One of the iconic restaurants in Dubai.All the food is just amazing. We took the 3 persons menu and the price per dish is around 35-50 AED.I also attached the menu from today 31.08.2021.If you come during the high traffic times you may need to wait a bit (12:30-15:30 lunch and 18:30+).The host speaks perfect English, so it’s easy to order and get around.I highly recommend it if you’re in the area. A+

The kebab was really tendered and juicy, place was cozy and staff are friendly. The owner was going around the table making sure everything is okay and guest are happy. I recommend the lintels with chicken soup and the plate for 3 persons if you are 2, and try cream with soda soft drink it is amazing and reminded me with my childhood. The place overall is amazing and worth it.

Nice to have Kabab there and different types of meet, the soup is really nice and recommended, you have to try it , the tandoori is nice.They didn’t provide us tea after meal which i know a lot of people getting it.The staff are friendly and helpful.The location are really busy , there is two restaurants beside to each other.We had dates and toffee given when about to leave which was nice.We have pay 150 which I believe over rated a bit if you consider the place and the location of the restaurant.

Top rated family owned Authentic Persian Kebab Restaurant close to Al Fahidi Station now called Sharaf DG Station & to some Historical Sites in the Old Dubai. It is always crowded during the rush hour and people do not mind waiting to be seated to taste their most delicious and freshly prepared kebabs. Photos, paper notes, clocks, little trinkets and lifetime memories decorate the restaurant. I went here several times and I cant wait to see some improvements in the interior and more space for customers. Overall, the best Kebab place Ive ever been to.

One of the Famous Restaurent since ages for its Kebabs & Persian/ Iranian Food. We have tried the mix plater for 3 , but basically its Ideal for 2 persons. The kebab was really tendered and juicy, humous was delicious the lentil soup was awesome. Its a cozy but busy place specially on weekends . They have 2 restaurants in raw, The staffs were friendly, the owner of the restaurant walking around and taking care of guests. The restaurant Interior is fully decorated with photos on walls, Hanging antique stuff, table top with world wide currency notes. we took pictures with the owner. Price was slightly on the higher end, but no compromise on food’s freshness & taste. As per government rules, tea was not served. The restaurant is also famous cause of occasionally celebrities visits. We got parking very easily. But heard that its a nightmare some time. The place is over all awesome & highly recommend.

I liked this restaurant, it provide a very special traditional Persian BBQ, the taste is so special and the environment is so welcoming and warm.They have many options from which you can chose like mix for 4 or 5 ppl. They provide generous starters ( salad, yougharet onion and others)Parking might be an issue especially during rush hours, paid parking avaliable around it.I strongly recommend it for everyone who lives or plans to visit Dubai.

I went to it yesterday. I loved that they had pictures all around the place. It gives a certain vibe to the place. However, the food was GREAT i really liked it. We ordered the chello kabab and it was yummy 10/10. I would definitely recommend🖤

Regardless if you live or just visiting Dubai, this place is a must go! It’s been serving great Persian grills for over 40 years now in the same place with the same spirit. The location and venue may not look as fancy as other places in Dubai, but trust me for a minute it takes you back to where we all come from. One of the best tasty original kababs in UAE ( if not the best ). We were 4 ppl and went late time at night around 12:30 AM, the food was fresh, delicious Hummos, and the kebabs was juicy and hot, specially lemon kebab was on the spot. The staffs very friendly and hard workers. The decorations very originals and nice, you will find all celebrities photos who visited the restaurants over the years on the walls. You will find parking behind the building. We were 4 ppl and the price was 275 AED which is a little over priced comparing to other original kababs’s places. Overall we enjoyed allot and will sure come back to the one of the oldest restaurants in Dubai.

The kebabs are so moist and juicy, especially the mutton minced kebab , I loved it. The roti is good and also the hummus. Definitely recommend to visit this place for their kebabs. There are 2 restaurants in the same line, the bigger one is for bachelors and families can also sit. The smaller one is only for families which is little bit quieter too. The owner of the restaurant let me in their kitchen as I was taking the pic of the kebabs from out. A good memory with this restaurant 😊.

He understood that we werent familiar with the Iranian cuisine and he helped us decide what to eat!The place was jam packed at 4pm, we had to wait approx 10min to get a table, and we did not regret deciding on waiting!The meat was succulent and juicy! The rice with melted butter and dried pomegranate that goes with the meat was excellent! So was the roti!My favourite was the grilled beef and the minced chicken kebab!You wont be disappointed! If you are in the area, its definitely worth stopping there!

