Went for breakfast on Friday morning, the restaurant was emptyOrdered :Aloo Paratha: priced at 5aed the size was small and lacked flavors.Halwa Puri: The portion of halwa was huge bowl and tasted good with proper amount of sweetness. Served with 2 puris and bowl of chana masala.Aloo Keema: Keema was just okay and bland.Didn’t like d fact halwa and few curries was prepared, reheated and served. It’s pricey and not worth the money.. in d same amount you can have some really good Pakistani food at other places.

I visited the restaurant for the Friday breakfast last week. I really like Lahori food for breakfast and that’s what they were serving. The hostess/waitress was very friendly and informed us about all the dishes on the menu. We ordered small portions of everything to give them a try. Everything was made on order which means everything was freshly prepared. When you talk about desi Pakistani food Daskhawan is place to be. The staffs are really welcoming and I am impressed especially with mixed breads they have and which are made hot fresh .. I really loved how fluffy it was.Secondly their chicken special karhai surely was top notch . The mixed kebab platter was decent but the mutton kebab was bit dry , however was full of flavours served with raita.Their lahori shwarma was just ok as the chicken was served cold.Lassi was really well made and loved the frothyness of it....However good experience and surely recommend the visit with family and friends.

Dastarkhwan in #JLT serves traditional Pakistani, Indian and Arabic food that is made fresh, tastes good and is reasonably priced..I tried the Shish Tawook (very lightly spiced grilled chicken which was light), Chapli Kebab (spicy Peshawari kebab made from minced meat), Special Chicken Karahi (popular Pakistani dish distinguished by its rich gravy and a fragrant finishing of green chillies and slivers of ginger) and Palak Paneer (Indian dish made from Paneer in a thick gravy made from puréed spinach and seasoned with spices) which was the star dish for me because it tasted very fresh and flavourful. Their Kalonji naan (with black onion seeds) was absolutely perfect and went brilliantly with all the dishes. The traditional Roghni naan and parathas were good too. Ended the meal with cold kheer that was heavy but tasted quite good..With Dastarkhwan you can expect a no-frills restaurant that serves up fresh food that will definitely satisfy your taste buds.

One of the best restaurant for Pakistani and Indian food. Food taste is like home. Love the Special Karahis, biryani, bbq and weekend breakfast. Prices are very reasonable.They have small arabic menu as well which is also very good and reasonably priced.

Very unassuming place but the food had such a delicious home-cooked feel. I went in for a light lunch, but ended up eating way too much 😏 The Rogani naan was probably one of the best Ive had... perfectly soft and fluffy with toasted sesame seeds on top. Went brilliantly with the freshly made palak paneer and kadhai chicken. They also have an array of kebabs and other Arabic dishes. Definitely worth a visit given its price point!

I kid you not because I really fell in love with the special mutton karahi which was cooked in butter. The mean was really soft and the gravy is not like the usual karahi and had a unique and nice taste to it. I got my delivery within agreed times with decent packaging as well. We also liked the chicken Achari handi, the yakhni pulao and rohni naan. Overall the food here was excellent and is definitely a place I would order from again.

Very bad experience. just imagine it took 1 hour for samosa only. Any every time waiter was asking 5 minutes. finally we got Samosa with cockroach. and last but not the least staff have no manners.Strongly not recommended.

Hi All, please dont order their mix grill, the portion is not good, it doesnt justify AED 72. I ordered mix grill with fries and received only grill with less portion and without fries. The taste of the barbque is awful, it doesnt taste good at all, actually it was tasteless like water. The sauce i.e. mint chutney was tasteless as well, it makes the taste of barbque more tasteless. I ll suggest you guys to look for other options instead of this so called pakistani restaurant. I hardly ate 2 3 pieces and lost my appetite. The food was cold too, they dont have proper boxes for delivery to keep the food hot.

First of all the food isnt that great, they cook frozen food and there Head chef is chef Mike ( microwave)Secondly there delivery staff are very disrespectful and the person managing them and sending them out with out customers contact details is very poor at service.The delivery guy came to me late and then wen I call back the delivery guy calls me up and says he was knocking my door for 20 minutes where as I had my phone in hand waiting and expecting a call.Poorly managed and lack of patience in the staff.No more from my side and plz dont waste ur tym ordering here.

