Their all you can eat buffet on weekdays for dinner is such a steal.We came here to try the teppanyaki and stuffed ourselves with tempura and sushi which are also there along with the chicken karage and they have unlimited drinks along with it.The chef prepares the food as you want and the manager comes by to greet their customers every time to ask if they are enjoying their food which I think is so thoughtful.This Japanese Restaurant has a great ambience for friends, couples and family as well.Make sure to visit them 🥰

Food was good and servers were all friendly and accommodating. They’d gladly grill and serve the teppanyaki. We enjoyed both dishes! Drinks were included in the buffet. The peach tea was nice and not too sweet. The desserts tasted common and very sweet which was expected. We came for the mains anyway. I would definitely come back.

We visited Minato yesterday to celebrate my dad/my best friends birthday. He was trying sushi for the first time. He was little hesitant when we arrived but we were first to arrive and were greeted warmly. He said the lights are very less so I told him mostly Japanese restaurants have dim lights. He said the ambience was very friendly, warm & inviting.The food was very nice though my father didnt like everything he tried but overall he was happy. He mentioned that the juices were not so nice. He tried mango, orange & pineapple juices. He enjoyed the tempuras but said they had less salt. He tried the cucumber sushi & the fish egg sushi. He said the fish egg sushi had too much salt though I didnt find it that salty.The servers Leonie, Ivy & Shipon were very attentive, friendly, warm and welcoming. I liked the tempuras, tepenyaki & sushi very much. Tempuras were crisp, tepenyaki was hot & tasty and sushi was fresh and without fishy smell. The prawns were throughly clean & fresh. My dad was worried whether the black thread is removed or not from the prawns which the servers confirmed were removed. That made him happy. There was no smoked salmon sashimi. It would have been nice to have it. I didnt like chicken karage that much. The ice tea was nice & refreshing. We forgot to try out the soups & rice. Dessert variety was less only 3 but the mousse was tasty. The fresh fruit salad was very cold but not bad.At the end they served a set of carrot finger cakes for my dads birthday which were delicious. They even sang a birthday song for him. My father rarely smiles but yesterdays experience made him smile so thank you soo soo much. I would definitely like to visit again.

The restaurant is small, dark and cosy.Has free valet parking.Tatami room is for groups of 6p and more. But you can ask for it for a smaller group during weekdays , just ask when reserving a table .The staff is exceptional: caring, attentive and proactive.The sushi taste and variety was average. Didn’t like the salads much.But teppanyaki was amazing ! Basic but fresh choice of calamari, prawns, beef, chicken and fish (cream dory), Chef’s sauce was to die for !Nice dessert plate.I’d defo go back for teppanyaki !

Japanese restaurant with a teppanyaki grill and sushi station.We had the brunch which included a buffet of sushi and sashimi, the teppanyaki grill, and a hot food counter including rice, noodles, tempura and soups. Overall, not the widest selection for a buffet, but given the amount of patrons (or lack thereof on a Saturday lunch) there was definitely enough food and enough choices if youre happy knowing this beforehand. At the end of the meal, a selection of desserts (not buffet) are brought to your table.The food itself at the buffet includes some not so good items (such as karaage chicken that was cold and not crispy) through to some items that were quite good for a buffet (such as the teppanyaki beef) but overall the buffet is OK to try different things.The restaurant is separated into multiple rooms including a private dining room, although when the restaurant isnt busy you could end up in a private dining room anyway. This is great if you prefer privacy.As the restaurant is within the Radisson Blu hotel, theres free valet parking for diners. Overall service is quite good, but given the separation of the areas and if theres not many staff around, you may have to keep looking for staff to serve you.

We celebrated our Dear friend birthday in Minato Japanese Restaurant which is located inside Radisson Blu hotel in Deira near the creek.There were 2 food sections- the live teppanyaki cooking station and the Sushi/Sashimi counter with friendly chefs.The teppanyaki was so delicious, you can order exactly what you want, while we had a lot of sushi and salmon Sashimi.There were unlimited tempura as well.It was a very good buffet offer and we all enjoyed the food and the birthday celebration with complimentary cakes and birthday song.Our server was Ivy who was very welcoming and Friendly and was always there checking in with us if we need anything. There manager also visited us asking us how we were and hows the food.Thank you so much for a great experience.Covid19 health and safety precautionary measures are being followed.

I visited Minato and tried the all you can eat menu. The food is GREAT!! The sushi was above average, fresh and zesty. I loved the sizzling dishes they serve from the grill, all three types of meat they offered on the grill were delicious, the shrimps, the chicken and the meat. They also had great soup, a limited variety but nonetheless, tasty. The only downside is the seating atmosphere, it is not bad but not great as well. There can be some work done on the lighting and aroma.

Got there with a coupon for sushi and teppanyaki buffet. Not too much choices for sushi. I cant say that tuna was tuna indeed. Had sashimi, some Maki rolls and teppanyaki here. Quality was good and I would most likely revisit this.

