We were refused entry by the manager (did not get her name) for whatever reason that even she could not explain to us. I truly doubt it was reasonable since she was struggling to elaborate the excuse that she had to make up on the spot - embarrassing. Instead of asking me what time I’m boarding, she just grabbed my ticket without permission to take a look. How she’s a manager, I’ve got absolutely no clue. She might be barring lounge key users from entry as if she gets an incentive for doing so.

Everything is closed during covid so its basically just a nice room to sit and wait. If you want food or to do anything, stay in the main building.

22th of Jan in 2021.I used the VIP lounge.They served the food parcel. It was good and delicious with moderate quantity.I could get the security and immigration check here directly.Moreover, They rode me to the gate by so much expensive sedan on time.So it is called VIP Terminal lounge.I recommend to take a rest til your boarding tme here

Very luxurious. It gives you VIP facilities such as immigration will be done by lounge crew and you will get private security check. Complete peace of mind. Sit back, relax and enjoy the meal.

Nice quiet place. The seats were very comfortable and all attendants were very friendly.

When we got there they clearly said all had been fully booked and abrubtly somebody else said its ok. Here is a thing. Now i have been sitting here to find no one is here. Is this place only for Arabics? i am so offended by their lie and poor service.

The catering staffs working here in tension mood, no smiling, looks like as if they are not satisfied to work, the seating are fine, the washrooms are excellent, you can shower too, wifi connection is also fine, you too have charging station, would have given more stars if the catering staff would have done their job properly.

WORST lounge ever and I have traveled a lot.The lounge operator isnt providing proper lounge food. It isnt related to covid as in other lounges, good food is being served at the table of travelers instead of the buffet.But, Diamond Lounge Abu Dhabi is only serving namesake snacks like water, cookies and drinks. This is unacceptable.They are charging mastercard the full rate and providing next to nothing to the lounge guests.I pay an annual credit card fee for this lounge access, but being served air and water and fruit isnt acceptable whatsoever.Higher ups at Master card should look into this unscrupulous practice by Diamond lounge operator.

This hard to find Diamond lounge located adjacent to terminal 1 inside the VIP terminal is an exclusive lounge for only MasterCards issued only in GCC.If you are driving to the airport get off at terminal 1 (even if your flight is at terminal 3) and walk inside and turn right, follow the signs to VIP terminal leading to a passage that culminates to a lift. Take the lift to the ground floor and viola you come out into the open area with the VIP terminal right across. Enter the glass doors and they will check your eligibility etc.First off you need to be pre checked in and if you don’t have a printed boarding pass there is a counter just for that right at the security entrance. They promptly helped me print my boarding pass in a jiffy.They keep your MasterCard, passport and boarding pass when you enter the lounge and have you checked out at the immigration too. No cues no e-gates to clear. Once they return the documents to you make sure you see the immigration stamp on your passport. You have now technically exited the country.Well now you can enjoy the DIAMOND lounge with fringe finger food, salads and some drinks. If you were expecting sushi and biryani, fresh juices, etc you would be highly disappointed. Haven’t you heard there is no free lunch and you are still getting one, so don’t complain. Simply Enjoy!If you are with kids this is the perfect place to have them play at the toddlers play area. Something that no other lounge in AD offers. Also to be fair their toilets, shower areas and prayer rooms are much better than any in the AD airport. Their WiFi is also very easy to connect no passwords and OTPs to mess with and as there are very few guests in the lounge the internet speed is pretty good.Also if you notice there are more staff than guests in the lounge this is normal, so chill. By now you’d be thinking why it’s called ‘diamond or VIP’ lounge, but then what’s in a name.Well all is still not lost, wait until it’s time to board (typically an hour before ETD) when the lounge hostess escorts you to the private car or van (if others sharing your flight or gate) which ferries you to the duty free area of the main terminal building where you can find your gate and board the plane together with the rest of the passengers and you thought you could skip the chaos at the gates - no way!So all in all - if this is your only possible access to a lounge in Abu Dhabi airport then you will find this exciting. However if you are a frequent flyer and have silver/ gold/ plat card for etihad guest you are better of skipping this mediocre lounge and stick to the silver and gold lounges in terminal 1 and 3. At least they serve freshly squeezed orange juice and their coffee machines work and brew fresh coffee with a wide selection of teas that you will miss in the diamond lounge. However, if you have never experienced a VIP drive to the gate (pre checked out and ready to board) then it’s worth giving it a shot for the sake of this experience.

