This was our first visit to wadi Naqab, completely unplanned trip but it was worth every minute we spent there, the natural beauty of giant and infinite mountains, rocks, , silence, peace cannot be expressed in words. We went there in June and i can imagine in winters this place will be heaven weather wise…. It was a brilliant experience spending time near these giant beauties… road is still under construction… its bit bumpy but the track you follow pretty clearI would give this place 10/10. Most of these pics are without filter and cannot do justice to what the view looks like in real… one word “Magnificent”
Beautiful scenery - great place to get away from the city and all the big skyscrapers and blinding lights.Perfect for friends and families who loves a little hike around a mountain. Some parts are steep so best to be careful. There are some flat areas that are perfect to settle down and have a little picnic while enjoying the scenery around you.
Wadi Marwan is another beautiful place offered by Ras Al Khaimah..!!!Visited this beautiful and scenic place with office colleagues and it is simply awesome. It located at quite a high altitude and the road to the top is not so very driver friendly. Certain parts of the roads are covered with huge stones, potholes, loose sand and gravels - those having a 4WD or AWD can only visit this place. One can plan a peaceful outing with family and friends, as this place offers absolute silence and peace. After reaching atop it gives a beautiful view of the Ras Al Khaimah city during the day and a starry gaze at night. Camping trips can also be planned here. The only catch here is that since it is not visited by many people, it is advisable to go in groups and a minimum of two vehicles - because if one vehicle gets stuck somewhere the other one can help.If you are travelling alone and unfortunately get stuck somewhere, you will not find any help here.Be careful, be safe, plan wisely, travel in group with two 4WD vehicles and have a great time at this place.
Nice dry river bed. Amazing views all along the way. Park the car and start the hike behind the dam construction site. Path is marked all the way to Red Wall and beyond. Some steep stairs bypassing RedWall and some balconies with low sealing ahead if you want to reach the last pond. After that ropes are needed.
My trip today was to Wadi Naqab in Ras Al Khaimah. The place is more than a fantasy, but more beautiful after the rains because the water basins add a refreshing touch to the place. Mountains experience is absolutely priceless. You will feel very safe and have a great time. I’ve learnt a lot about the culture and traditions of old emirates. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see UAE for the other side. The track is not suitable for beginners.
A beautiful place to go and hike. Take lots of water and look out for the red arrows and cairns which shows the way. Lots of boulder hopping and there are hidden villages very high up in the mountains if you can find them.
Amazing views, great hikes and friendly locals.Just make sure you have a 4x4 car but not necessary
Beautiful hike up to sheri village passing a bat cave, look for rock formations to follow or go with a hike guide, dont venture alone or you might get lost like many do every year !
There is nothing at all here, its an isolated dry area with stones and traces of Wadi. It may flood water during rainy season but building a dam nearby to curb. There is a remote mountain area where people go tent n BBQ, but needs 4,wheel.
A place away from busy city schedule and a nice drive
Really Excited place
Great place for camping; a great start for trail running, or hiking in the mountains.
Fav hike in rak. Moderate difficulty.

Nice place for those of you who likes mount hiking and picnics with BBQ.... Best time to be is winter time, gets cold at night so bring a jacket... Be sure to keep the place clean after your self... Save the nature....

Nice place
Hmm
Excellent hike for advanced trekkers. You would need to keep an eye for the red marks to read to the end of the wadi (valley).Small tip: Park at the end of the off-road (use a 4x4), we did a mistake of parking earlier and walking for atleast 30 mins before starting the trek. Not enough clear signs in the area. Keep your eyes open!
A great hike to witness the winding steps and beautiful villages of the ancient hill tribes.

Grand Canyon of UAE, Wadi Naqab 😍The Wadi Naqab stratigraphic column extended over the Triassic - Jurassic boundary. At the Wadi Naqab the rocks are layered roughly 1 million years apart each..Grand canyon of the United Arab Emirates Naqab Valley 😍The layers on the walls of the valley belong to the Triassic and Jurassic periods. The formation of each layer corresponds to roughly one million years.