Let me share the the Best Irani Restaurant in Dubai so far... the food is mind blowing the taste it’s phenomenal the ambience is antique that I like you have a lot of pictures in this restaurant and while you have placed your order you can just look at everything around you and pass your time. You have different money notes on the table and I bet you we live in the 21st century and you don’t get to see this quite often. The owners have definitely preserved the antique image of the restaurant especially the have preserved the Taste of the food it is so yummy that it keeps bringing me back again and again to this place.Last bur not the least the staff is so helpful and friendly as well with the service 5 stars to them.A place to try for all the food lovers.

I am a customer since 1990. Ostaadi is one of the most emblematic places of Dubai. We often use the best to describe the quality of current this in our life. The Ostaadis kebab is a real seven stars food!Best is not enough to describe its taste!

This restaurant is overrated. Portions are pretty small, our kebabs had three pieces of fries with them! Meat kebab is decent but you can find kebabs like that almost anywhere in Dubai.

It was a long time wish to review this hotel today I had the chance I would like to say if you go during the peak time (weekend and lunch/dinner time) I suggest you to book your place i had to wait half an hour for the seat. Amazing restaurant. People who leave 1 star, 2 star etc dont know much about kebabs, food or flavors. Expect the meat to be tender, fresh, flavorful with a well balanced seasoning. We also had 2 plates hummus for a cheap 7 AED each and falafel for 15 AED. Delicious. People complaining about price need to 1) get a reality check of what it costs to run a restaurant and 2) get a job. Aand FYI: This restaurant have been around since 1978. Speaks for itself.

Hidden gem in Dubai. This is the one of the oldest Iranian restaurant in Dubai. It’s hot spot so it can be crowded. Better to come here on week days. I heard the place from one traveler on youtube. They have tasty iranian kebabs. They service dates,yoghurt and some vegetables garnish for free. Also don’t forget to ask free tea after meal.Prices are good.We were two so we choosed mix 2. It’s for teo person and very big portions.

Delicious Iranian kebabs. Just go for the platters and youll get a taste of everything. Their Dal Gosht (lental and red meat) Curry is very tasty, as is their hummus. Dont miss this very old but favourite staple of the Dubai food scene.

Good kebabs but a little over priced and overrated place because of its popularity . The biggest problem is the parking . Had to go around twice from Bur Juman to Fahidi just to get a parking place near the restaurant,not worth that.

Just okay, a bit disappointed after all the hype. The flavor of the meat was delicious, but very dry, and we were crammed into a corner without enough space for our food, despite there being plenty of extra tables. Not expensive, but expensive for the quality and experience.

As many have mentioned, Al Ustad is an establishment here in Dubai. Come here for the great kebabs, saffron butter rice and sulaimani tea. Would recommend, however parking may be difficult to find. Would advise to come during off peak hours.

So to go to the older part of Dubai (But Dubai), to a restaurant established in 1978 is really a walk into history.The walls are covered with old photos of UAE and Dubai leaders from paper cuttings. Photos of all famous people who have visited. The glass top tables are covered with currency notes from all over the world.The sons of the original owner (may his soul rest in peace) are hands-on at the restaurant band engaging with all customers. They welcome you to the restaurant saying welcome home.Having lived in the UAE for 37 years, this is one place I always bring visitors to and recommend all visitors to eat a meal at.

We received quite a special treatment at the location. The managers are very friendly and the food is just amazing. A small cozy place which means longer waiting times, but its worth the wait. A MUST try restaurant in Dubai.

Pretty good food. However, they really need to invest some money in the restaurant. The bathroom is embarrassing and the main hall is also showing signs of severe wear and tear. I understand this is a dubai classic but everyone can benefit from TLC every once in a while. Finally, the servers also are rather slow.

We ordered two plates, the same kebabs in one plate were great, and the same in another were too sour to consume.When we asked if we could get a replacement, we were refused straightaway - take it or leave it attitude.Good place to go to once, but dont expect great customer service from the manager.

A very special place with good quality kababs. All big celebrities have been here and I would recommend it to go at least once. But if i consider the price vs the quantity, it can be improved as I felt the amount of food was not enough compared to the price they charged. Be aware that parking can be a problem.

Unfortunately they dont know to treat the family with kids (a disabled kid) those who come late night 12 am (especially the tourists). We were waiting for more than 30mins outside for the reason no place inside.At the same time those(locals) came behind us were allowed to get in. What a great hospitality 😠.. For Persian kebabs, theres no better experience than eating at @ostadi_1978. Its not just the food, but the eclectic ambience and super friendly hosts that make sure you keep coming back for more..This platter is the mix for 3 which has Kabab Khas (mutton marinated in yoghurt and barbequed and chicken marinated in yoghurt and barbequed), Joujeh Kebab (chicken cubes marinated in saffron and barbequed) and Sultani Kebab (mutton tenderloin and minced barbequed) amongst other delicious and perfectly cooked kebabs. Dont forget to order some saffron rice to go with it and the yummy chicken soup with dill and lentils