Really loved the facility including dedicated baggage handling and drop off for Etihad passengers, immigration is as well done by the desk staff. Indeed a business class experience. Food served is just average but the seating is luxurious and spacious. A great lounge and highly recommended.

The best way to travel in style, a quick way to do Check-In, Security Checks and Pass Border Control in less than 2 minutes. Then you could relax on the Lounge while trying some hot or cold dishes. Some beverages had a disappointing flavour and no parking is allowed (despite lack of information in their website).

Space not well utilized ,very large hall and not appropriate furniture for dinning. The food was not presentable and cold.They also need to have an intercom service rather than shouting out names of guest to return their passports.

Peaceful place to spend some time before travel

There was no one to assist with the baggage. The check in process was longer than it should have been given my wife and I were the only people checking in at that time. They dropped us at at Gate 19 whereas our gate was 46 and we had to walk all the way to it. I mean I could have skipped this so called VIP terminal and arrived quicker for boarding using the normal terminal 3.The ambiance and the facilities were also average.

Easy to do your papers

It was a great pleasure to try the VIP terminal. What I didnt like were the food options, the food was not that good and it was too cold when I ate it, but other then that everything was good. The staff greeted us and were friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my time in the VIP terminal and hopefully, it will not be my last time there.

Nice place to go when waiting for your flight. Need a lounge key or accepted credit card for entry. Attentive friendly staff and seating arranged for small groups of 6 to 8, but ok for single travelers too. Ill go there every time I fly.

In other name you can call it as Master Card lounge. Wow!! Such a wonderful place for rest when you are on traveling. Really a good hospitality and nice staffs.

This is an awesome service if you dont want to deal with the hastle of maneuvering through the airport. The lounge is very nice with food and beverage services, comfortable furniture to relax in and great customer service. The expedited path to your flight is well worth the nominal cost of the service.

Food was without any Indian variety and bar wasnt found at the main lounge.Ambience was OK with TV having limited English and no Indian news channels.Need to improve on food.The best part is the lounge does the security and boarding pass stamping and immigration directly.Also drop by lounge cab to your boarding gate is available and you can have a nap till then.

Did not like the food selection here. Normal lounge has better selection to suit Indian palate. Vip terminal has some international choice of food but nothing else. The good thing is that immigration gets done easily here. No queue at all. Saves time.

Does not mention that this lounge is located prior to security check in. This is very unusual and it is impossible to use this lounge after security is done.Absolutely ridiculous and intentional on the part of Master Card and the lounge manager to avoid users.Location column in the description should mention this explicitly.

The Diamond Lounge located at the VIP terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport is of acceptable standard, nothing more nothing less.The location and access to the lounge from the main terminal is not easily traceable although sign posting is good. One can report directly to this lounge as Etihad Airways has established a check in counter where guests can check-in but the space is very congested. Immigration and Security checks are also done at the entrance to the lounge. The guests are transported to the boarding gates by luxury limousines.The lounge is laid out in a circular fashion with various pockets of seating arrangement for 6 to 8 guests.Lounge check-in is smooth where the passports are collected for Immigration clearance. The passports are returned after 10-15 minutes. The passengers are called out by names when their boarding is announced.The buffet layout and the service standards are below satisfactory level. Alcoholic beverages are served very discreetly due to the local customs.Overall, we can say that the lounge facilities are just satisfactory. There is a lot of room for improvement. Abu Dhabi is regarded as one of the best countries in the world hence, it raises peoples expectations. Anything below world class standard is bound to attract criticism.

