Very good tour! Our guide was a skilled driver in the desert (level expert :D ) and we didnt stop at a point where 10 other SUVs stopped for pictures or sand boarding. Instead we drove to a great point where we had time to do pictures without thousands of others in the background. Ask for guide Adnan! He was always motivated to fulfil our wishes and created a great adventure for us. Thanks again. By the way, we did the desert tour - driving fun with barbecue and show.

We booked a desert safari with Ivan on the Concierge Desk of the Anantara before we arrived (who by the way was wonderfully helpful). We decided on an afternoon departure with Royal Mirage. Our driver/guide Nasser was first class. The 4x4 comfortably took the 5 of us. We started with a visit to the Camel race track and saw some of the animals been exercised (we had no idea the track was so long or they didn’t have jockeys). Then it was on to the dune bashing which Nasser was an expert at. This involved stopping for some “sand boarding” which was enjoyed by all and the a further stop for some sunset photos. The next stop was quad biking (which was an extra paid at the venue but a real highlight for our 3 boys). Finally we had a stop for dinner in the desert where the food was surprisingly very good. The kids got henna tattoos, a ride on a camel and the show wasn’t bad at all. Definitely a must on a visit to Dubai and Royal Mirage/Nasser made it all the more enjoyable.

For those who looking desert safari> dont go with centerlised transport option. Either go directly with own car or with 4x4 pick n drop off.Makesure you are getting atleast 15 mins of dune bashing then only you ll get better experience.Cheap dosent means that better service.

Aziz was an exceptional tour guide. He made our trip. He was fun, exciting and really enjoyable company. The whole trip was a great from mid afternoon to late evening. A chance to do sand buggy rides. Then jeep sand dunes safari driven by Aziz, a thrilling journey.After to the camp. Where you could ride a camel, get a henna tattoo, dress up in local dress for fun, and have your photo with a falcon. The food was varied and very good quality for the volume produced. The show was entertaining and of 3 parts which had something for everyone. Truly a fabulous day out which we would recommend. Especially with this guy. Aziz

We were only here for 3 full days and wanted to choose wisely. What a choice we made.It was unbelievable!!!We arranged the trip through our hotel for the day of New Years eve. We were picked up bang on time at 3pm (which is always a good indication) by our driver/guide, who although driving a bit erratically, was very friendly, spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. We headed out of the city to a local market where you had the opportunity to drive a quad bike for an additional fee. It looked a bit chaotic and very unorganized. Here the driver prepared the vehicle for the dune bashing by deflating the air pressure in the tyres. Opportunity to buy drinks, snacks etc. Expect locals to hard sell headscarves etc...We set off after about 30 mins. The driver put on a music CD which really added to the atmosphere and proceeded to travel in a small group over the sand dunes, throwing us around inside which we all found hilarious.Once finished, we headed up the highway to a staging area where we got a quick 2 minute camel ride before we were seated in an outdoor bazaar for a hour or sos entertainment, belly dancing and fire breathing act. We got a snack and then buffet style meal(very limited choices however and very traditional). Soft drinks were free but other alcoholic drinks were extra obviously. At the end of the show, our guide was waiting and took us back to the hotel for 8.30pm. Views of the sunset in the desert were something else.Highly recommended for all

We paid extra to book a private family desert Sahara with Orion and it was an absolutely terrible experience. Do not book with this company.1) We paid extra to do 20 minutes of Dune Bashing and we only did 10.2) They said water and soft drinks were complementary at the camp. When we reached there at 5pm they said they drinks are free only after 7:20pm. And our only option was to pay 20 AED for juice or be thirsty for 2 and a half hours.3) They dropped us at 5pm saying we had time to enjoy camel riding and sand boarding before the shows start at 7pm. The camel riding was only for 30 seconds and the sandboards were broken. So we ended up sitting at the camp doing absolutely nothing for 2+ hours. Other tours dropped their guest around 6:30pm which was much more suitable.4) They dropped us so early that the camp was still setting up and the welcome booth wasnt even open to serve tea or anything. They just made us wait in the tent while they set everything up.5) The night ended around 9pm, yet our private car only came to pick us up at 10pm, so we had to wait an hour in the camp while the crew was cleaning up. Finally, they wanted us to get in the car with 2 strange men when we were a family of 4 women and specifically paid extra for a private vehicle so they made us wait more.6) When they finally picked us up, the car broke down in the road and we were stuck without AC for another 15 - 30 minutes on the side of the road.Why are we writing this review? We tried contacting their management to lodge a complaint so nobody would have to go through this horrible experience but they never bothered to apologize or even acknowledge the poor hospitality - only excuses and promises to look into it. They never got back to us despite numerous follow ups.I usually dont go out of my way to write a negative review but this was so bad I had to write one.If you have guests who are coming to Dubai and want to make a great impression and have a wonderful time in the desert, DO NOT book with Orion.

We booked for 6 hour Hatta Mountain Tour and we had a great experienced to explore the place.Its a short trip but we do a lot of activities like kayaking, mountain tour, dune bashing (optional if heritage village is closed). Mr. Imran our tour guide and driver is very helpful. I recommend this travel agency for exploring UAE.

Cooprative Staff with Excellent services

Had an awesome experience. We were picked from the Hotel by Ajmar (our guide) who was very hospitable and polite. He even helped my aged parents to reach the camp site. Myself and my wife went for dune bashing which was great. The camp had good programs - belly dancing, fire play etc. All needs to be seated on the ground (in cushion) and the dinner is a buffet. AED 50 extra per head will get you an upgrade and can be seated in sofas and the food will be brought to you. Food was kind of ok. But the over all experience was great.

I went on the morning desert safari, it was great value, around 150 AED but included pick up, drop off, short camel ride (a few minutes), opportunity for photo with falcon (although man did ask for a few dirhams which I declined), sandboarding at the top of a dune with loads of photos there and of course the CRAZY dune bashing with our driver, the skilled and ever-charming Imran who made the whole trip a hugely enjoyable occasion and highlight of my short stop in Dubai! Worst family experiencer ever. Desert trip was a Total rip off. Very misleading descriptions and just trying to make extra money from you.They say everything is free but everything had a catch. For example, they say “free henna” but when you get there they say “the small henna is free and you have to pay for more”. And the small henna was basically a little Squiggle.
