Our favorite Iraqi fine dining in Dubai, we have been visiting Aghatti since many years now, beautiful decor and ambience, very detailed, amazing staff are first things you will notice, food is just delicious especially Fish masgouf with their yummy sauces, Lamb Quzi and rice was delicious so were the chicken and lamb kababs, very unique tender and juicy preparation. A must visit…
Our experience at @aghatti Iraqi gourmet restaurant. It was the first time for me in an Iraqi restaurant, the menu is similar to the Arabic cuisine. As it’s a gourmet the standards are high and everything is well dressed and sexy in the plates. We’ve started with cheese sambossas, rocca salad and hummus with meat - the starters are good nothing special to say about it.Then we had maqlouba with meat - maqlouba is composed with rice with tomato sauce, meat and some veggies. The presentation is reversed. You will see in the next posts. Then we had a mix grills - loved the kabab ♥️- and eggplant okra. And to finish we had the KING (that’s why we came) the masgouf fish which is a freshwater fish you can find a lot near to Iraq 🇮🇶. The cooking of this fish is an art, not everybody can master it. This is what you see on the picture. We had half of the fish and it was huge and a lot of meat in it. 3 people can easily share 1/2. The fish was very tasty and light , i was surprised because it was very good. And to conclude, because I never leave without eating sweets, we had a classic kunafa and a baklava with ice cream. Check my next posts you will see.To conclude, the food is delicious, the service even better, the location and the restaurant itself is lovely and the price are a bit pricey but you pay for what you eat, honestly I deserves it. #rashooureview 💯
One of the best restaurants we have ever visited ,, we came late at Iftar time and the service was the best and the food was fresh and delicious to the utmost degree ,, To the Egyptian chef, thank you for the Iraqi kabab and grilled chicken, your performance is great, and to the Filipino chef. Thank you for Al Maklouba .. Thank you for the juices Fresh and kind treatment from Miss Jaycie,We werent expecting all of that ,, a real place deserving 5 stars and we will definitely come back again.
- they were doing a great job, they were super busy and we waited for our Iftar so long but we understood the situation. Many thanks to all of them especially to Filipina lady she worked extra as I saw she has to be only hostess.❤️❤️
The Incharge Philippino lady was rude. She ruined the whole experience. We had a reservation one day a head for outside table, when we reached she treated us like we are begging her for a table. After half an hour another couple came and they asked her for place to sit and she gave them a reserved table straight away without keeping them waiting although they dont have any reservation!!!!!!We reached before Athan and we were fasting. We sat on the chairs waiting for the starters but we didnt get ANYTHING till half an hour or maybe more. The weird thing is that all the people who came after us got served but not us.Another thing, when i went inside the restaurant searching for someone to help me with parking stamp, i saw her but she act as if she didnt see me. Finally she came to me and i gave her the parking coin. She tap it then she handed it over to me without saying a word!!!She has no sense of respect to others at all.We did nathing to her at all and we respected her and the place till the end.
Now let me explain why I gave 3 stars .. I went for Ramadan set menu iftar on Friday and I am a person who tried several iftar buffet and set menu in Dubai I can tell u for sure this resturant is not qualified for hosting such event.. Our table were extremely dirty and sticky when I tried to clean it with wipes and tissue it was black..we pass this and as it called for iftar we expected that all will be good but after one hour waiting what we got on our table was only the starters...our table was beside the kitchen and I can see all the staff were frustrated and tense most of the Muslim customers were nagging and demanding for the items to be served on their table..to make story short all items were so delayed that it took us almost 2 and half hour to reach to sweet and tea....now lets talk about quality of food and prices I can tell for sure that this is one of the best Iraqi resturant in food... food was so good and prices were so fair and dont forget they are in La mer and their location is prime
Not even close to goodThe most disturbing part is the positive reviews I’ve read from some about this place which is not even close to realityThey welcome you with the term “you’ll have to pay for the water, or water is not included in iftar “Food is not good specially the starters, portions are small and served in a paper cupFresh pomegranate juice was too sweet to be fresh (although they said it was)Iftar was 18:52 and they only served us at 19:10 although we had a reservation and when we asked why the food was late they said because we ordered drinks first 😀Main dish was good compared to everything else, taste was ok, fish was salty but portions were okDessert wasn’t good either, Kunafa doesn’t taste like Kunafa, they only had 3 options of desserts out of 6 they were supposed to have and they only told us after we finished with main dishNo manager or supervisor was around to talk to her or at least to ask for feedback like other normal restaurantsTheir iftar is priced at 79aed, you can get much better iftars for this price everywhere elseWouldn’t recommend this place
Was amazing thanks to all the staff specially Mr Ahmed and shaymae. I would really recommend this tasty and 7 star restaurant to all. Love the service 😍😍😍😍and food 😋😋😋😋🍴🍴🍴
Tasty Food with very big portions. Good to share. Very friendly staff.