DisappointingWe went for Sushi & Teppanyaki night.First disappointment was the varieties. There are only 2 sections in the buffet and thats it!Second disappointment was the Sushi bar. It was extremely poor whether in terms of variety or quality. Only 5 types are available and non of them is tasty.Third disappointment was the tempura. Something that hs no taste of any kind. You do not know whether you are eating seafood or plastic bags. Absolutely tasteless.Fourth disappointment is the seating arrangement. Low ceiling and tight spaces. You feel uncomfortable.This buffet does not worth the money charged for it.I only gave 2 stars because of the live cooking which offered delicious stuff ( id not know the name of it) + the cheerful staff.Other than that, everything else sucks.

We really had a great time dining with my family and friends. The service was excellent and all staff was friendly and accommodating especially Ms. Leonie. Very disappointed with the service of the staff. What’s the use of reservations if it will not be honored by the restaurant. Had a tatami room reserved from 6pm until 8:45pm, I even called before coming to inform that we will be late and they have confirmed that’s it’s fine the room is available. When we arrived we were greeted and informed that the tatami room we have reserved has been given to someone else..🤬

I have been in Minato a lot of times and people there are always super gentle and friendly. The food is good and the service is great. They have 2 live cooking stations one for hot japanese dishes and one for cold dishes as sushi sashimi and others.

Booking in advance is required for a seat at the Teppanyaki station and its worth the price for special occasions. Due to COVID the buffet is controlled and the sashimi is limited to tuna and salmon. Average price is AED350/person with soft drinks.

We found a great deal through Groupon, but when we called, the restaurant said they can just offer us the Groupon price! Yay!Totally worth it! All the food is delicious, so many things to choose from. One room is sushi rolls and salads, the other room is teppanyaki with the chef cooking right there, you can choose from beef, veggies or fish, also miso ramen and miso soup were amazing! They bring your drinks to the table and then there’s also a small dessert plate!I wish I lived in dubai so I could come eat here once a week :)

It’s a Japanese restaurant serving the traditional cuisine. I loved the interior and themed decor of the place. They’d put a lot of effort in recreating that Japanese vibe in the restaurant. We joined them for Saturday dinner buffet and they had placed some Indian dishes too for Diwali. Indian food is a ritual so we skipped that and tried this new cuisine. They had different sections for for different set of dishes. Like starters were placed in a separate room and so on. I loved their crockery which was of bamboo wood with that peculiar paintings on. There was an extended salad bar with the fresh garden and customizable salad, soup corner with a variety of soups, other dishes from which tempura was my personal favorite, an elaborated sushi bar having a variety of different types and flavors of sushi rolls, seafood stand where you pick your favorite and get it done by the chef and sweet dish corner. It was an amazing experience Dinning in with them and loved their hospitality.

Sushi buffet was hit and missThe variety of sushi was limited (5-6 types with 1 veg sushi).Even though we entered as soon as the restaurant opened, the first batch of sashimi was not fresh and the ramen was cold. The second batch of salmon sashimi however was fresh and delicious.Service was otherwise good.If there was more variety and the sashimi spread were fresh wouldve rated the restaurant higher.

The food is good but not much with the Sushi and there is no too much option for sushi’s. It was a great place but not something that you would think of going back again. At the end of your food when they clean everything, No One even wants to offer you dessert which is part of the buffet you paid for.

I went to this Minato restaurant two days ago and I am very disappointed and disgusted. I ate a chicken salad with bell pepper it was very sweet and the chicken was hard. The food does not taste at all and is not fresh plus I had diarrhea and I still have a stomach ache. Dont go there, you will be sorry. It is not worth even 50 dirhams to spend on their food

Sushi and teppenyaki buffet is great. Good meat for the teppenyaki. Sushi is good but would be better with some more selection of dipping sauces. Tempura is fresh. Their a la carte teppenyaki is however more fun as the chef keeps you entertained with his antics while preparing the food.

The food was nice and reasonably priced. The salad bar could be improved. The desserts were great.

The place is nice, good value for money, i wish sushi selection was better and salmon sashimi not charged separately.

I do not know how to describe my experience but I will give it a try. I am 32 years old, and I have had the best, most delicious dinner I have ever had, in this very restaurant. There was open buffet. So many choices. The sushi was from heaven. The aromas were extraordinarily good and well chosen. They danced in our mouths. Go particularly for the chefs choice. There is also a chef who cooks the meat of your choice with sauces, vegetables, nuts and/or every other detail that you wish for, in front of you. It was also heavenly. One of our friends had seven big plates of food in a row, he just couldnt stop eating even though he was not even overweight. :) Unlimited drinks of your choice and heavenly desserts are included in the price. The price was very lower than we had expected. I am dying to fly back to Dubai just to have another chance to visit this restaurant. If only I was a resident, I think I would dine in Minato every evening.

