there with my id and signedin front a member of adib London staff . 2 weeks later ive been told my signature does not match.. Its been over 3 weeks now and my transfer which was very urgent still not happened ...Somebody in the bank needs to talk there staff and take the golden spoons from there mouths and ask them to take responsibility.

Applies fines on company accounts after changing conditions without notice. Unlike other banks, even when you prove you did what you should according to what you were told at the time, they will never reverse a fine.

I would never recommend increasing this branch because I had a bad story with them.I visited them to update my data and a month later I found out that it was not updated.I filed a complaint and after two weeks they told me to submit a new request and they did not even warn themselves.