This is by far the best Iraqi cuisine I have ever come across in the country, highly recommended if you want to taste the true Iraqi cuisine. I felt like I was sitting by Tigris river and enjoying the hot food in spring. The food arrived hot and just out the oven, the dolma had been cooked in the best ingredients and measurements. Also, the restaurant served complimentary iraqi bread (samoon and khubbuz) that were fresh out the oven, now I’m thrilled to go eat in person. Thank you!
Love their fish and staff is so good. Their complementary soup is delicious.
Very pleasent restaurant. famous for Iraqi Msakoof fish food.
We ordered barbecue and it was cold, chewy and stinky, overall inedible . The meat was chewy and stinky as well. I ordered gluten free meal and they brought it on bread. They have no idea about food allergies. We also ordered fish and rice which was very soggy and tasteless. The mandi’s spices where too overpowering and it made me puke. The fries were too dry. I recommend them to upgrade their food quality.
Very bad Iftar experience .. slow service .. you have to ask different staff for the same thing again and again .. we paid for the full set menu and we didn’t have our desserts ..
Quite expensive. I would rate it 4 stars if it was cheaper. The fish is good there; however, I feel the sauce of top is full of sugar! They need to check on the quality of the pomegranate molasses that they use as it might not be 100% pomegranate.
A unique dining experience! Everything is presented beautifully and the service was excellent. I love how the food was served in small pots to keep the heat. The food itself was very delicious and authentic. The appetizers, Dolma, masgouf gattan , grills, maqlubah, delicious fresh bread, and end with Iraqi tea - the restaurant design was spot and on the roof top floor was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a unique, authentic and super tasty experience of Iraqi food, like any other restaurant youve been to! Definitely recommended and a new favorite.👌🏼😋
Very friendly service and the fish here is excellent at times. Unfortunately our fish was overcooked, however the manager was very kind to change it for us. Lovely drinks served here and the servers were very polite. Lovely decor and nice seating outside.
Situated in La mer Dubai is having a beautiful view . Fish from this restaurant is tasty with their special marination and is very big in size. You can enjoy meal with big fish and beautiful view .
Inconsistent. The food is not always the highest quality. Service is sometimes good sometimes bad.
Food was not good. Service was great though.
Loved this place will definitely be back. First time here loved the food. The garlic bread that they give you is so nice with a dip. Service was fast staff were lovely. Very happy. 🤗
Good quality .. salads, starters, meat and beef are recommend, not the chickenService is great, prices are reasonable
Excellent staffdelicious foodunforgettable experienceRecommend it to anyone 🐠 🐟
Great experience.. especially the fish and the bread. Also special thanks to Kim our waitress.. very nice and knowledgeable
It is the real Iraqi taste food, unique Masgoof Fish, great service and friendly staff and Ms Tin was so nice to us, recommend it come and visit it :)
The whole family got severe food poisoning from this restaurant, the vacation was ruined due to this terrible choice we made by visiting this terrible place, the service is the worst part the waiters are extremely impolite
Excellent Iraqi cuisine. we tried their signature grilled fish Samak: really really good. its a must-try. Waiters know everything about all the dishes, and can guide you. Cant wait to go back to try their lamb chop cooked during 5hrs in oven...
Restaurant place and decoration was excellent, but menu wasn’t various and I impressed they don’t have Tashreeb🙆🏻♂️I came before they close by more than an hour and food was very cold 😩I would thank Jennel for his generous and insistence to serve Iraqi tea 🌹🌹
Amazing ambiance, high quality food and great service. Thumbs Up!!
One of th Best customers services in town .. really impressed and special thanks to Ahmed Sukkar
This is my first time in this restaurant and I came to try Iraqi food but anfotunatly it was nothing like it.The atmosphere is nice and the service was great but not the food.So I am not sure that l will comeback here except if they hire an iraqi chef.
The best Iraqi restaurant ever.Great food and excellent service ..