A convenient place for pre flight wait after check-in, but the lounge facilities viz food, drinks, etc are average. Immigration and security clearance is very convenient and fast.

A great facility for MasterCard holders (almost all- debit or credit). Seperate entrance near T1. No crowd, easy process, direct boarding and Baggage check in facility. Eating, relaxing areas. Has a small prayer area too. Provide a bus to the actual departure terminal through car or bus.

A really well maintained and high level service for mastercard holders.However there is one of the staff in the lounge who is very rude to customers. The lounge management need to resolve that.But overall, very good experience for card holders.

Excellent service after check in.However, I went at odd hours during shift change, person who has no experience was sitting at front desk and had to wait for long duration until supervisor came and sorted out.

It looks grand and is very comfortable.Unfortunately, I was traveling forum one of the busiest times and the staff did not seem to be up to it.The whole experience was okay but did not feel professional and smooth.

Excellent for the facility of avoiding the queue for check in. You are taken by a vehicle to another counter from where the boarding gate (one floor above) is not far off. Usually not crowded. Food selection may be compromised past midnight or on a busy day. Two points to note. The business class lounge in Abu Dhabi airport is far superior. And, if you have got any issue with your travel document or any special situation related to your international travel, better use the main check in counters upstairs rather than coming to the VIP lounge directly. The staff checking you in here will probably not know about the fine prints. You may actually check-in upstairs and (without going through the security) come down and use the lounge in such a situation.

No vegetarian food, other rice items if they have any smells bad like it is prepared 2 days back. Even bread and butter will not be available. Overall its pathetic.

Except the Check in services which is excellent, all other services are ordinary.Food : No choices, especially for late night flight passengers. Very ordinary Food which is not acceptable to that standard.Beverages: Limited and 👎 choices. Some staff are very arrogant when you asked for more and you dont get also.

Very confusing to get here. It is located in the VIP Terminal which isnt a real terminal. It is a private area where you can clear immigration, while skipping the lines, as well as you get a personal car to the gate youre l flying from. This benefit alone makes it worthwhile to come here!

Nice and quiet but food and drink was of exceptionally low quality. Even had to go check in at the main terminal then got bused to the main terminal to go to the gate. Aside from avoiding the crowds there really was no benefit to using this on this journey. I think Ill stick to the main terminal in future. Theres also manual immigration so you get another stamp in the passport rather than use egate and save pages. All in all a bit of a disappointment for me.

Was my first and probably the last visit to the so called VIP lounge. Had to walk up to the pantry to ask for drinks where the staff was busy chatting throughout. Asked for some peanuts or savory crackers and they said they had none. After my two visits to the pantry they ganged up and said that there is a two drink limit and I need to talk to the management if I wanted more. Thanked them and said that Id rather buy myself a couple outside than request their management. Food was terrible and inadequate. There was no fish in the fish biryani. Beef could not have been tougher. I never thought Id say this but I would have been better off sitting in Mc Donalds. Really surprised it is called a VIP lounge. Please stay clear.

Very limited drinks and no alcohol..!Upon time to board, the agent shouts out destinations asif its a municipality bus station, absolutely no sense of luxury whatsoever...!7 persons camped into a van and transported to terminal and from there you run to your gate...!VIP TERMINAL LOUNGE EXPERIENCE.....? Nice lounge to have food and rest. But first time it is difficult to locate this lounge since it is hidden within the airport, bit outside in one corner at the ground level that seems like a basement. You need first get the boarding pass and then come here. Your security checkin then can be done at the lounge itself and then they drop you directly inside the terminus, near duty free area.

Great Place . Little difficult to find for peoples coming from other terminals. Location is inside VIP terminal. After getting boarding pass directly go to VIP terminal. We can have unlimited food .They directly serve to your table.

Place to relax in airport. Its in the VIP entrance. People who have airport lounge access in the master card can access on it. After getting ur boarding pass simply go to VIP entrance and show your credit card to security for eligible criteria. Then u can hand over ur passport to lounge reception for e gate and u stay relax in lounge. Lounge itself provide transport to exact gate or nearby