It was a wonderful experience to eat in Darsatar Khwan. We enjoyed chicken malai boti, shawarma, mint juice, plater and mutton paloa rice. Sooo yammy. 👍👍👍

The worst experience ever. Food was nasty and extremely spicy. Food quality was terrible and very small portion. I spoke to the restaurant and they didnt even apologize or do anything to help.

The food is good! But the quantity is always changing. This last time it was not even half bowl of Kadhai Chicken for a 27dh meal

So i ordered a Aloo Palak which i supposed to be Vegitarian. While i was eating i found a piece and remnants of meat in the dish!! I am vegan and have been vegetarian forever and this really disgusted me and put me off for the food completely! I was so disappointed, I called the restaurant to complain and they offered to send replacement but I asked for something else instead and I couldn’t trust them with something like Aloo Palak again as it seems they make a batch with meat and potatoes and just hold the meat if you order the “vegetarian” version, which is really disgusting and not suitable for vegan/vegetarians at all!

Best place for desi food. Lahori shawarma is amazing. Also i tried chicken karhai and un expectedly the Pizza was also delicious.

I visited Dastarkhwan many times with family and discovered real taste of Pakistani cuisine in Dubai. I loved Lahori Shawarma in starter followed by special mixed grilled platter.Must visit place. Simply the best!

The worst experience ever!We went for a lunch one day and the food was alright so went for dinner in a few days but it wasn’t a good experience.The gentleman there insisted we must try their breakfast and trust me; it was worst experience ever. The Nihari was not even 1% closer to it that we returned as is. Halwa didn’t look or taste like it. We left that also after having a bite each. We ordered Omelette also but it didn’t arrive in spite of waiting for 25 minutes which was eventually cancelled.They claim their Doodh Patti (Milk Tea) is great but was like hot milk with some plastic smell.In short, waste of time, money and hunger.

Ordered food from this restaurant, an absolute waste of money, worst Indian/Pakistani food Ive tried in Dubai. Everything was bland, so I had to spice it up myself, bhindi was so oily, I had to get rid of good 6 tablespoons of oil out of it. In the end the food still tasted horrible. Wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone

I went there for breakfast after seeing an ad in Instagram and ordered traditional Paya with Naan bread and it was delicious.. genuinely authentic taste from Lahore.

A little taste of heaven.I kept seeing their posts on Instagram and finally decided to try it. I would say they offer very close to authentic Pakistani food in Dubai.I tried their naan, nihari and halwa puri. A friend tried paya and tawa piece. Apart from Channa being over-salty, everything was just perfect. 5/5 recommended.

Poor home delivery. Ordered breads at 1 PM didn’t get the delivery till 2:30 PM... when called for follow up I was told that they don’t have a rider and guy on the phone didn’t looked too kin to serve ... we were left with hungry guests and embarrassed hosts... poor service order at your own risk

Dastarkhwan is an amazing place to have some yummy Arabic and Pakistani cuisine. Tasty food and fabulous service, this place is a must try. My favourite here is the Chicken Special Kadai, which can be paired with their garlic or spicy naan. Definitely a must try!

Very bad experience. They cooked mixed vegetables in cream. I asked them if there is cream inside or not and they kept on comforting me there is no cream inside. The moment I was about to finish my meal, their chef told me there is a cream inside. I am lactose intolerant and they damn care about their customers

Ive only had take out from this place several times and I must say that they do have really good dishes. They have a decent variety of Desi food and they taste just as one would expect those dishes to taste. The biryani is not that great, but the mutton gravies and chicken korma kind of stuff tastes really good. A little heavy on garam masala so Id love if they change that.Ambience: A very standard and non-fancy arrangement. Comfortable though.Service: The service was quick - the staff is friendly as well.Food: The food here is more or less average. It is tasty but does not really stand out. Still a good eat out spot.Location: The location is easy to find but the parking is a bit of an issue so have to wait queit a while during peak times.Recommendations: It is a nice place to go to once in a while. I have visited a few times and don’t see a reason to not go again.