Have only tried their dish of Iraqi mahashi, pretty good slightly pricey. and the bread they give as appetizer is quite delicious. will def go back to try other stuff
Such a disappointment, they should be ashamed to name it as Iraqi restaurant, we are generous Iraqis and will never serve such poor quality and quantity of food. Not recommended to anyone.
Unfortunately we are extremely disappointed. The food was below average and an insult to the Iraqi People. The staff and service was very poor. The only reason we gave 1 star is because we cannot give 0 stars.
One of best restaurants I have visited, food and service were at high standard
Very nice food , place and stuff but very expensive
Wonderful service, great food and Iraqi tea! Umm Ali for dessert much recommended
Nice place for Arabic dishes and staff are very friendly, I still have to come for Masqoof and give it a try
The environment and view are good, the food quality and quality are ok, but it is overpriced
No Ac in the resturant ..i have to take my iftar in suffer .. ladies toilets are not working i have to go to the out side far one .. food was not hot.. serving quzi was by woman she put for each person no gloves no mask we used to be served by the cheff in other resturants so its not the right manner to serve quzi dish .. no fruits and desserts were not really tasty and i did not recognize any of the famous arabic sweet .. never never go there again ..i will be expecting them to close there business very soon with this quality
Very nice staff. Authentic Iraqi food.
I loved the food 👌🏼❤️
I didn’t taste the real iraqi tasty food. In total the food taste was very bad.
We are very disappointed with the food, it was cold and blunt.Their cutlery was smelly.
The food was amazing, they had an open buffet for Iftar, a variety of main dishes to include Maskoof fish. Highly recommend.
Best iraqi cuisine from food to the interior I recommend it for people who like to try iraqi food
Great food lovely restaurant
One of the best Iraqi restaurants in DubaiI tried their special green rice it was deliciousAlso, they do have special fish cooked by wooden fire.
The food is extremely amazing and the presentation is wow !
Nice food
The worst restaurant I ever seen, I ordered 2 Laban and it’s 50 dhs and the food is not clean and I returned home and I threw up.
The food quality is good but overpriced,The staff are friendly except the syrian rude manager (Hussam).I ordered a harra potatoes and I clarified with them that its not spicy, and when i ate it,it was spicy, so the friendly staff offered to change it to plain one and called the manager (Hussain)who insisted in a rude way that is not spicy .I am wondering how come this guy became a manager !!!?
Love the food, will visit again
Very slow service and No priority for Customers
Delicious Iraqi Restaurant, the grilled fish meal is really special.
Food is quite alright but the service is absolutely lacking. very unprofessional
From my best restrain 💞💞
Been there few months ago, poor service over all. Over priced and the portions are not a good representation of the original Iraqi generosity. Over all a poor experience specially when compared to other Iraqi restaurants around Dubai.
If your looking for an Iraqi cuisine , this would be the wrong place to visit. I ordered the kabab dish.. not good.
The best of its kind, Lively working place, Friendly and understanding.
Great ambience.... Presentable staff... Awesome good!!!
A very unique dining experience! Everything is served beautifully and the service was excellent. I loved how the food was served in tiny pots to preserve the heat. The food itself was so delicious and authentic. The dolma, tabbouleh and freshly baked bread were exceptionally great, as well as everything else we tried. The dessert menu is another thing entirely, the red velvet cake was mouthwatering and the knafa was also like nothing Ive tried. I loved the oops I fell down as well. The design of the restaurant is spot on and the upstairs deck was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a unique, authentic and super tasty experience of Iraqi food, its like no other restaurant youve been to! Definitely recommended and a new favourite.
One of the best restaurants, I dont understand ppl who is rating it low. Masqoof dish is highly recommended.
Phenomenal! Loved it. Very Iraqi , very authentic , very tasty!
If youre looking for good ingredients and a nice environment its the place to go, the food is a bit disappointing though.I ordered the biryanni and was disappointed to find that it wasnt special at all, in fact Ive had better biryanni at my friends grandmothers place. The salads werent half bad and one of the people with me ordered the mix grill which they really enjoyed so I guess thats good.I really liked the look of the place inside and will go again sometime to try out that fish which they display in the window. The place is great for groups but I wouldnt recommend for a quick bite.
Nice iRaqi food .. little expensive
Nothing special, Iraqi Kabab was good , Tekka not that much. Overpriced.
Good food and service
Amazing cuisine... amazing decor
Food was not bad, Maskoof was ok but not great for the extremely high price of it!
Flavorful healthy Iraqi food
Very good food
Delicious food and great service
