Worth visiting specially in winter.. many steps for a good workout and nice views

A good rest house with rooms available to be booked overnight. Swimming pool available. The best thing is that the rest house has a huge date farm behind it which belongs to the same owner and from the rest house you can buy very good fresh dates from this farm at very reasonable rates. I would recommend to buy the fresh dates of this farm from the restuarant . Lulu variety in this farm is very tasty.

Since this renovated fort is on every brochure of Ras Al Khaima, I expected that there would be at least one single modest road sign to turn right from the main road going east of RAK... but no. It was really a quest to find it among the dirt roads among villas and old houses... Once you find the right turn, it is easy.

The place itself is actually very nice. If you book a room you are also allowed to use the Palm tree garden. However the amount that you pay has no relation to what you get in return. The rooms are very simple with a small shower. There is no restaurant or any cafeteria. All what they have is chocolate and crisps. Better carry your own cooking utensils.The staff are not helpful when the boss is not around. If you want to bargain about the high price, just forget it. They will not offer you anything, instead they rather loose a customer.Although a brochure there says the swimming pool is included when you book a room the staff denies it.Paying by credit card is not possible, so better carry enough cash with you.

You can buy one of the best dates in ghest house here. I boughr many boxes and sent them to my friends, they have never tased something like this.P.s. in June 2021 guest house was closed.