I specified it when I booked the table and they told me that they were taking note and will organize something at dessert time. Unfortunately nothing arrived, which was frustrating (despite indirectly asking again just before dessert time). Even more as when we were about to leave, we saw another group having a small birthday celebration. This kind of details can not be neglected or forgotten in such a restaurant.

This is one of the worst sushi/ restaurants in Dubai. I strongly advise you not to step one foot in the restaurant. The sushi tastes like 2 weeks old, the sushi “bar” that stores alllll the sushies have water from the fridge dripping into the sushies and the salad. The tuna in the spicy tuna sushi smells like amoniac. If quality control comes tomorrow, this place will close 100%.DONT GO IF YOU DONT WANT TO GET FOOD POISONING!

Horrible experience.. It is so horrible that i couldnt wait to leave the place to write it.. Me and my wife wanted to try it, and here is what we found: very limited variations of sushi 5 or 6 at max on a Saturday evening.. Limited salads and limited deserts.. But thats not the worst part.. My wife had fish bones in one of her Maki rolls!!! Absolutely horrible experience would not recommend it to an enemy..

Everything is so delicious! Especially the sashimi, salmon and tuna. It melts in your mouth as you eat it. With the right amount of soy sauce dipped in it. Definitely 5 stars.

Food from the buffet was actually good tasting but could use a little more variety as well as a little more faster replenishing. The chairs in the private area could really be changed as they are too heavy and noisy to move.But overall food tasted authentic and the service was amazing so definitely worth a visit.

Food was great. Service was exceptional. Ate Leoni and Joshhy were very welcoming and attentive to our needs.

Surprisingly bad.The sushi was not good at all. Not enough variety and the actual size of the sushi is too large. Have a look at the dessert. Dry as a desert and not fresh at all. The waitress brought out the dessert and you could feel the cold temperature of the plate itself, clearly, the desserts are not fresh, possibly made the day before and refrigerated with the plate and entire arrangement. The sashimi pieces as well were very large. Also the arrangement of the tables in the restaurant is weird and seems haphazard. There are two tables right in the entry way that nobody would want to sit in. Then there is a seating area on the left which is arranged one way, then another on the right that is arranged differently and awkwardly. When you go to the buffet area, you have pass trough this odd passageway with one table there. Who designed this layout? The sushi counter is in one place, then the buffet is in another, and in both the service is terrible. When I went to the sushi counter, the chef with his back turned was working on some other paperwork and when I went for the buffet, there was no waiter or anybody there to help serve me (Since I cannot take on my own due to COVID rules). Additionally, there is no staff at the entrance to help find you a seat. You sort of just wander in all the way to people dining and look around and maybe you will run into a waiter. This place is painfully understaffed and the quality has naturally suffered. Another problem I had was that a particular waiter would every now and then emerge from the kitchen, go over to a family sitting near our table and converse with them at length, very loudly, making it hard for me to hear the conversation of the guest sitting literally at my own table.

I would definitely go back. Nice and clean place. Food is delicious and staff very approchable and helpful.

Good food, service needs to improve. We waited for almost 40 mins waiting for the service staff to take our order.Would be nice if they staff actually explained what the dishes were when being placed on the table, especially for someone who is new to Japanese cuisine.

I love Minato! I visited it once last year together with my 8 months old baby. Food was delicious, price was amazing for a 5 star venue and I even got 15% discount by using my Mastercard. The staff were all amazing and very cooperative regarding the baby. It was a very cozy ambiance. Their traditional Japanese interior design is very nice.

Definitely a huge disappointment after 2 attempts of the sushi/teppanyaki themed dinner. Food wise, everything is of average quality from soups, hot dishes, teppanyaki to the rolls, sashimi and desserts. Given the 199dhs price, there are better options around Dubai that come with more authentic flavour and fresher quality. Seating area is spacious with mixed private rooms. Wifi and parking are available. Nonetheless, the main reason that makes me give 2 star is their inadequate customer service. Perhaps we were the only unlucky guests to be treated with inattentiveness, multiple late/missed orders. All orders were verbally confirmed and repeatedly came incomplete. After 1 hour waiting for the remaining food from the first order and my friends approach to them, a lady came to say sorry and took a second order. It came out wrong again, and in the meantime, certain unwanted carb-loaded easily-to-make-you-full dishes like fried rice, udon and curry was served instead, unintentionally? The last order of sashimi never came close to our table. Im certainly aware of the understaffed situation due to Covid, but it should by no mean affect the customers experiences given the accordingly limited capacity of the restaurant.

The new set menu teppanyaki and sushi theme is quite disappointing.The lady took our order brought with just half with what we ordered and then disappeared for the rest of the night. We asked three times for just to have the drinks served on the table.Food orders were mistaken all the time.The food is okay.

Excellent service! best Japanese buffet in town! super friendly staff and even the chefs are smiling and greeting us, they even come with the staff and sing a birthday song for my friend. appreciate a lot! thanks to their Jolly manager Lara and to her staff Karen, Richard and Lama. keep it up guys! nothing to complain for!
